  1. I'm trying to find a Steelers bumble bee jersey...the number of counterfeit items on Amazon is amazing. I'm surprised the NFL hasn't cracked down on them.
  2. I haven't seen an ad yet this year for Tractor Supply Company. They are usually one of the first - I get my full winter's supply of black oil sunflower seed most years on Black Friday. Also IKEA, but I think they might just be doing the $25 of $150 promotion.
  3. Has anyone else found it increasingly difficult to shop at Amazon, due to the flood of cheap/discounted imported things? Many of them seem to get prominent placement, yet once you look at them and the reviews it's SO hard to figure out if something is good, or if it's just rubbish. Their new policy on reviews in exchange for free products has helped some, but not a lot.
  4. Well, I was going to put down some appliances from Home Depot, but I've been saying I don't want to replace any of my current ones until my kitchen is redone. So, I guess it would have to be a TV. Since price is no object, to a point, I'd pick the 55" Sony 4K UHD from Best Buy (XBR-55X850D), for $899.99. I can't fit any bigger than that on my wall. And with the remaining money I'd have a field day at Half Price Books.
  5. Anyone seeing delays in receiving their items from Microsoft? I have received my console, but the games I purchased two days later are still showing as processing. Two phone calls to Microsoft yielded someone I couldn't understand, and disconnections.
  6. I went to Trader Joe's at 8am. Was almost empty. But got a lot of yummy munch stuff for a gift bag for my mom, and a few stocking stuffers for my son. Then to TSC for the black oil sunflower seed. Have to keep the squirrels fed and the dog entertained. Girl said it had been busy but I thought it was pretty quiet. Then to Boscov's. Parked right in front. Picked up two work dresses for me, and a wallet/watch for mini-me. Then to the local flooring store to get samples for my bathroom reno. Found one I like - YAY! Then 5 Below and PetSmart. Again parked right in front. No busier than an average Saturday, maybe even a little less busy. I was home by 10:30. And that's considering the Trader Joe's is 25 miles away.
  7. Here's some of the information on the backwards compatibility: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/backward-compatibility
  8. Just drove by the Target on my way to Bob Evans for dinner (cheaper to eat out than cook for one!), and there is no one in line yet.
  9. YES! That was the best thing about it. Really was not fond of having to get a game he'd never play - seemed like everywhere just wanted to clear out their old 500gb models.
  10. DONE! And I am very happy. Microsoft store: 1TB Tomb Raider edition Xbox One: $349.99 $60 Microsoft card: Free Forza Horizon 2: Free Forza Limited Edition controller: $39.99 The selection of "free games" was sucky, only 4 of them. I figure this will give him time to put Forza 6 on his birthday list (March). The selection of discounted controllers was quite impressive. So I paid $50 more than the Target price, but got the 1TB; still got a $60 gift card, and a comparable price on the controller. And it didn't have to be bundled with games we didn't want. Woot!
  11. I bought those batteries last year and they were crap. Didn't last nearly as long as the ones I usually use - which are from BJ's.
  12. Was just in BJ's this morning picking up the 3-pack of SkullCandy earbuds (great deal, BTW, 3 for $24.99). Anyway, they had the Disney Infinity 2.0 packs (Marvel Superheroes), PS3 only, for $9.99. That's with 3 figures. Didn't know if anyone would be interested.
  13. I just looked and they don't even have them now. Perhaps locked down until later in the week? Heck, at this rate I may just buy direct from Microsoft.
  14. Okay, so stupid question time. 15% off site wide. No exclusions in the fine print? Is this stackable with things already on sale? It sounds like it is, but I want to make sure. Because honestly this makes going out on Thursday for the Xbox One look less and less appealing.
  15. No luck for me. The Xbox One controller isn't even on the website anymore (it was last week), and the watch I was looking at for my son is cheaper on Amazon. With everyone here talking towels I took a look, but I'm picky about towels and most have horrible reviews.
  16. Seriously. This could totally backfire on Home Depot, as people are making their lists and already shopping.
  17. I have not, but I will go in this weekend and see if I can talk to them again. Honestly I hope you can get it online...I really don't want to be there at 6pm on Thursday. (Not because I want to leave my family - it's just me and my dog for the holiday, but I HATE crowds with a passion!)
  18. eBay right now, $34.50: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Microsoft-Xbox-LIVE-12-Month-Gold-Membership-for-Xbox-360-XBOX-ONE/141607184417?hash=item20f8722821
  19. So apparently no one wanted to release Home Depot's ad.
  20. I was at my Target today and talking with the guys in the electronics department. (Remember the BF video from last year with the guy doing the "This...is...TARGET" impression of this is Sparta? Yea, that's my Target and that's the guy I was talking to. ) Anyway, he was saying that certain Target's were toying with the idea of upping the gift card with purchase on the Xbox One to $100!!! THAT would be awesome. So definitely keep an eye out/talk to your local store.
  21. Waiting on Home Depot and Lowes. Finishing my bathroom remodel is on this winter's list.
  22. I think the Target ad is GREAT for Xbox deals. Yes, $299 is the same as many other places, BUT the $60 gift card is basically a free game. Plus the 5% off. Plus there are two other games that he wants that come with a $15 gift card EACH.
  23. Be careful with this - Microsoft has been VERY misleading with this feature/option. All the games have to be programmed to be backwards compatible. It's not a "flip a switch" and they all work. My ex-husband has actually been one of the volunteer coders working on the project. Here's an article on the latest list of titles that should work. Please note there are not any LEGO titles on there. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/xbox-one-backwards-compatibility-full-list-xbox-360-games-leaked-1527479
  24. My son's stocking is huge (which was unintentional, that's just the way it was made. By me.) so I can actually fit some big stuff in it. Always a satsuma, (it's a Doctor Who joke for us), candy, gum, books, playing cards, little mind-bender puzzles. This year I've been saving the $5 gift cards they give as freebies at Target, and whenever someone at work has given me a gift card as thanks I've saved that too.
  25. Is a 1TB Xbox one really necessary? We currently have a 320gb Xbox 360, less than 100gb is used. Are the games that much bigger on the One? It seems like many of the deals are for the 500gb version.
