November 12th...... Always the weekend after my son's birthday..... When he was young he would always ask when Christmas was and I would tell him that it was after his birthday. Our local K-mart is closing on Dec.3

Our local mall is open but not really....lol None of the food court is open .. Just the few stores that open. It is kind of eerie.. The light are low and it just feels like they unlocked the doors and went home and got back in bed.

Yeah I agree. If it wasn't Nintendo it would be totally off my list. I am hoping that they have made a awesome product and it will be the perfect gift.

I save all of my loose change in buckets all year. That is usually around $200 and I don't miss it at all. Around September I quit using $1 bills. Saving all of them. Which is around another $100 dollars. My husband has a certain account that when he does work for them their payment is deposited in a seperate account for Black Friday.

I carry mostly cash. I know safety is always a factor but cash is just simpler in my opinion. I have had so many bad experiences with cards. Machine readers not working.. Banks failing ... Etc. I carry a set limit of cash and a smaller amount to access with a card for quicker lines.

One of the Kindle e readers..... My book collection is getting way out of control. I think it is finally time to go digital.

Just curious what everyone's thoughts are about this "new" system.... I worry that it is going to be like the cheesy plug and play systems that appeared in droves a few years back. I am hoping for it to be a legit system like the one of old with the games all stored within the unit.

I really really need a new mouse pad. The old gotta deal one that I have is very very rough around the edges. So I vote for mouse pads.

I think they will hold the ads until the election is deceided. I think this election is so different from all the others with amount of attention and craziness that there is no way to really compare it to other election days.

oh no!! I was looking forward to this as well... I see it every year but have been unable to participate. This year I was going to join. I guess we could still do the Christmas card exchange. Someone could just start a thread where anyone who wanted to participate could just give there address or others to send. it may not be as organized but still should work.

Wow that is great ... Maybe the pilot program will work out well and it will return to all stores. Self Checkouts were taken out of our local Wal-Mart but are being reinstalled now. So maybe there is hope
