  1. Is this coupon going out to all charge customers or only those who spent over a certain amount. I haven't received mine yet and I don't know what is happening to my mail but more and more of the circulars are coming on the last day of the sale or even after it ended. I have the same carrier I have had for years and she just parks the truck and walks the street which is only about a dozen houses so carrying to much shouldn't be the issue.
  2. We just had a concert in my area, the afternoon of the show atleast 50 seats were released.
  3. I have gotten so I shop as little as possible in Walmarts but it is the closest store of any type to my home. It snowed last night and stopped around 10 am and I was at the store around 4 pm, every single cart that was available was full of snow. What that was all about is beyond me. I went down to the seasonal department where the ice melt would be and couldn't find any so asked 2 employees where it might be, neither spoke english. Another peeve of mine is that parents with children always take the kids to the toy department and let them pick out one to play with while they shop. I wanted to get 2 very common popular toys this Christmas and everytime I was there all they had was all scratched up and looked old and used. I would never get a stuffed animal there after seeing so many kids in carts holding and chewing on them and then parents leave them in front of the check out. Why do they allow this? There was a time when I felt there prices where much better than other places but my local supermarkets have gotten really competitive with prices so that is no longer true either.
  4. Thanks for the replies. I think I will let it expire and see if they offer me a better incentive to renew my membership. I don't think I save enough shopping there to pay for the membership and as money gets tighter we cut back where we can and this is one place. Also it is a further drive for me than I would make for groceries so will save some gas money. I do enjoy getting a few things in bulk easier to store and buy but will go back to buying smaller packages for awhile.
  5. I have been a member of BJ's for a year and it is time for me to renew. To renew my membership for one year will cost me $48. I know this is probably about $10 more than I paid last year to become a member and at that time I got membership for 15 months. My daughter can get a better deal through her work, $37 for 15 months, but you can only enroll at certain time periods and that won't happen again until May. Does anyone know of a way I can get a better deal. I am not sure I will renew at this cost and wondered if I let my membership lapse if they would then offer a better deal, something like when you decide not to renew a magazine subscription. Being single I don't really buy that much there but I do like some of there meat and it seems easier to get my dog food there. Does anyone have any ideas on this, thanks.
  6. I ordered two Christmas cd's on cybermonday and although the page I received after placing the order showed the correct cd's my email I received shortly afterwards was for 2 different artist. I spent forever on hold until I got someone who told me that someone would call in 7-10 days to get the order correct. I told her to just cancel the order because it was Christmas music and I didn't want to wait a couple of weeks for it to ship. I did receive a confirmation email on the order being canceled and haven't received the cds so they better be canceled. This was my first online order for Best Buy and there is a good chance my last.
  7. My card says only 10% off small electrics, does anyone know if that means kitchenware like a Keurig coffee maker. I know usually the kitchenware is a lesser discount so it would be great if the discount is actually 20%.
  8. I was just at my CVS and used my discount card. I bought just under $100 worth of things and after manufacture coupons, the 30% off and my extra care bucks I got on Black Friday, I paid $2.20. I didn't buy that many things but got hair coloring, 2 body lotions that were $10 each and Claritan allergy medicine and had really good coupons for them. I got a $5 ECB on the Claritan. I also got candy for Christmas that had buy one get one coupons. I didn't buy anything I wouldn't have been buying at full or sale price in the next month. The cashier did keep my card which is probably a good thing or I might be going through my coupons again to see what else I should be picking up. I hope I get another card next year, today was fun.
  9. I started my day at ToysRus. My daughter was happy with all she got while I was the space in line holder. A few people asked me why I was in line with nothing to purchase and I said my daughter is still running around with the cart and they grumbled because I was holding her a spot in line. Went to Penneys, Boscovs and Kohls and although there were people out we felt the crowd was done by half, practically no lines. Walked past Bath and Body and only sales help in there. Also went to Linens and Things, Kmarts, Walmart, Fye and out to lunch and never felt the crowd anyplace was close to previous years. We started at 5 am and got home around 3 happy with all we got. Most places were free standing buildings so lots of driving and looking for parking but again no real problems. Sales have to be way down in this area or else people just aren't into Black Friday that much anymore. We were not looking for electronics so can't speak for that type of store.
  10. Isn't Macy's advertising the worst? I have a credit card but never get anything in the mail advertising any of there sales including Black Fridays. I get tons of mail from everyother store. Then to compound it they very rarely advertise in the paper so if you didn't catch a tv ad you have no idea when there special days are. I don't understand why except maybe if you are a true Macys shopper price or sales doesn't really matter to you.
  11. This happened once this summer at my local Sears but the computer outage was caused by a lighning strike. They had to call on every single credit purchase and the lines were outrageous. I was going to pay cash and asked why couldn't they open a cash only line and get those peoples sales and was told they could not and would not do that so left my stuff behind and never went back. People were buying for back to school and I wonder how many sales they lost that day. I couldn't believe how rudely I was treated for suggesting a cash only lane and sent an email to them and the manager from the store was suppose to call about the matter but never did. The nice thing about caller id is you know they never did and it just didn't happen when you weren't home.
  12. I was the only one in my store this morning and got most of the free items. The extra buck coupons did not print up for 2 things and I didn't notice until I got home so don't know if they can do anything for me now. The guy working this morning was talking about what a great deal that kodak camera was but I already have a camera and no one seems to need one this year.
  13. Wow, Black Friday sale starts on Thursday. I wasn't going to be near a CVS on Friday until late in the day and felt most of the items would be sold out but there is hope if I get organized and get to CVS bright and early on Thursday. For whatever reason my CVS does not do a good job of stocking the items that will be free with the ECB's and by the time I am out of church on a regular Sunday they have sold out. It is time to get the coupons out. Also, although this is not about Black Friday I got a coupon in the mail today for there Friends and Family sale, Dec 1, 30% off for there best customers.
  14. Thanks RealLivePrincess for the help. I have a return to make at Kohls so may go back on the Sunday after BF to do that and check out the clearance. Sounds like they will be doing Kohls cash for BF purchases, when will they be dated for use. Once again thanks for all your help.
  15. I have 2 different coupons right now for 15% off, one will expire on 11/30 and the other 12/15 and both have different codes so I can pick 2 different days to use these. I think when you use one the cashier marks the date on it and you can use the discount as often as you want on that day.
  16. I have some thoughts about shopping at Macys this year and thought I would pass them along. Macy bought out many stores in the past year or two and overexpanded in many areas. My Macys was a Filenes and people have not taken to the change well. Everytime I am in the store it is practically empty and I have spent very little there. There is a rumor that my Macys will be closing the end of January. I do have another Macys that is about a 45 minute drive but I don't get to that mall often. I would suggest before you buy a Macys gift card or even a gift that may need to be returned you give it some thought if your store closed early next year if the receiver of the gift would have a problem getting to another store. I know from reading other online sites that many people have wondered how long Macys would keep so many stores open because they felt many stores were not doing much business. My daughter just got a new job and I had thought about getting her a few nice outfits but since I have heard the rumor I think I will shop elsewhere.

    Dunkin Donuts?

If you do another drive by and can read please repost with the details.
  18. I was there today and the line was as long as the store is deep. The lady in front of me bought over $1000 and paid $600. The clearance items were included. In my stores it was mostly fall stock that was going to get clearanced out but maybe not at that percentage to start. They are doing a housecleaning and will be bringing in the new stock for Christmas after the sale is completed. My store only has one register and that caused the long line to cash out but everyone in line was friendly and having fun, all we needed were refreshments.

    Aldi

Thanks, my daughter was looking for a place to help with menu planning. She usually plans a months worth at a time and trys to get most of the shopping done at one time.
  20. Thanks they have the Skechers I have been looking for on sale and with the extra 30% off I will be ordering these for sure. Now I just have to find something to bring the order up a few dollars to $75 but that will be easy.
  21. Thanks for taking the time to post nexts weeks special for us. This way I can have my coupons ready to go and make my stop right after church and hopefully before the sell out of the EB products. Many times I get the last they have on the shelf, wish they would do a better job at ordering stock so they would have a good supply available.
  22. When I was shopping in Kohls last week I had every coupon know to man except for the Kohls 15% off. I asked the cashier if she could still give me the discount and she said as long as I used my Kohls card she could. If you don't have the coupon or it was marked for a pervious day it certainly would be worth asking for the discount.
  23. Thanks, time to go and pick up a new batch of tees for the summer. Every little bit helps.
  24. It can definitly become a habit because it is so easy and part of the sales pitch is you need to buy know, get to the phones fast because it will sell out and on certain things they do have sell outs. I have shopped with QVC, not as much lately as when I first started. I was buying to much on impulse because it would sell out and not be back for months but have learned to do better. If you do place an order and change your mind you can cancel the order if it hasn't shipped yet and that is what I have done lately. I have found some good deals and things I can't find locally but there is also many things you can buy at Walmarts for cheaper and no shipping.
  25. Thanks for posting about this deal. I got the Pantene but the store was just about out at lunch time today, also got some of the other advertised items that I could pair up with my coupons. They had marked the Christmas down to 75% off and got several boxes of chocolate covered cherries (57 cents) I will use at Valentines day. I cannot believe how much I got today for only $13 and then on my receipt I got $4.50 in CVS bucks to use on another trip.
