If you pay online at USPS.com and print your label at home then you don't have to wait in line. I have always asked my PO where they want pre-paid packages and they've all had a spot for you to put them when they are busy with other people.

We have always lived in the country with long driveways. I leave a big tub (w/lid on it) just in the drive little ways. When we are new to an area I would write with permanent marker UPS/FED EX a few would miss it and end up at the house. So, I would tell them if the driveway is bad or they are in a hurry they can put it in there. We have the ring doorbell, above it, so I can see who stops. Someone drives by it a couple times a day anyway, so nothing is left up there too long.

I believe the 8th of December at least that's what I think I read somewhere. I will be pushing the deadline...ordered another gift yesterday and it said it will be here between the 29th and the 6th. So if it is the later I can't mail mine out till the 7th.

I think the early one day sales increases the amount each person will spend. Because then it isn't all at once. Plus, online shopping (especially since some stores start on Tuesday night or Wed. night now) allow people to shop at more places than they could if they had to stand in line at each one. Something I did notice is Meijers used to have a Thursday Sale and then a Friday Sale. This year they combined the sales into a two-day sale. So, Friday when I went in to grab a couple things, non-doorbuster, they were empty! Thus, everyone got their things there Thursday and shopped elsewhere on Friday. Like many of us have said before, the sale days keep expanding. But, I'm still not missing my family time!

I like the coffee mug and tote too...... was also thinking a car decal or bumper sticker?? And did anyone ever find the random gift cards that were sent??

I tried to get one at Target and Kohls and both sold out right away.
