  1. I received my SS gifts last week. Sorry for not posting sooner. I love all of my gifts and am very thankful to my SS for including my pup and kitties in my gifts!
  2. If she doesn't need material items, maybe get her an experience gift. Concert tickets, a mini weekend mom and me getaway, mani or pedi gift certificate, etc.
  3. She already does cake decorating, so unfortunately that wouldn't work. lol She really is difficult to buy for. Thank you for the suggestion though, I am always happy to get ideas for gifts!
  4. My MIL is difficult to buy for because she is not into fashion, makeup, perfumes, collectibles and cannot travel to go to events because she is a caretaker to her sister. I hate to buy her the same things every year or buy her one of her vices (lotto or smoking, yuck.). I'm thinking about new kitchen items for her, as she does like to cook and bake. DH & I struggle every birthday and Christmas buying for her though.
  5. Frosty Friends from Hallmark, every year since I was a child. Once i buy it, it feels like the holidays can begin.
  6. I purchased one through a school fundraiser that a family friends child was doing. It has lasted me more than 5 years (it was very thick) and I wish I had bought more than one as I will need another one soon.
  7. My new DH wants a new iphone and Star Wars stuff of course, my nephews are asking for video games and specific RC cars and it would be great to find a deal on a new DSLR that DH could buy for me.
  8. Does anyone know if Duluth does a BF sale or cyber monday sale? Most of the gifts for my cousin's fiance will be coming from there and I'm wondering if it is better to purchase now or if they have deals on BF/CM. Thanks for any info in advance!
  9. My SS box came in today and all I can say is THANK YOU!!! You really went above and beyond and sent me things that I love. From the Philly Flyers tote, umbrella and earbuds to the Glinda tin sign, it is all amazing! Here is a photo of most of the gifts in the package. The Glinda sign was already hung on the wall by this time. lol There was also socks included, comfy and classic designs. http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3817/11334719295_c992bc2c3e.jpgSS by KatyLovesHockey, on Flickr I mistakenly thought my package from my OE secret santa was my SS. Makes sense, since that package was mostly ornaments.
  10. I received my SS gift on Saturday and opened it. I will post a picture later, but wanted to thank my SS for the lovely ornaments and Christmas CD set. I needed to get new Christmas music, so it worked out wonderfully!
  11. Reading, PA. They are an ECHL team. They do a lot of theme jerseys throughout the year, this one is actually pretty cool compared to some other teams Christmas jerseys.
  12. Gelish is another one. Sally Beauty carries it. They have a good variety of colors to choose from and are on sale BF there.
  13. Western MA stores are opening at 1AM. Your local store should have their opening time posted as you walk in.
  14. While most stores are 1am in MA, check with the local store, as local jurisdiction can set the store hours as well. Some Walmart's open at 1, while some open at 4am over the past couple years.
  15. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/275845545897657907/ I think it is an adorable idea for the kids.
  16. Stockings are always an orange in the bottom, candy (mostly snickers and the mini pb cups since they are a family fav) and a few small items such as cosmetics for the females and if there are tickets or gift cards, they will end up in there so they are not lost in the gift pile under the tree. We do not usually do anything too expensive for stockings, it has always been a sort of bonus gift.
  17. Per signage at the Walmart in Westfield, MA the opening time for MA stores is 1am, while ME opening time is 12am. I would check with local stores, as some cities and towns have specific blue laws that dictate later times.
  18. There used to be an issue with line jumpers at the local Walmart. Those of us in line would let potential jumpers know it was not in their best interest to upset a mob of cold, tired New Englanders. Last year they started using the metal barricades to form the line and blocked the front of the store with them as well. Not sure how it will be this BF with the renovations and now 2 entrances. Police are there are stop attempted jumpers. BB is very organized in this area (Western MA), not many stories of jumpers.
  19. Luckily here in MA there are blue laws. Stores cannot open on Thanksgiving, unless they are a pharmacy I believe. Stores can apply for a permit to open early, but I do not know of any here in Western MA that have been succesful in doing so. So, it's usually 1am openings at the earliest here. Walmart was 4am last BF.
  20. The arrows break pretty easily on the Brave set. I have no experience with this set, but it has good reviews http://www.amazon.com/Zing-AH270-Air-Huntress/dp/B00AA0MXAU/ref=sr_1_4?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1382627356&sr=1-4&keywords=bow+and+arrow+girl
  21. I am signed up for the gift and ornament excahnge, can you add me to the card excahnge as well? Thanks!
  22. The Fisher Price learning house I found to be a toy that my nephews liked when they were about your grandsons age and they even used it for a couple more years.
