I emailed Amazon when I saw the price had dropped. They emailed back within 20 minutes that as soon as my item had shipped, they would credit back the $7.01 difference. :)

Each of our children gives a toy to Toys for Tots. The only rule is it has to be something they really, really want themselves. This year, we're keeping one of the gifts we're giving a secret from them. It's something they don't even know exists, but is a very hard to get toy this year. I don't want to ruin my kids' surpise, but really want to share this toy with someone who might not otherwise get it.

We make sugar cookies shaped like snowmen or trees or whatever! Each kiddo decorates two cookies just for Santa and leaves them on a special Santa plate with milk in a special matching cup. They also put a bowl of shredded carrots down by the tree for the reindeer. One year, those silly reindeer accidentally carried in some leaves ... What a mess we had to clean up, but the kids loved it.

I add items I'm watching to my cart and wait/hope for the price to drop, too. Works well... sometimes I even forget I wanted something until Amazon lets me know the price of items in my cart has dropped... lol

I bought buttermilk from WM a few weeks ago. A price didn't come up when the cashier scanned it, so she asked me how much it was. I hadn't even paid attention, so didn't know. She actually asked me how much I wanted to pay!!! I thought she was joking at first and said "how about nothing?" But, she was very, very serious. I finally just said, "How about $1.29?" Sold! lol

We make silver and crystal bracelets and necklaces for my daughter's teachers every year. Her teacher, the librarian and the EA all cried last year. It was so sweet. They sell for $30+ each, but we're able to make them for just a few dollars (at most). This year we're also making matching silver bookmarks - crystals and a pendant hanging from the top.
