  1. Wow, in or around Rockford? I worked for a printer not too far from there for 5 years. I know the process and there are several places leaks could escape. Here they are: 1. During the graphic design and proofreading 2. While it's being printed on the press - paper jams occur quite often in the presses 3. During the cutting - the document is usually created on sheets of paper that are much larger and after completion need to be cut down to size 4. The folding process - this process would be the easiest to snag one, the folding machine moves fast and jams occur quite often 5. The packaging and shipping process 6. A few of the final products are always held back by the printer in the event they were to acquire the job again next year so they have an example to go off of for type of paper used, type of ink, time study and cost There are several print shop employees involved in this total process. If you just sat on it for a few days after the job was completed and shipped out Wal-mart wouldn't know who was to blame.
  2. I do finally get to sleep after i've mapped out my plan of attack and put my ads in a 3 ring binder. So I usually get about 3 hours sleep. Then come home go out to breakfast and collapse. But it's been sooooo worth it.

  4. I was a winner of a BF T-shirt in 2008. Brad had a contest to come up with suggestions for a new contest. My idea was chat room Holiday Trivia. Thanks Brad! I enjoyed wearing it on BF and getting lots of crazy looks, lol. I'll be wearing it proudly again this year!

  8. I use a flexible binder, not the hard backed ones so i can stick it in my purse if I need to grab with both hands.
  9. We go in a group of 4 - 2 and 2. We each have mini vans, plenty of room.
  10. I use a 3 ring binder, i three hole punch the ads and organize them in the order of how i'm going to visit each store.
  11. I traditionally wear my Rudolph sweatshirt with a holiday turtleneck underneath......But this year I will be wearing my GOTTADEAL BLACK FRIDAY t-shirt with a holiday turtleneck underneath. No coat is gonna cover up my shirt, I'll suffer for the cause. :yup:
  12. Chat room Holiday Trivia. Brad would ask the questions, first correct answer to appear in the chat window to Brad wins, first person to 10 answered correctly wins. For Instance - 1 What was the name of the street Ralphie lived on in a Christmas Story? 2 In what state do the main characters of White Christmas do their Christmas Eve show? 3 Where did Uncle Billy lose the money he was to deposit in the bank in It's a Wonderful Life? 4 What year was the song Rudolph the Red-Nosed reindeer first released? 5 Who is the narrator of the Rankin/Bass Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer show? 6 What color of Christmas tree did Lucy want in A Charlie Brown Christmas? 7 What Christmas tune was first made famous by the original Catwoman? 8 In Polar Express which robe pocket (right or left) was torn that in turn lost the silver bell? 9 In what year did the Macy's Thanksgiving parade first start? 10 How were Karen and Frosty going to get to the North Pole in animated Frosty the Snowman? These are just a few. They are a little tough, but I think for times sake in the chat room you need them to be a little on the perplexing side.

  18. I don't usually have to make Christmas breakfast. I have alot of in-laws here where we live and we go in shifts to the Aunt in laws house for breakfast casserole, oh so yummmy. But I have on occasion made a cinnamon twist with sugar glaze that I purchased from one of the local fund raisers, easy and delicious.
  19. Ok, another newbie here. I'm interested in the Ornament Exchange. Do we email our likes and dislikes along with our other info, or do we post it here? And, do we buy an ornament for all on the list or are we given a certain someone to buy for? Thanks in advance!
  20. I make oyster stuffing every year. If you like oysters you'll love this, and it's easy! 1 Box Stove Top Chicken Stuffing 1 Cup Fresh Oysters 1 Egg Prepare as directed on box, substitute water with the oyster liqeur. Add oysters to when fluffing the stuffing, allow to cool slightly. Whip your egg, then add to stuffing. Blend well. Bake until top is crunchy. Delicious
  21. I work at a college, so it's a holiday for us, I haven't worked BF since 2000, yeah me!

  24. Definitely do stockings! They're filled with small items, candy, earrings for dd, trading cards for ds. The inlaws do a HUGE 6ft stocking. Everybody buys 3 gifts for each person, including the children and we stuff the stocking. Then on Christmas night we sit around and open all the gifts, takes about 3 hours.
  25. I guess I feel fortunate that I don't have to camp out overnight. I only have to stand in line for about 2 hours, and usually I'm at the front of the line, even being there just 2 hours before the store opens.
