What is the best deal on a cookware set on Black Friday?
catholicbride11 replied to doreen725's topic in 2012
Can you give us a price range? That will help narrow it down -
I'm getting a new iPhone today and I figure with BF on the horizon someplace might have cases/covers on sale- has anyone noticed them in any of the ads? I've poured through all the ads previously, but this was before I knew I was getting an iPhone so they weren't exactly not my radar, haha.

No because most places don't allow employees to accept gifts or tips. The best gift is to find a manager and let them know what a great job the employee is doing.

I have what I am sure is a stupid question, but it has to be asked. So the sale starts at midnight- do you have to wait until the sale hits to start adding things to your cart? Or can I say be up at 11pm, add everything I want to my cart and then wait for midnight to hit, refresh my cart and check out? I've shopped online before, but never right as the sale hits so I am unsure how that works,

Do you need any kind of code for the flash sale?

Our town has a 24 hour WalMart so no camping out, but people do get there very early. I show up 4-5 hours early and I am never the only one hanging around their top item. No such thing as getting there too early, especially not this year with the sale starting at 8pm. I'm tacking more time onto my usual plan just to make up for the crowd of inexperienced people who no doubt will be there due to a start time that means people have to put zero effort into showing up. I short no people don't camp for days, but people DO show up early and they ARE ruthless and rude so come prepared. I could have sworn I read somewhere that the non 24 hour WalMarts were going to let people in instead of waiting outside the doors to avoid the rush of people and the subsequent deaths it seems to cause?

If it isn't on the map ( at my store at least) you have to go hunting for the item. There are always plenty of things not on the map and you are on your own when it comes to finding it. That's where the importance of going hours early to at least scout comes into play. Even if you don't plan to stand in line for hours, at least make a quick trip to your store and walk around the store to see what is where. You will be glad you did because maps aren't always right, not everything is on the map and not even managers can always tell you where each specific item is.

Finding Thanksgiving Day Newspaper aka Black Friday Ads
catholicbride11 replied to totallyBF's topic in 2012
All the corner stores are always out, but Walgreens usually has them. Any place that doesn't have people coming in for coffee and/or breakfast items usually has them hanging -

The picture just posted above should print for you. Come in with that and any other codes pulled up on your phone and/or written down. -

Got mine finally, ready to shop now! -
That is just plain craziness.

I didn't know you could stack coupons at Children's Place, woo hoo! Does anyone recall what time they tend to open?
-
I've never shopped Old Navy for Black Friday- is it wise to show up to get a few things you want, but don't really need or not worth the time if you plan on making it your very last stop? Of course I know every store is different, just trying to get a feel for how ON does BF.
-
Um Holy awesome, now I don't even have to step foot into the madhouse and can focus on hitting other stores. Hooray!

Still waiting here too! -
Me, but just barely so no big deal. I shop pregnant or not, I was 25 weeks with twins in 2011 and you bet I was still out there ready to get some deals To me it is no different, but I just made sure to keep hydrated and stay away from the towel crazies at WalMart.

The entire JCP ad. $2 off does not a Black Friday sale make! -
So are you getting your game plan together?
catholicbride11 replied to jakesmommy403's topic in 2012
I'm trying to get it all together. I have my list typed up and ready to go although I know I will add and take things off up until the day before. Waiting to see when stores will be starting sales online before I can finalize my plans though. That is pretty much all I am waiting for now. -
Man, I am disappointed. I got a ton of stuff there last year and I saw not one smoking good deal this year. Bummer.
-
Hoping for a good ad, I got a ton there last year- all online with no problems.
-
I've never been before, but I might brave it this year if the ad and times are good.
-
Not impressed. I will still go and pick up a few toys if they are still available, but Wal-Mart will be my first stop.
-
If you really REALLY want something I'd say at least 3-4 hours ahead of time. I live in a town of about 11,000 people and still have to show up that early if there is something I am determined to get. I'm not sure how hot of an item the Nabi is, but it is the best price in all the ads so far so I'd play it safe and show up early. I think the ads say tickets are given 2 hours in advance, but every Wal-Mart does their own thing so there is really no telling.
