I'm right there with you on enjoying BF with my kids. Our family all lives close enough that we don't need a couple days a year to get together. It happens all year long.

I guess its just not what I shop for. Personally, my phone has been my time piece for years so I really don't see a need for one these days. Granted, people still use them but do they all have to be in the deals section???

So pay a few dollars for the protection plan. It won't be much for a $98 tv. Their protection plans are actually very good. Both times I have had to use them, they don't require you to send the tv back, they state to destroy it in a environmentally friendly way. Ha. OK. sure. They send you a check for the amount you paid for the item. Not a bad deal. One of the tv's that I claimed would search for channels everytime it was turned on. Not a big hassle but something I called in about.

That's what I'm thinking about USPS. I NEVER get things from Kohl's quickly when the USPS is involved. It's weird how FedEx or UPS will delivery it to the local post office to have them deliver it 2 miles down the road to our house. Odd.

I'm not sure on this story. For one, of the hundreds of packages that have been sent by Prime to me, not one has ever came by US Postal service that I can remember. There's always rumors of the US Postal Service discontinuing Saturday delivery because of costs and now they are thinking of adding Sunday?? Weird. But I may be wrong.

The prices won't ring up until the specified time but at least the early people got them. I don't feel bad for the people that come in an hour before sales start.

Last year Walmart had Ipads and 32" TV's as "everyone gets one" items. If they ran out in the store you filled out an order that came later but at sale price.

I worked at Walmart 20 years ago and we had "black Friday". Where did you live that they didn't have it yet?

I've shared this last year... We live close enough to all of our family and friends that it's really not a special day for us. We get together often anyway. I do like having the sales the night before so that I am already up. It ends up being an event for us and our friends. We hang out in Walmart for several hours and the teenagers get a kick out of the whole ordeal. Just depends on the individual.

The tax they do charge should be less than what you would have paid in a store though right? I know I save 3% with Kohl's online because I don't have to pay the city tax that would be added in stores.

Check your junk mail folders if you can. Sometimes it goes there.

Also write down the item numbers for easier re-entry if needed. Don't forget to sign in while the stuff is in your cart, it may help if they all disappear and you may be able to just log in again. Main thing is to remember that thousands of people are doing the same thing you are so don't be surprised if it's not smooth and don't give up!

Got my membership and invite this afternoon. Also received a $20 GC promo today, so it really worked out to $80 for membership.
Talked to cell phone manager while there and she said they have "plenty" of GS3s. They will give vouchers and appointment times to anyone that doesn't want to wait in line to activate tonight. She said appointments would be Mon, Tues and Wed only.
That's the word at our store in Ohio. I'm going to leave in a few minutes to go wait in line. Good luck to me!
So what does the Prime membership actually get you above the regular business account? I looked online but all it said was special discounts. How do you know that you will be buying their "special" discounts throughout the year enough to justify $65 more?

I agree no one is forcing those people to work at Walmart. All this whining is outrageous. In my opinion unions are very bad for workers. Just look at hostess, the union went on strike now all these people are out of a job. Nice work union! Besides no one complains about most restaurants being open. What about those people I guess they don't count. I say if Walmart workers want to strike they can find a new job come monday. Another personal opinion based on what I've been told Walmart pays pretty good and offers decent benifits. I'm not saying they pay better than another retail business, but I feel they pay a fair wage. When I thought about working at Walmart ten or so years ago starting pay was $10.50 in North Carolina. I'm sure its more than that now, or maybe not with the way the ecomnony is these days. On that note these workers should just be glad to have a job.
Apparently you have never worked Union. If one was offered to most people that bash Unions they would take it in a heartbeat because of the better wages. Unions are around because of the dirty business owner that makes huge profits and doesn't reward their employees for making it possible. Tell me, how much were those Hostess workers making?

I just want to say if anyone is on the fence about these speakers, they are awesome. My boys each have a set and we have a set for at the dock at the lake house and they really are a great set of speakers for the price. I ended up paying around $45 a set and am completely happy with them.
