  1. On kent rd. (route 59)/ which one in Akron do u go to?

I went back After work n as others posted the big stuff was 30-50 off didn't see anything 70 except clothes n some born free bottles.

I go to the one on Arlington Rd. I'll stop at the Wadsworth one occasionally, but they seem to mark down sooner and have less by the time I get there. I went to Arlington Rd. yesterday and they had about half an isle of baby clearance left. A few packages of onesies, about 3 or 4 infant car seats, and a few other misc. things. I picked up a Graco Snugride at 50% off for 44.xx. Most everything else was 70% off but there wasn't much left. :/

  2. Akron, OH Target 75% off most things. A lot of sporting good type toys still at 30-50%. There was only about a full isle of things left at 11am. I lucked out because the 2 main things I wanted were there (Robot Buzz and Polar Express Train set) and I wasn't tempted to buy more than I could afford at the moment!

BTW...anyone else take advantage of their new RedCard Checkcard? I was so excited to be offered this! I had no clue they had this now. I am in the process of repairing my credit, so this is great! Still get the 5% off every order!

  3. People, we need to see where you are from. A lot of you say my Target is...Where is your Target at? This also helps those that are living on West Coast to see what it happening for the day. You can add your location to your profile. Now off to Target! :)

Can you check back in afterwards? I see that you're from NE Ohio as well. I want to head out myself, but with 2 little ones, I will be devastated if they haven't gone 75% yet. Funds are limited and I can't justify any other reason for going out! lol.

  4. Wow, thats like 96.45% off the regular price. You should call the store and let them know so that the cashier doesn't keep ringing things up wrong.

I don't blame her for not going back in. The way I see it...if Walmart spent their money more wisely on things like...uh...I dunno...TRAINING their employees, they wouldn't have so many costly mistakes.

I can't remember how many times Walmart has screwed me on how much I paid for something, let alone the countless employees who can never answer a simple question. Oh and let's not forget the disgusting attitude that the majority of them have! Causing me to inenivitably take my business to Target!

  5. Akron, OH went 75% off yesterday...and as of 11:30 they still had tons of stuff. Probably 5 trees or so (although, I cannot fathom buying a tree from Target. I got a beautiful 7.5 ft. FULL tree last year from Walmart for $78-not on sale!) and tons of lights, ornaments, paper, etc.

I do have some complaints though...my Targets either 1) NEVER have the paper goods, scissors, tape, etc. that you guys find or 2) I'm just never there early enough the day after Christmas to get it. Oh- and those Nick & Nora pjs..never see those either.

I am getting pumped about toys...seeing a ton ofthose at 30 and 50...but unfortunately this year funds are limited on "extras" like this so I'm definitely going to try and hold back until 75%.

  6. I have 2 boys, ages 3 and 2....and have never, nor will I ever take them with me on BF. Even if I had no sitter (which sometimes with the holidays, it can be a bit chaotic finding someone), I would still not take them with me. I'd shop online.

My boys are a nightmare shopping. On a regular day. That panicked mom you see?...is usually me. Being that I have one child IN the cart trying to stand up or climb, etc....it's a common occurance that my 3 year old takes advantage of that and takes off down an isle. There is NO way I would subject them to the crowds and chaos on BF. Unless of course I could somehow leash them inside the cart. But even then, I wouldn't have room for my doorbusters. LOL.

But on a serious note, I see a lot of comments in regards to BF being the only day to truly get rock-bottom prices on necessities/toys to be able to give their children a Christmas at all. My advice? Clearance shopping! My children are almost done as far as Christmas goes thanks to Old Navy's, Children's Place, and Target's after Christmas clearances last year. In fact the majority of the items I got...were far less than even the best of BF prices!

Anyways, my step-daughter is 10 this year. I may consider taking her with me in the next couple years just because I know she would love it and I think she's about to the age where she can handle it. Okay done rambling. lol..

  7. Well...doesn't help me much unfortunately....I stocked up on those games when they had their $8 sale and hasbro coupons several months ago...making them $2/piece.

Not to mention, I think they have those particular games on sale BF every year...at most stores, don't they? lol.

  8. All of my family thinks i am nuts! I was talking to my mom the other day about christmas shopping, and you could totally tell she had no interest. Of course she is the biggest procrastinator there ever was. I love shopping, i love saving money, so of course I am going BF shopping! And i am bringing my husband along this year for his first BF experience. I can't wait! haha

lol about your mom. My mom is the SAME way. Of course, money has been tight with her since her and my dad split, so I think that's partially why. But she's definitely a procrastinator....

Come to think of it...nobody in my family really gets into the Christmas spirit like I do. All except my grandma. Must be where I got it.. :-)

I wish I could get my fiance to come with me on BF. But he has other agendas for Thanksgiving weekend. He's an avid hunter so usually after TG dinner, he's gone. He's also ADHD, and I could totally see him having a nervous breakdown. lol. One of these years though...

  9. Yea, there's no way I could start wrapping yet. First, I have nowhere to store them where the paper wouldn't get damaged, and second, I have 2 small boys who are WAY too curious. lol...

I don't like having an empty tree either, so when we put the tree up (usually BF), I'll wrap what gifts I have for extended family and put them under. But the kids' gifts wait until Christmas Eve. That way, like some of the others, I can see the number of gifts/per child, and our living room isn't completely cluttered and overflowing with gifts for too long! lol..

  10. I love all these ideas...hoping to get everything I need for the marble magnets, and the snowmen ornaments tomorrow. I lovvvvee crafts but I never take the time to do them. I'm sure my boys will excited to help!

One thing I was curious about...maybe I'm not up on my floor shines, but my concern with the glitter ornaments is the liquid running and taking the glitter with it? I mean does it dry quickly after draining the excess, or what?

  11. Personally, I don't mind buying the junk at WM. My kids are 3 (4 next month) and 2, and my 3 year old has outgrown the first junky bike from WM, before it's junked out. He's riding with no training wheels and he's rough on them. I'd rather spend less on something that's going to be outgrown in 2 years tops anyways. I could see buying better bikes for olders kids who don't have much growing left...but not for my little ones. lol.
  12. If that jacket had a hood, I'd consider it. I could always use another coat for when it rains. The reviews for that jacket wasn't flattering.

I know. They remind me exactly of those $7 jackets WM has had on BF the past couple years. I bought those...and they're nice spares...but they were $7. Not $16. And certainly not $49.50. lol!
