I went to Target 1st. Got there little after 5 & there was a few already there. I am glad I got there when I did cause most of the ones at the front of the line were there for the 17.77 DVDs. They was all gone in a matter of secs of the store being opened.

A friend of mine who works at Target overheard a few ladies talking about Best Buy. Apparently 2 women went at it in the store over some 10.00 discount thing(didnt get the whole story) & the one woman punched the other one in the face & broke her nose! Now I have to say this is just ridiculous. If you can't control yourself better then that shopping then you need to stay home. I have always wanted to go to Best Buy on BF but now I think I am going to make sure I stay clear of that place. I thought Walmart was bad.

I went to 2 stores & came home. The weather here is getting sucky so I thought to heck with & come home. I went to Target 1st for the 17.77 DVD sets. Boy did those go fast. I got my hands on the 2 I wanted. I had a time finding the Buffy one & when I did find it there was only 1 left on the shelf. I thought nobody better not even touch it cause I will fight em tooth & nail to get it. LOL For some reason I thought Shopko opened at 6 instead of 5 so I did miss out on 1 thing I wanted to get there. I pretty much got everything I wanted to get. Sunday will be goin to the mall to spend a few hours looking. Nice to be home & in my warm jammies. heh

I took a nap after 4 & woke up little after 8. I will probally take another snooze around 1am & get up between 3:30 & 4. Right now I am making out my lists on what I want for x-mas & what to buy for others.

Actually I am glad I Walmart doesnt have anything good. I really dont wanna be there this year after last year. Walmart will still have tons of people. They always do every year.

Late last night I was on Shopko's website & saw there sales for today. I had to go cause they have a Playstations 2 with bonus of racing whell & some other controller for 149.99. I was gonna get it at Target but thought this would be better. I got to Shopko & they didnt even have them out yet so had someone go in the back to get me one. I also found out that they was a limit to 25. My hubby is gonna be so happy come x-mas. :)

There wasnt many ads in my paper which is a surprise. Usually the papaer is just thick. I bought 2 papers & neither one had a Shopko ad. They always have a Shopko ad so I dont know what is goin on. I was able to see there ad for tomorrow online tho.

I have noticed thru the last few years that the free gifts are dying down. I think it is a waste of time trying to go from place to place to get the free stuff. I use to do that years ago but not anymore. I think JC Penny's needs to get something different then those tiny snow globes.

I had felt sorry for this woman. I can't believe what some people will do to get some extra cash. I'm still goin this year. I dont have to go to WM early in the morning so I should be ok. heh

It came in the mail today. I looked thru it & am like wooooohooooo I dont have to waist valuable time & be pushed left & right & possibly stuck in the cheapy DVD section. I can head to Target instead.

No but I did see there online ad for there pre Thanksgiving sale.

I would give anything for 50 degree weather. :)

Thanks guys. Moto, I had no choice. The people were continuing to head towards me so I was stuck. I tried to push my way thru the crowd but no luck. It was like trying to go thru a herd of elephants.

LMAO at this one. 10) Before the big day, as you are staking out the stores and making some advanced purchases, save the security tags. There is always one lady on BF who brags about how she has to buy 36 of the one item you went there for to give to all of her nieces and nephews. Covertly place one or more of these tags on her as the crowds head into the store. the barrage of security when she sets off the alarm at the entrance will slow her and allow you to get to the item first before she takes them all. I would love to do this to a whole bunch who are in Walmart.

I just checked weather.com & it is back to 40 for a high & chance of snow showers is 30% so I dont think we will get any icky weather. :)

A few hours if that. What is nice tho is after my shopping I can come home & sleep the rest of the afternoon. :)

From the places I have gone to I would say it is a tie between Walmart, Shopko & Target. Now that we have a super Walmart there is no long lines outside just inside waiting to check out.

My horror story was last year at Walmart. Getting stuck in the section with the cheap DVD players trying to push my way thru the crowd. I was stuck which seemed forever so the only thing I could do to try & get people out of my way was hand out DVD players!

I dont know if this is happening here. Last year Walmart was open on Thanksgiving. The years before they would be closed. However we now have a super WM. I remember last year they was opened all day & into Friday. People started showing up in the middle of the night waiting for the early specials.

I havent gotten anything in the mail that I know of. Didnt check mail yesturday so dont know. Most times tho the Walmart ad for here will be in the newpaper that is out on Thanksgiving.

I really dont think I will be goin to Walmart 1st this year. I think I will be goin to Target 1st for the Ps2 & the DVDs. I cannot get over the great DVD sales they are having.

Gamecube is more for kids. Teenage to Adult I would suggest X-Box or PS2. Last year I got my hubby a Gamecube cause it was real cheap at Walmart. Big mistake. He plays it some & has a few games he really likes but now all the good games are for X-Box or PS2. So this year he is getting a PS2. I really dont have the money to buy it like last year but given I spend most of the time on the puter he needs some form of entertainment. Last night I was at Walmarts site & they have games 2 for 20.00 so I bought him 2. :) He is gonna be very happy this year. :)

It was suppose to be in the 40s here but now it is 30s & possible snow showers. YUCK! I will still be goin tho. I have went in worse conditions. LOL

Hi, my name is Angela. I'm a big shopper day after Thanksgiving & had no idea until recently that there was a message board for this. Last year I had quite an experience in WalMart. I was stuck in the section where they was selling those cheap DVD players. I tried to make my way thru the crowd but people just kept pushing me back so I was stuck & was handing people DVD players! I didnt think I was gonna leave that store alive. I'm not sure I will be heading back there this year. I think my big shopping spree will be at Target this year. It just amazes me how nuts people can get on this shopping day. I have come across many rude & obnoxious people who dont give a damn if they bump into you, shove ya, ram there shopping cart into you, etc. What also annoys me so bad is people standing in the aisles talking. This day of all is not the time to just stand in the aisles to chat. Also I really think kids should be banned from the stores on this shopping day. They help add to the chaos IMO. I didnt mean to rant but there are just some things that really annoy me on this shopping day. I know I could just stay home but I do save money. I just can't stay away from the sales. LOL I am a shopaholic. You will probally see me here often. :)
