  1. I went to Radio shack to check out their frames. They had just gotten them in, so I wasn't able to see the picture quality, but I was able to get some details on the 11.3" frame. It is SmartParts, 800x480 resolution, takes SD, xD, MMC, Compact Flash, and USB, has a remote, and the frame itself didn't feel too cheap or plasticy (it is plastic, though).
  2. I don't have one - so take this with a grain of salt - but I've heard that the batteries die pretty quickly on those. I guess if it's cheap enough, it doesn't matter.
  3. Er, maybe I didn't mean sticky. Perhaps this thread could just be renamed so that everyone knows to post their BF digital frame questions here. There are a couple different threads now, and it would be nice to see all the information in one place and this thread seems to be the most active one. :)
  4. Anybody have any experience with either of the Radio Shack frames (Optimus 7" or the 11.3") on sale for BF? I'm going to try and stop by there today and see if they have them out. I'm curious as to the picture quality.
  5. Mods--- Is it possible that we could get a sticky for The Official Black Friday Digital Photo Frame Discussion??
  6. I'm pretty sure that means it has two different faceplates (ie silver or black). You're not getting 2 separate screens.
  7. I read in consumer reports that the oxiballs are terrible. They ranked them as one of the worst for cleaning. Interestingly enough, they said Walmart's Great Value brand detergent performed well and was very cheap. I can't find it in any Walmart by me, though.
  8. I used to go to two of them in Garner, and they were also on different schedules. If you are ever around I-40 and HWY 70, the Target at White Oak Crossing always had great clearance deals. I moved to Illinois and my city only has ONE Target. It's horrible! Everything is always picked over. By the way, I used to live in Apex. It was before they put in the SuperTarget, though.
  9. At my Kroger the buy 8, get $7 back applies to the cheese which is on sale for 3/$5. There was also some coupons in the store for buy 3 get $1 off. This makes it about $.55 per bar/bag. Not too shabby if you use a lot of cheese.
  10. mysteryshops.com is good. I have been with them for about 5 years now and never had any problems. Jaime
  11. I went to the Carolina premium outlets (in NC) last year on BF and it was great! Most of the stores opened at midnight. We went at about 4am and it was dead. It was wonderful. The workers said it was really really busy at 12 (lines out the doors). We stayed until almost 7 and it was getting busy again. My advice is to go at about 2:30 and leave before it gets busy again. Some of the stores have SUPER deals from 12-7ish to get people to come. You might be able to find them out on the mall's website. Last year I was mailed a 40% off coupon at Haggar's and they had great deals already, so I got shirts and stuff for $6. I would definitely go again if I could. I moved to IL this summer and no outlet mall close Jaime

    Snow

Hmmm guess I should have read the entire message before posting. Looks like someone else lives in the snowbelt! I'm originally from the Concord/Painesville area. My in-laws live in Leroy near Chardon. They usually get pelted. Where are you at motoXmom?

    Snow

No snow here in Raleigh, NC. Then again if it was, there would be widespread panic. My family lives in the snowbelt of NE Ohio. They could get up to 2 feet of snow. Days like these make me glad I moved to the south!

    Radio Shack

I've never gone shopping early in the morning on BF before. There is some stuff that I want at radio shack this year. Are there usually lines at Radio Shack? I'd rather not line up in the middle of the night.
  16. This has all been very helpful. Thanks so much!
  17. Thanks so much for the advice! I was hesitant about getting the littletouch, now I definitely won't. I didn't know the alphabet bus and my first leapPad were two different things. Is one any better than the other? Are there more books for the First LeapPad?
  18. I want to buy my cousin a leapfrog for christmas. She will be 2 in February. I have no idea what learning level she is at now. Will the "My first leappad alphabet bus" be too advanced for her? It says ages 3-5yrs. My concern with getting the "Little Touch LeapPad" is that she will grow out of out very soon. As you can probably tell, I am not a mother and have no idea about kids. Thanks for your help.
