  1. I have whirlpool set, front loader, electric dryer. Works great. I looked high and low at all the usual stores. I ended up at a local Mom and Pop appliance store (they've been around 60 years) free delivery, free install and free disposal of the old set. They were much cheaper than the big box stores. FYI I agree with the Sears comment. Speculation is they will all be gone before summer.

    Costco?

Hi I'm hoping to find a deal on a Costco membership? My DS just moved to NYC and there is literally a Costco next to his condo. I'm hoping to find a discount or membership with GC. Thanks. MaryEllen
  3. I got my ex sil (who hates everything) a season lottery ticket one year. You buy it and register it etc and they notify you if you win. She won $38,000 once and $170 once, $40 once and several free tickets. I believe I bought her Powerball.
  4. Just FYI if you plan on watching OTA Tv do not buy a Vizio as they do not have a built in TV tuner, you must buy an adapter in order to watch OTA Tv . I learned the hard way and according to the article I read other companies are opting out of these tuners as well. It is still possible to watch tv with a antenna but you must have an adaptor for it.
  5. Kindle Fires are rumored to be $22 this Black Friday. They are amazing little devices. She can download books or movies and use Them later without wifi. There are lots of free games and apps.I bet she would be over the moon with a Fire. There are also free apps that she can communicate with friends. I also like the parental controls so she can only access what her parents allow
  6. I just bought some amazing flannel sheets from QVC. Iirc it's under the brand name Malden Mills. They are seriously the best flannel sheets I've ever had. I paid $32 for Queen size and they are on 4 easy pay installments. They are not too heavy but not flimsy either. You can return up until 1/31/17 if you're not happy with them.
  7. There used to be a listing of fantastic recipes on here. It had all sorts of holiday ideas, crafts, foods, gift ideas etc. Does anyone know where that is located now? Thanks Maryellen
  8. Teacher family and friends that I know prefer gift cards. They don't need or want Apple themed items, candles or candy lol.
  9. I do monkey bread every Christmas morning. The only different thing I add is pistachios on top for crunch and flavor
  10. Christmas Eve Day, every year it's our tradition
  11. We open 1 gift each, read The Night Before Christmas and for food it's finger foods and deserts.
