  1. Another Kmart in my city (Buffalo) is closing and I have been taking advantage of the so called BF prices going on now...IDK if the items I have purchased so far will be lower come BF, but I know this store will most likely not have as much items available...
  2. I have been shopping on TG @ Kmart for years...way before the other stores started to follow suit and they have every register open, but it's a crap shoot with them, they may not have the advertised product in the store at the time of the BF sale...while I miss the Friday BF morning frenzy I absolutely do not mind not having to stand outside for hours in the cold or rain, I live in Buffalo and if you don't know we can get some pretty brutal weather at anytime, lol...
  3. OK, so this has got to be one of the best contests so far this year!!!! Hope I'm one of the winners lol!!!! #seriously
  4. I like the idea of the drawstring backpacks!!!! I don't like to carry a big purse when BF shopping, but need something to keep all my ads, lists, snacks, water and whatever else in...
  5. GC to the major stores like Walmart and Target!!!!
  6. Burlington's usually just sends out an ad that lists items they sell and the price...they usually don't mark things down any lower or offer a percentage off. I got excited one year for some boots they were advertising only to find out they were the price they sold them for every day...they do not make my list of go-to stores on BF...
  7. My kids are 23, 22 (Oct 11) and 16...I still get unwritten lists or text messages with pictures...I try to get everything on their list as my money will allow as I do not buy them that much (other than school clothes for my 16 yo) throughout the year...
  8. He posted in his "Annual call for BF help" thread...he said he would be contacting everyone soon...
  9. Last year the first ad came out Oct 2...hopefully Brad will start the thread soon...
  10. This past weekend Bath and Body had wallflower refills on sale for $2.95 a piece and I bought several to give as Christmas gifts...this is the second item I've bought...slowly but surely, I've started...
  11. LOL...my younger son loves the Seahawks, so that's the one I got...I bought it on easy pay, 4 payments of like $25...should be here next week which also begins my official gift hiding season...
  12. We probably have another month or so before any ads start leaking...the big ads won't come out until early to mid November, unfortunately... I really get excited just thinking about the ads, so I start looking over the previous years ads in anticipation...
  13. I will be buying myself a laptop for Christmas this year. I usually shop for laptops on QVC. They are my lifesavers every Christmas as I am a single mom on a tight budget... That is, of course, if you don't mind receiving your purchased item within a few days, but paying for it with easy pay...which in my case is usually five to six monthly payments...
  14. Bought my first gift today from QVC...NFL 8-in-1 jacket
  15. I think i forgot to post this, but i received my SS package...since I like surprises & unwrapping gifts on Christmas morning it is under the tree staring @ me each time I walk by...lol
  16. Mailed my SS & OE packages today...hope both recipients like what I sent...

    Holiday Menu

I was trying to downsize Christmas dinner this year because I usually make as much as I do for Thanksgiving... I don't know if it will fly with the kids though, they are into traditions...
  18. Fotgot to post this, but I received my OE...so cute...pics later...
  19. Received my T-shirt yesterday!!!!
  20. I got my TeeSpring sweatshirt on 11/13/15....love it!!!! still waiting on my t-shirt though...
  21. In my honest opinion, the "adult" children are grown, so the fact that they get any gifts @ all should be appreciated!!!! Especially the one that has children of their own, because in my house they would get more than the parents. Now, don't get me wrong because I still buy my grown children gifts, but I concentrate more on my 15 y/o because he is still a child and most of the things he wants he can't buy on his own. I already made it very clear to my 22 & 21 y/o that they are grown w/ jobs so they can buy themselves just about anything they want, but I will still get them some gifts. Now if my funds allow then yes I will splurge on them and get my oldest the Wii U that he has been wanting (mind you he has a Xbox One on lay-away @ Walmart) and I may get my daughter a new 32" tv for her bedroom (for the apartment that she claims she will have by the new year). But to EXPECT more @ their ages is a bit selfish and spoiled if you ask me... I am sorry if I sound harsh, but you asked for honest. These grown kids have taken the meaning out of Christmas, it's about giving a gift to show love, it's not about how many gifts or how much each gift cost!!!! Who's keeping a running tally?!?!. Sorry, but this really upset me and I would have a few conversations with the older children (and you shouldn't have to) because @ their ages they should be more understanding. Ok, I am done ranting...lol...and to answer your question, no you are not being unreasonable!!!! I usually ask everyone what they want and try to fulfill their lists... I only did that with my youngest this year!!!!
  22. I'm still waiting on Kmart and Walmart's adds... I will probably order my big items from QVC as I do every year anyway (and can make smaller payments over 5-6 months), but I still like to go out and get deals on items like 30 pairs of holiday socks for a $1/ pair (Kmart) and useful items like towels or clothes for a reasonable price...so far I haven't seen much that I would be in a hurry to get, so I'm hoping Kmart/Walmart ads will bring some excitement for me...
  23. I was hoping they would have the bearpaw boots on sale again this year
  24. They have all the sames items on sale that they do every year...and i will be there getting my share...lol...
  25. Exactly how I felt!!!! The percentage off means you will have to go into the store just to find out how much it will be & while you're there maybe you will see something else you need...
