  1. I hope this is not the "official" Dell BF ad; if it is I'm pretty disappointed. I was hoping they would have an Inspiron 1525 or its Vostro equivalent for $399 with a Core 2 Duo processor and at least 2GB ram. It looks like the closest laptop in this ad to what I'm looking for is the 1525 for $559, but it's priced higher than I would be willing to pay for that configuration. Perhaps they'll do some last-minute BF specials to drive volume.
  2. Cyber Monday is a gimmick that seems to be all talk and no substance - For the past few years, I haven't seen any deals on cyber monday that were any better than normal sales and nothing anywhere near as good as black friday sales.

I agree completely. Cyber Monday has got to be the most over-hyped, overrated shopping day there is. It is nothing more than a marketing gimmick without any real deals. If you can't find a deal on the item you want on Black Friday the skip Cyber Monday and wait until the last two weeks before Christmas.
  3. It's really not that unusual for Christmas decorations to be out right now. Starting about five years ago, large department stores and discounters started receiving and displaying Christmas merchandise shortly after Labor Day. This gives them a longer selling season and thus reduces the amount of merchandise that has to be marked down in November or December in order to get rid of it.
  4. If they spent as much time putting together a decent BF ad as they do threatening legal action, maybe they wouldn't put out the snoozers they've been passing off as BF ads the last few years.

They don't have to worry about me shopping there on BF anyway; there are too many other stores with real ads to waste my time at Wally world.

  5. No where will let you if they catch it.

If they are out of the paper you can still get the free picture when it comes in.

I've reprinted many a professional photo at CVS and Walmart (even with an obvious studio logo on the photo) and haven't had any issues. The photolab workers at my neighborhood Walgreens seem to relish telling customers NO and being sticklers for the copyright policy. One told me that the photo doesn't even have to have a photographers signature or logo on it; if they think it "looks" professional they can refuse to release it to you. So even an amateur photographer that takes great pictures can have his or her print denied because it "looks too good to have been taken by an average person " (their words, not mine).

  6. hmmm well ordered one and my store called to say they are out of paper

I think they're full of it; they just hate to give away free prints! Also, be ready to battle the copyright Nazis at Walgreens if you upload a professional picture. The Walgreens around me won't release the print to you unless you bring them a copyright release from the original photographer or studio.
  7. I found the Phillips 100-watt high fidelity multimedia speaker set ( subwoofer and two satellites ) on clearance today at 75% off. They were regularly $59.99 on clearance for $14.98. I even used a $5 toy coupon and a $5 giftcard from the earlier Softsoap deal for a FINAL price of $4.98! This a good inexpensive speaker set for desktop computers, laptops, MP3 players, DVD players, even TVs. The UPC on the box is 037849951781.
  8. Is this camera pretty easy to use? Looking to buy my first digital camera. Nice specs it seems but ease of use? Thanks..

Having owned several Canon Powershots, I found the camera to be very easy to use. Even if you've never owned a Canon before you should have no trouble learning to how use this camera. I always recommend that you read the instructions first if you're not familiar with the camera in order to learn all its features.
