The fingerprint thing was done when they revamped the tickets. They never had an expiration date, now they do unless you pay the extra $$ for it. the fingerprint activated the ticket for the specific time period. ie the 5 day pass has to be used within 7 days.

I'm going there also. We go the same weekend every year. There is a resturant called Logans (Logansroadhouse.com) They have some of the best food around and are reasonable.. You have to try the rolls and potato soup.
