  1. I also notice it depends on competition. Here in the small town I live in the Wal-Mart have very little competition (no other major chain store) are higher than in a larger town where there is more competition. I think that is the major factor on their pricing. Things like dvds, cds, books, and electronics are always higher here than in the larger stores. New released dvds here always sales price is around $19 but in the larger city they have to match Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, etc. they are usually $2 to $5 cheaper.
  2. I got a lexmark all in one printer. It copies, prints, scans, and faxes (have to have phone connection can't use with cable modems). What I like about the one I have that it takes only one ink cartridge. That's the worst part about printers, some of the ink cartridges are expensive. Compare ink cartridges before you buy to see what they cost. Sometimes it is cheaper to but a new printer than the ink cartridges. Here is one at Walmart. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5280837
  3. I've used PayPal for a long time with no problem. Just don't ever link from an email to the PayPal website even if it looks like something from PayPal wanting you to update your account. It may be someone phishing for your information and you may end up with a big charge on your credit card.
  4. Tigerdirect.com still has that deal going. Here it is: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1532817&sku=TC3G-5012
  5. I think you are talking about a digital voice recorder. You can find them on eBay, buy.com, and amazon. A lot of MP3 players have built in voice recorders on them also. The more memory on the recorder the longer you can record. I bought a MP3 player from Tigerdirect.com around Christmas and it had a digital recorder with. They had a deal on them at that time. It was a 1 GB mp3 player with a digital recorder built in it. After rebates the cost wa around $9.95 after rebates plus shipping. It was originally $49.95. If you do a little shopping around you can come up with some deals.
  6. I got mine at Walmart too. The spice and salt that comes with it makes delicious jerky.
  7. I hate rebates too. They seem to take so long to get back. I try to avoid them unless it is a real good deal. I bought a laptop from circuit city last year and I had to mail out 3 different rebate forms to different places and then wait for several weeks to get the rebate checks back.
  8. Target has a Uniden 4 hand set phone system with answering machine for $79.98 in their sales paper today. You may check on Target.com.
  9. Walmart also had a hand cranked led flashlight for less than eight dollars. It was in the auto department. It had three or four different settings one was that it blinked. I bought one for a gift at our office party.
  10. Thank you all at Gottadeal.com. I have found a lot of deals and freebies this year via this site. I'll be here through out 2007 looking for more good deals and freebies. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year to all.
  11. This is the one I have. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4922347
  12. Here is a link for an Lexmark all in one printer. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?dest=9999999997&product_id=5280837&sourceid=1500000000000002029420
  13. I have a Lexmark all-in-one printer. I like it. It may not be the best quality printer but no more than I print it works for me. It just uses one ink cartridge. I was using a HP photosmart printer but the ink cartridges were expensive. The cartridges for the HP were around $30 for black and around $40 for color. The Lexmark's ink cartridge is around $20. I don't do a lot of printing. I send my digital pictures I want to printed to Wal-Mart via the internet. It's cheaper to have Wal-Mart print them then print them on a printer. I got the Lexmark free when I purchased my laptop. You can find them at Wal-Mart cheap. I think the Lexmark all-in-one printer is less than $100. It faxes, copies, and prints.
  14. My wife and I love Big Lots. I belong to their Buzz Club and receive their new ads via e-mail so I know what new deals they are offering.
  15. Are these deals going to be good also online?
  16. Big lots have Maxwell AA batteries for 48 for $11 - $5 rebate making $6 for 48 AA batteries.
  17. I bought the $10 digital wireless weather station. It' pretty neat not having to go outside to see the outside temperature. It displays the outside temperature (it has a wireless outside sensor that relays the temperature to the inside display), inside temperature, and digital clock with alarm. It's nice for the price.
  18. I was looking for a good deal on a blood pressure monitor. Any help will be appreciated. thanks.
  19. I went for the HP computer at officemax for $799. I applied for their credit card which had free interest until 2008 and also took 10% off of the price making the total price $719 plus tax. Very happy. It beat all of the deals I tried to configure at Dell by hundreds of dollars with the same features.
  20. Has anyone at the computer office max is offering HP desktop for $799. 19 inch monitor, amd athlon 64x2 dual core processor, 2 gb ddr2 memory, 300 gb hard drive. What do you think of this deal?
  21. Blockbuster has started me out with a free dvd rental a week. This is a pretty good deal. 52 free movies yearly, if you pay an average of $3.00 each to rent them that would be a savings of $156 a year. I happy with how I am receivng the movies from Blockbuster. Shipping through mail is going to cause delays in receiving movies, etc. I don't expect a one day turn around but if they make each Blockbuster store a shipping place then the turn around could be quicker. I read that this may happen.
  22. I received my e-coupons for free rentals at Blockbuster. I just received two for the month. I seen all day prior to the SuperBowl that Blockbuster was given e-coupons weekly for a free rental. That is free 52 movies as they say in their ad versus 24 (2 per month). I emailed Blockbuster about this and will let you know what they tell me.
  23. Has anybody used Intelliflix or any other on line dvd rental services. I was reading about Intelliflix and you can pay a one time annual fee which average out to $14.95 monthly for 3 movies out at a time. I've using Blockbuster now but the turn around is slow. I thought about signing up on Netflix but I found out the closest distribution center was Duluth GA. I live in east Tennessee close to the Kentucky/Tennessee border at least Blockbuster's distribution center is closer to me at Louisville, Kentucky. I read, somewhere on-line, that Blockbuster's local stores may be used as distribution centers and this may speed up the turn around for movies. I do like the 2 free coupons per month for movies, it helps to a little degree to get more movies per month.
  24. I received one from Lemarx for the printer I got with the Laptop deal at Circuit City, I've yet to receive the one for the router, that came with the same deal. I also haven't received a rebate from Best Buy for the surround system I bought, I received an email from Best Buy stating it was on the way that has been two weeks ago and have not receive it as of yet.
