Happy New Year everyone! Watching the Rose Bowl Parade, fireplace on and sipping hot cocoa.

We played ours today and had a great time. I used strips and wound them in different directions and included some wrapping paper in the layers. I spray painted a boot box lid red and lined it with green fabric for the dice. It was easy to pass and nice to throw in. I think if we had our kids and grandkids doing it, we would have used gloves or oven mitts, but I wanted my mom to be able to do it. Our center gift was cash in a plastic Easter egg.

Getting ready for #1 of 3 Christmas gatherings. Smoked a ham, baked a ham, 2 cheesecakes (in my new instant pot [emoji4]), pumpkin pie to bake in the morning. Hope everyone has a Very Merry Christmas.

Any suggestions after having done it? [emoji3526] We are doing our first one Christmas Eve. So far, I've gotten about 50 items together, still have to get a couple of scratch off lottery tickets and decide what the main prize will be. We will have 7 or 8 doing it.

I have a Bella 2.2 lb. 1500 watt from Kohl's My mom needed a small one and I got her a Dash 1.2 qt. 900 watt from Target. It doesn't have enough power for me, but for her (1 person/90 years old/small portions), it's fine.

LOL I'm a rule breaker. Crispy and buttery on the outside and ooey gooey cheesy on the inside. Ooohhh ahhhh

I think the batter would fall off of the fish before it had time to set. Breaded items (I've tried chicken) spritzed with a bit of oil would work.
