I too am guilty of buying DVDs last year and having them "watch" me from inside their wrapping as I walk by them and think to myself, I want/have to watch that movie soon...lol...and almost a year later and they still remain unwrapped...

When my kind were younger I would wrap the presents as soon as I brought them in the house, now that 2 are grown and out of the house and there is only my 17 yo son, my wrapping waits... but every year I tell myself I am going to wrap before Christmas eve so I am not up until 4:00 am...hasn't worked yet, but I am going to try again this year...lol...

I ordered more things from HSN, two sets of portable charges (8 total)...these will make great gifts as my children seem to always let their phones die...

my boyfriends birthday is on Christmas and he doesn't even want to discuss, see or hear anything Christmas related until after Thanksgiving

So I was on HSN last Friday looking @ their special value of the day, which was NFL sweatshirts and T-shirt combos, so I ordered three sets on flex-pay for Christmas gifts, about $37 a month which is feasible...welllll, I went to check out and they pre-approved me for a HSN cc ... so I ordered my daughter's birthday gift, which is today, her gift will be little late though...lol...I went back and ordered some more NFL gear as well, sigh...if you or someone in your family/friends are big sports fans, check out HSN they always have a nice assortment of items...I order NFL team items from them every Christmas for about the past 3-4 years...will probably wait until November to buy anything else...

This year I think I'm aiming for the weekend before Thanksgiving...I'm usually trying to recover from shopping the weekend after...and I would love to come home after all that shopping to a beautifully decorated tree...

I'm in the minority right along with you...I enjoy shopping on Thanksgiving as well

I have Netflix and every year I check through out the year to see if there are any good classic Christmas movies and there hasn't been in the past...they also change their content sometimes so movies that may have been on there a year or two ago could be gone now...

The funny thing is Kmart has been open on Thanksgiving for years before some of the bigger stores... I'm used to getting up @ 3 or 4 am to go to Kmart and shop, then swing by Walgreen's for the wrapping paper and that was it until the original BF madness began at 3-4 am the next morning all for the sake of saving a few (a lot) of pennies...lol...being able to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner and spread the ads out on my aunt's dinning table and read thru each ad for hours after dinner was relaxing...I guess it doesn't bother me as much now because my kids are older and they don't spend as much time with me on the holidays anymore so going out with a friend or family member after dinner is still quality time for me...but if they went back to the way it was, I would still enjoy it just as much as I do now...I've spoken with people in retail who have to work Thanksgiving and some love it because they don't have family to spend the day with or it's an excuse not to spend as much time with family...some actually love the hustle and bustle and chaos of the day...but we know there are still others who would rather be at home getting full and fat off of the turkey and all the trimmings...lol...

Also hoping to find two complete sets of good quality luggage for $100-$150...one for me and one to give as a gift...

I just checked out the 13 days of Halloween line-up ...so disappointing...

I agree...my youngest is now 17 and the only one still living at home...

$100 gift card is warranted anytime...especially after BF for me because chances are I already bought the majority of the gifts for everyone on my list so now I can buy for myself
