  1. Wow I always assumed Target was more expensive but I never really did the price comparison; I was honestly willing to pay a little more for better atmosphere and service, but I'm sure happy to hear about it. The Wal-Marts here are AWFUL in every way conceivable. Wal-Mart is less than 3 miles but I used to drive 15 miles to the SuperTarget, it was like going to a different, MUCH better world. They just opened a new Target 3 weeks ago about a quarter mile from the Wal-Mart and you can't find a parking space there now. I guess I'm not the only one fed up with Wal-Mart around here.
  2. At Office Depot they had poly 2-pocket no prongs $.20 each, with prongs $.25 each. Don't know how much of a bargain that is, but that's all I've seen.
  3. Well in my store (Westland Promenade) they had it in the copy paper section, and another stack right next to the customer service register.
  4. Wal-Mart was in the store, I haven't seen their ad. I know the other stores' items are listed in the weekly ads that my dear husband...ahem...THREW OUT! (Please save me from helpful people!).
  5. I've found the following deals at my local stores (Miami, FL): Wal-Mart Roseart 24 crayon $.12 Crayola 24 crayon $.20 Elmer's 2-pack glue sticks $.20 Crayola 10-count markers $.88 70-page spiral bound notebooks $.10? (or maybe $.15?) There were other items on sale but I didn't take advantage so don't know exactly. Toys-R-Us Buy a backpack for $12.99 or more get a free lunch bag of your choice up to $9.99 value Office Depot Rulers $.09 School Glue $.09 Filler paper 150 sheets $.15 Office Max Ream of copy paper $1.99 There are other deals but these are the ones I know off the top of my head.

    Target BF ad

I know where I will be lining up this year... LOL actually the same place I always line up! I LOVE Target!!
  9. And I thought that only happened to me! :)
  10. I just bought Sims 2 for PC for $8 plus change, plus I got 2 "classics" collections, Sega for PS2 and Intellivision/Atari for PC, came to $21 shipped. There were a lot of sports themed ones for PS2 $1.96 and up.
  11. HIDE THE GIFTS!! Then I usually relax and watch a holiday movie.
  12. Well I never camp out, I get up at about 5 am and am home usually by 11 am. I get there just as or right after the store opens, I usually find everything I want -1 or 2 items. It helps that I never go after high tech stuff :) I really just go out for the excitement, so I don't need to camp out. I did that one year with my SIL, she was pushed and tripped getting into Walmart and me, the rookie, had to use my shopping cart to barricade her away from the stampede, LOL. But it was fun. Lots of interesting things happen in those lines, people get VERY testy when they haven't had their beauty sleep - including me, who speaks very little Spanish but somehow found enough to translate in rather colorful language the discontent of the early birds to a woman trying to cut the line pretending to speak no English. But probably my scary expression made her listen more than my Spanish. So another reason I don't camp out!
  13. I used to belong to Costco, I switched to BJs about 5 or 6 years ago and never looked back. They accept manufacturer's coupons, their store hours are better (or were, I haven't been back to Costco), nicer selection of gourmet foods for parties and such, and when I made the switch some of the items I most often buy were cheaper at BJs. Also you can do your rebates on line now which is very helpful. My main reasons for switching were really the hours (Costco was always closed when I had a chance to go) and coupons. BJs is open I believe from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The membership price was comparable, I got to it from a deal at work and I got an extra 6 months free for giving up Costco, then once we didn't renew and they sent us a card for a free 1 year membership. We buy most meats there (varies but cheaper than our other stores, even on sale), diapers (I think $18 for 66 Pampers Easy Ups, plus I always use a coupon), milk (miami $2.39), deli meats ($5.99 for 2 pounds of honey ham), Jif peanut butter (I think $5 or $6 for 2 very large jars), canned corn, tuna, asparagus, chocolate chips, sometimes soups, cards, videos, etc. I don't know all the prices but I comparison shop and only buy things there that I know are a good price. Also I buy my gas from them which has varied between $0.03 to $.12/gallon cheaper than the rest in the area.
  14. I would have to say my best buys came in the 1st weeks of October, B1G1 on Barbies and Board games plus the coupon, plus "hidden values" on Barbies that I happened to pick up while in the stores. Personally I thought BF stunk this year, I went out anyway but not until 9:00 a.m. and I had no problems finding the things I did want. Of course I have little ones and no electronics needs right now. Also the JC Penney $10 off $10 last week was good, plus some of their B1G1 deals over the last few weeks helped me finish up. I also got great toy deals at Big Lots in early November, lots of toys and good prices. Slim pickings the last few weeks, though.
  15. Hi there! Any deals on: * polly pocket snow cool hotel * rescue pets * baby dolls * Lego star wars for Xbox Thanks so much, this will help me decide whether to buy now or later!
