I'm curious if anyone will be getting good deals here on this sale; if any of the items people want are actually on sale (enough to stack coupons to make it a better price than BF). I'm not sure about the printer. I do think there's a chance. At least with Kohl's you'll know by Monday.

It's a DVD Recorder / VCR combo. Very useful for anyone wanting/needing to convert VHS home videos to DVD. There are still people out there that would be interested in this. Also, @bigjimslade may even be in the market for this as his betamax is now going obsolete. AND he'd get a DVD recorder with his VHS player; he'll think he's living in a futuristic sci-fi movie!!

So, I'm a bit confused that 90% of the pages say "Starts Thursday 4pm until noon Friday" and then Pg 36 & 46 have it starting 2pm on Thursday. And that's not the online sale time because it says separately that online all day Wednesday. Misprint? Edit: To actually use the correct time that I meant to type; "Starts Thursday 4pm..."

The WRT54G wasn't even that long ago!! And now there's 3 bands! I don't even think I ever use the 2.4GHz band for anything... I'm curious to see if prices come down by this time next year. I've currently got a Dual-band coming off the cable modem and wired into another single-band router upstairs. So I have 2 access points in the house.

Differs by retailer, their headquarters location, and when the site actually gets around to doing it... Usually midnight is a good frame of reference; sometimes earlier, very often later. The forums will be here to keep you informed when the time comes.

I'm not sure I agree with that... There's extensive results of LED light bulbs that specifically say "Non-dimmable" in the title of the product (e.g. here).

I'd always choose Sony over Panasonic in BD players. They are the long-standing best in the business. I do feel that Samsung is catching up with them. My Sony BD player after a year and a half died and we hardly used that one. The same player I've had for 4 years now is still going strong. $10 is worth it to me, but I'm also considering the Samsung from other places that have it on sale.

Saw this in the Staples ad. I only got my dual-band 3 years ago! Anyone up to speed and have the quick version of what this 3rd band is for? Looks like it could just start flapping those antennae and take off!

You're only kidding yourself if you think it'll only be midnight before the sale goes live for all your items.

I think I remember Staples/Office Depot sometimes having deals on them, too. I don't think there's enough of a market anymore for BF deals.

It says "All day Thursday" again, so we can expect around midnight ET Wednesday night. Looking back from last year, things were a bit delayed and people didn't seem to be getting items at sale prices until about 3 or 4am ET. I think Macys rolls the items over one at a time so it may depend on the item you're looking for. GottaDeal.com opens up a forum dedicated to online sales and a thread specific for each site as we get closer, so stay tuned around the weekend before BF.

I've found that yes with a Web ID, it will be available online. I'd be interested to know if that was ever not the case for anyone.

I would be extremely worried they would be giving away my item before I even got there to pick it up, and then just cancel my order on me. It's certainly worth trying, but I wouldn't bank on it if that's an item you really wanted to get.

I'm excited to explore beyond Chromecast for streaming. I don't use it for much, but WatchESPN and sharing the GalaxyTab screen with the TV. I don't really do any gaming (not need for a full console other than wired ethernet), have Amazon Prime, and likely will get a Fire Stick this year and try it out.
