  1. So far my Walmart order has arrived. Three packages sent by fedex and one handed over to the post office. ??? All three arrived within 10 minutes of each other. Best Buy videos are still processing so they are in never never land. One still shows in stock and the other is now on back order. Guess they won't ship just one. Aeropostale order shipping Target has shipped but FedEx won't post a delivery date. Bergners/Carson's/ Bon Ton , one item shipped and who knows about the other two. I'll feel lucky if the order is correct. They have a bad reputation with both me and other customers for shipping the wrong item. Even the UPC's don't match what is on the order form. UGH. lol
  2. While you could look at the Black Friday sale dvd's at Walmart and Target, neither store will ship them or let you pick up in store. That said, I ordered from Best Buy got a better price and free shipping. I ordered from Walmart on Tuesday and got some of their $5 dvd's which turns out, were more to my taste than most of their sale ones. My order has aready shipped and parts of it should start ariving on Friday. I only wish they would have offered free shipping instead of the minimum. Oh, Walmart now charges sales tax on shipping for those of us in Illinois, as does Amazon. Walmart also charged city tax but none of the other stores did even though they also have brick and mortor stores in town. I placed my order with Target at 6:15 am, after getting back from Meijer. Tried before I left but the sale prices still were not up. Target item has already shiped. Placed my order with BonTon/Carson's/Bergners on Wednesday morning. Not shipping yet and just waiting to see if they get it right this year. Two out of three years they have messed up a order with just two items. Waiting to see what happens this year and if I say enough and cut up my card. lol Target's sight is slow on a good day and fails to tell you if the item is out of stock, just gives you an error message. You can do better than that Target. Meijer ad continues to be misleading with the number of video titles in each price point, but better than last year. Also they had items pictured which were not the sale items. Example the women's sleep pants. While they had 4 half racks of them, only two of the half racks were on sale, yet the ones pictured in the ad were in the group not on sale. I did notice that they had far fewer customers than they did last year, even in electronics. Then again last year was a major mess especially when they gave out the electronic items at least an hour before the sale started. Poor management. Then again some years mine doesn't open until the sale starts and other years they never close. It's a guessing game from year to year.
  3. Jill, for Janome on sale, check Jo-Ann's online only and Hancock Fabric instore. Jo-Ann's doesn't carry them in the store.
  4. Janome is the brand that most shops use that isn't industrial. My daughter wanted one so I found one on sale at Hancock fabric. Tested it out and it worked great and easy to use. We have the 8050 model which you can use a push button start stop with a speed slider instead of using the pedal which also comes with. I've used it a few times and I really like it too. Some that only run with the pedal also have a speed slider so you can set how fast that way and not just foot pressure. They have a mini one on sale for $49.99. http://hancockfabrics.com/janome-sew-mini-124-sewing-machine-1196492.html Janome's are totally enclosed so you never have to oil them. Janome also makes a Hello Kitty model if that is her thing. Walmart has several different Janome including a couple of Hello Kitty. Jo-Ann's also has Janome but online only. Other sewing machines that are in my house include Sears Kenmore and Singer. I think both of you would be very happy with Janome.
  5. Mine starting giving out the electronic items 2 hours before the sale was to start last year. Mine has different lines in the electronics department for the different items. Some years my store doesn't close and other times it does. I remember, as does my daughter, the year we waiting in the car, while people were waiting outside the doors, for the doors to open. Other years when the sale started on Friday and no time was listed, I've gone at 11 pm Thursday, put the items in my cart and checked out at 12:05 with the sale prices.
  6. I have to say how disappointed I was with Meijer this year. I have done their black friday every year except one since my store opened. The tracfone LG optimus fuel was gone well before the start time. One long time employee told me last week that they had a lot of them in the back room. Today, I was told by managment (blue shirt) that they gave them out at 6 to the long line. Well I was there before 6 and there was no line. I was also told that they only had 8 and that the store opened at three am. Another manager told me that the store opened at midnight. Employees (red shirts) told me that it never closed. My store was 24 hour for several years and then started closing at midnight and opening at 6 am. So now they are back to 24 hours. A customer told me that they started handing out electronics before 5:30 am. I know that the TV's were gone before 6. They did bring the Xbox one out at 6. They legging that they had at buy 1 get 2 free, well no deal since they only had 1 pair of size small. The movies that are on are also an issue. When they clearly adverize the number of titles availabe at each price point, I expect to see somewhat close to that number. The $1.88 dvd's clearly states choose from 40 titles, yet there were 12 titles. Somehow two layers of Dirty Danceing does not equal 40 titles. So apparently this year you could go at any time, get the item and wait to check out at 6 am instead of their normal, the item will be out at that time. Shame on you Meijer. Oh, Walmart got my money. I ordered the phone and two DVD's online when I got home. While the phone was more, it came with a case and earbuds to make up the difference and I got free shipping.
  7. It appears to be this one http://www.target.com/p/casio-portable-keyboard-kit-ctk2080-black-ctk2080td/-/A-13726497#prodSlot=medium_1_3&term=casio+keyboard My daughter, a music major, got one at Target a couple of years ago and loved it. Polyphony was a must have.
