  1. This is precisely why I end up ordering more than I want then I get them and they are all so cute I end up keeping them!!!! ARGH! Darn you Kohl's Print all they way! LOL
  2. tracy, I fixed my mom her very own stocking one year and her reaction was priceless! I should do that again.
  3. Oh lord. I have started repeating to myself that I do not need another throw.
  4. Thanks! I certainly don't need another monthly bill.
  5. I'm considering a video doorbell or wireless camera for my front door. In this day and age I hate not having a peephole in my door. I need to do some research because I need it to be simple to install and simple to use. I'm not the most handy gal around but I do have tools. LOL.
  6. Christmas with the Kranks, Christmas Vacation, Elf, 4 Christmases, Jim Carrey's The Grinch. I think it's time to dig them out of the back of the Entertainment Center cabinet!
  7. With this, it's officially BF season in my book!
  8. Opening one gift (always PJ's) on Christmas Eve at the grandparents' house and all the cousings posing for a pic in front of the tree with out new PJ's on. Never failed that one of us was crying (or angry the older we got) in the picture! LOL Making homemade sugar cookies and decorating them. We still make the cookies but no longer decorate them. We just ice them as we eat them straight from the tub of icing.
  9. Wah ha ha!!!!! Well I guess that explains my love for all thing Star Wars (at the least the original 3) since I was addicted to soap operas as a kid/teen, Days of Our Lives being #1 on my list. I wanted to marry Bo Brady. Victor Kiriakis in his best Vader voice...….."Bo, I am your father"
  10. 1. My most wanted gift this year was going to be the Echo Spot but I didn't want to wait that long to get it so I bought one on Prime Day. I love it more than my Dots and use it as my alarm clock. Love the "start my day" feature. 2. The current #1 wish list item is now a new nook Glowlight. My current nook is old and doesn't have a built in reading light so it's way past time for an upgrade. I'm an avid reader and use my nook just as much as reading an actual book. So I'm asking for that combined with a B&N gift card to buy books. 3. Two years ago I asked for some wireless earbuds. Never had much of a need for them but now since upgrading my iPhone I no longer have a earbud jack so they will finally be a necessity. Along the same lines, we gave my elderly father some wireless over-the-ear headphones so he could watch videos on YouTube without disturbing the entire house.
  11. OK. I must know where he got these!!! I need these in my life! I tried to find the Harry Potter ones last year at Target and could never find them or order them.
  12. I have a lot of brainstorming to do as I have no clue for gifts this year! It's starting to make me nervous too because by now I usually at least have ideas for everyone....
  13. The only place I pay via store app is at Target. It's so easy with the RedCard because mine is a debit attached to my checking account. One scan of one barcode on the Target app does any coupons you added to your wallet, any Cartwheel discounts and your RedCard payment. I'll never do this at Walmart because I'm always paying a different way there.
  14. 100% agree with all of this! I don't want to use a credit card just to grocery shop every time. I do use my Walmart credit card when I use Grocery Pickup though because they do give you a 3% statement credit when you do, or at least they used to. I hate the app too. Half the time my receipts wont scan. I've just about stopped using Savings Catcher anyway because I rarely get anything back anymore.
  15. Right?! I have an extra day off from work this week, it’s not so hot today so I’m in the mood for fall decorations! Happening tomorrow! I’m so excited to see all the sub forums and contests again!
  16. Ha! I love seeing those shipping containers! My Dad was a trucker and retired from Walmart Distribution many years ago but he still tells stories of hauling all the BF merchandise around the area. I think he secretly loved it though. LOL
  17. I love the frenzy. I don’t need much this year or so I say! I said the same thing last year too and went waaaay over budget and loved every minute of it. I blame my sister having to work on the actual Black Friday so I spent thanksgiving with her and I blew up the town going to stores I normally don’t have access to during that weekend.
  18. I love those emails! My birthday is in December so double love them!
  19. September.......pumpkin spice is taking over the world already. Not that I care mind you. I’m sick of the hot weather and even sicker of my summer clothes. College football starts today in these parts and my beloved Razorbacks are destined for failure again this season. Except for baseball, track&field and sometimes gymnastics it’s heartbreaking to be a Hog sports fan. Still, I carry on “woo pig sooie-ing. LOL
  20. I hear ya! I would love to have it done but I'm petrified of the actual procedure. My sister had it done 10 years ago and has never looked back but I can't seem to work up enough nerve, even though my vision is HORRIBLE. She says she remembers seeing a bright red light then everything went black and I'm like "ok, that'll do. I'm good". LOL Plus I don't have an extra couple of $grand laying around to spend.
  21. I did the same at Target for the holiday toy donation boxes. Need to check out Walmart too I guess. The high school that I attended had one building aptly named Building 1 that was not air conditioned. Back in the 80's in that school district there was a "no shorts allowed" policy for the classroom.....PE being the exception. I live in the South. Yep...….I died during the beginning of school because we started in August. We got out in late May unless we had to make up snow days.
  22. So, I decided to upgrade my iPhone today at Sam's with their One-day sale gift card offer. Let me tell you what, there is no way on god's green earth you could get me to upgrade on Black Friday or on their one-day sale they have in mid-November. Talk about an extreme exercise in patience. The couple in front of me to make an appointment wanted two phones, one for each kid. Unfortunately for everyone in line, my Sam's did not have the color and configuration one kid wanted. They freaking nearly argued with the girl making the appointments, like it was her fault they didn't have a Silver in the 8+. Dude, it's a phone. Either you're in or you're out. They took at least 20 minutes to figure out what they wanted to do and make the stupid appointent. My turn comes up and I'm hoping they have the 8 64 GB in gold. If not I wasn't going to upgrade and out the door I would go peacefully. Yay for me....they did and only one! So, i stupidly make my appointment for 9 AM, right after the previous problem-causing couple. BIG MISTAKE! I return at 0840 AM to get in line and of course that couple was there, still undecided on what configurations of stupid phones to get for their stupid kids (not meant to offend but to vent LOL). Sam's only had two people doing the phone upgrades and one making the appointments and taking the phone orders which in reality should have been enough because the mobile area wasn't overly crowded. That poor poor soul who had to deal with this couple deserves overtime pay todayl The wife kept trying to find the phone they wanted online on her phone and trying to upgrade on her phone and all kinds of nonsense. The husband kept wandering off talking on his phone. They kept haggling over the fact that the 256 GB costs more than the 64 GB. Naturally Sam's had the 256 GB in silver, which they didn't wasn't to seem to pay extra for. Meanwhile I'm in line with the other guy who is moving along with no issues. In fact he finished the customer in process when I returned, did another customer and did most of my upgrade all the while this couple is still not bailing or getting whatever d**n phones Sam's has. I swear to god it was amazing at the nonsense. The husband finally said they would come back at 2 pm when they were scheduled for their tire appointment. I don't know if they left with only one phone or two. Honest to god when I heard him say that I laughed out loud......couldn't help it. Got a few looks from other customers too. I probably could have gotten a better gift card deal if I had waited until the newer phones come out but I don't ever get the newest when they are released, I'm always a model behind and I don't mind. I'm happy to have the $200 gift card and a new phone and I didn't cause my guy any trouble at all. Those of you who upgrade on or around BF, especially for your kiddos.....much kudos to you.
