LOL...absolutely...
-
I haven't bought anything yet...hoping to start soon...
-
I actually have looked into this, but never followed through...my son has pretty much monopolized it now so I still may look into a new KB, again...and still get a new one for myself...
-
Good advice, thanks...I kid you not, my son is the exact same way with every laptop I have purchased...I guess I believed since he was "older" now he would be more careful...nope, not yet...lol... I will invest in a warranty this time as I am sure he will somehow find a way to sneak the new laptop into his room...

I bought a new laptop last year and within months my now 17 yo son messed it up (spilled something on the keyboard and it is awfully sticky) to the point that I stopped trying to use it...have to purchase a new one this BF because I'm still in school pursuing my MBA and welllll, kinda need a laptop...sigh...so this year it will be a need instead of a want...probably will go to QVC or HSN as usual...I only use my laptop to complete assignments for school, researching, maybe watching some DVDs and the occasional YouTube video...so I really don't need anything too fancy...

95 is a bit much...lol...I would gladly have taken 80-85 though...but now that pumpkin spice everything is out, bring on Fall...lol

Budgeting for Black Friday - something to start thinking about now

I absolutely love reading all the ways people save for BF...this is so inspiring... -
It's September 1st and we have had "Fall" weather just about the whole month of August where I live...definitely ready to start thinking about BF...
-
Maybe they'll revamp the ones that are still open since they have closed so many...one can only hope...

It's getting closer!!!! Cannot wait to see the shirt design this year and to start the contests...
-
My favorite Wal Mart always uses the lawn and garden as the layaway spot...and it usually isn't too bad putting the layaway on, it's waiting for them to go to the back of the store and find your layaway when you're picking it up that takes forever!!!!
-
Yup...not just that, but they are over priced on many items...granted I didn't shop there for most items, but it's sad because I could literally WALK up the street and around the corner to the nearest Kmart, but preferred driving to the nearest Target up the road or 15-20 mins to Wal Mart because it's more exciting...going to Kmart for me was a result of me being too lazy to drive any further...lol...their clothes as well as Sears were very out dated and unattractive for any adult woman under 80 years old...Thanksgiving/BF are my biggest shopping trips @ Kmart for the entire year and most of the items I get are the Christmas socks, pillows, jewelry, the washcloths they always have for $1.99 and other household items...if i get clothes it's children's clothing and toys...
-
I look forward to it every year!!!! Getting that "fever"
-
It really will be here before you know it...
-
You are absolutely right!!!! I don't remember the Kmarts in my area EVER being remodeled in the 20+ years I've lived in the area...meanwhile, several Wal Marts Supercenters have been built or been remodeled and of course Target cannot be outdone so they have kept up with the times... even the local Grocery stores have undergone some remodeling over the last few months, but Kmart, nope...still dark, dreary and outdated...yuk

Cannot. Wait... this post just really excited me

I just added gifts to my Gift List app on my phone yesterday...I pretty much know what I will be buying everyone this year, except for the Xbox 1 games my youngest son will want this year...

I love Shopkicks...I started using it last year...unfortunately, I only take advantage of the kicks for walking in certain stores because I usually don't have the time or energy to scan items for more kicks...my goal was to try to earn enough to get a $100 Walmart GC, but that is not happening w/o doing scans... -

Hooooooow?! How do you manage to save that much change?! My son always takes any change I try to save... I get paid on Wednesdays, so my "extra" check is actually in November... -

I actually opened a Holiday Account at my credit union in February this year ...now the funds won't be released to me until the last week of October or so, but I can take the money out when I want, with a penalty of like 2% (or something close to that) for early release...Unfortunately, I had some (minor) car repairs that needed to be done to pass inspection and I had to dip into those funds...I still have about half minus the penalty, but no where near what I wanted to have for BF...sigh...hopefully I will be able to replace what I took out and and then some before BF gets here... -

I absolutely wished I was able to start saving sooner!!!! I was just thinking of this exact topic last week...How can I begin saving now for November?! This is not something I am use to doing because I usually make sure all the bills are paid and then take a whole paycheck and use that... I was not able to do that last year so my shopping was limited...this year I am hoping to come up with a plan that will work for me and allow me to do the holiday food and gift shopping I would like to do... -
They are closing two Sears in my area (Cheektowaga and Amherst)... I need some new household items, but I know what a "liquidation" sale entails so by the time I want to start shopping for items they will probably be very well picked over...if only everyone had the patience I do to wait until they went to at least 75-80% off there would be a better selection of items to choose from...sigh...
