  1. That would be my guess. It was either her own number, or one of a friend. That's just sad.
  2. I go every year. I've been first in line for the past 3 years, even when I wasn't there for anything specific. I'll never be first in line on BF (because I'm at the WM Supercenter already in the store), so I'll settle for it on T-Day! It really gets me in the "zone" for the big race on BF.
  3. Thanks for posting this! We visited DG tonight because of this thread. My DG was out of the sunglasses, but we did get many stocking stuffers and decor for my daughters' rooms. The toy gardening tools were $.01 and the lady didn't even blink when she rang them up. We spent $20 and had 6 bags full!
  4. Dh and I go in one car and meet up with my mom and 2 sisters at WM around 4am. We get all we can from other ads for PMing, while dh & youngest sis wait at the DBs we want. Dh is 6'4 and the size of a pro-linebacker so he usually gets whatever we need, lol. After WM, we head to seperate stores w/ combined lists, then meet back up at Gordman's or Target. Have to dump mom after WM or we'd never get out of there, lol!
  5. You Hinky Man, pick me and I'll wear my GD shirt while I Monkeyshine you in the most Luxurious way! ...and I pinky swear to wear the shirt.
  6. I need THREE! I swear I saw a DS Lite for $99 somewhere. It was only for blue though. Does anyone else recall that or am I going nuts? I haven't even seen a blue one EVER other than this. Maybe I was dreaming...
  7. If they don't do DBs, I'll still shop at WM, I just won't be there at 4am. I'll hit the stores that are doing DBs and stop by WM on my way home for the *gag gag* "Roll Back this price $.07 and make people think they're saving big!" items. Don't get me wrong, I love my WMSC and do probably 75% of my shopping there, but I won't be beating any doors down on the craziest day of the year to save a couple of bucks off my entire shopping cart.
  8. Ooo, that would be cool. Too bad they don't come pre-charged. You could pop in a dvd/card and record your BF experience, first hand... It would be like "Blair Witch", only with scary, high-interest credit cards and crazed lunatic shoppers.
  9. We have a 24hr WM as well. Last year hubby and I were there by 3am and the other 3 members of our shopping team showed up around 4:30. Everyone got what they needed and the women all loved my husband because he could reach the top of the Care Bear and Cabbage Patch pallets. He was tossing CBs and newborns left and right (after we got what we wanted). It was nearly impossible to get OUT of the hoards of people trying to get up to the pallets. He figured the only way out was to try to thin the crowd a little by flinging what they were after straight to them, lol.
  10. Another tip... if it's an extra person (not a designated shopper) who is making the run back to the car, have them come back into the store and immediately get into line. Depending on how many items you are purchasing, they could be at the front of the checkout line right when you're ready. Of course, I wouldn't try to fight my way through a line with a heaping shopping cart... you could end up in traction.
  11. We usually have a team plan with about 6 people, 2 per team w/ plans to visit 2-3 stores each. We all meet up around 11am to disburse the goodies we've picked up for one another and write checks. :) It's a pretty intense operation (they call me the shopping nazi), but everyone gets what they wanted and we're finished fairly early. This year I'm adding hubby to the group. He'll be going with me, provided he sticks with the plan (otherwise, he may be hailing a cab from the Target parking lot). He's 6'4 and I need him to reach tall shelves, lol! Amy
  12. No one is coming to our house this year! We're going to my parents' house though. :) I did Thanksgiving at our house a couple of years ago with EVERYone and it was a mad house! I'm perfectly happy to transport my broccoli cheese casserole and fudge. :)
  13. It was KMart, and yes, Black Friday ONLY! Blah!
  14. KMart gave out GCs last year. The amount was revealed at checkout. I think they ranged from $1-$500. I was #2 in the door and my GC was for $5. Unfortunately I was in such a rush to head to Wal-Mart that I forgot to use mine, LOL. Amy
