Mine will PM the doorbusters too. We got the Sharp 46" LCD tv that was on sale at Sears at WM last year. It was so nice to waltz in, get a beautiful tv for a good deal and waltz right back out without having to deal with the pushing and shoving and fighting over 3 tvs.

I don't understand either....

I have a hard time thinking they would do that at our store....highly doubt it actually. There has never been any sort of order, and never needed it either. We'll see though!

I'm starting to wonder if this is all just a rumor.

We did this last year with our LCD TV. Got the great Sears deal without having to fight for one....just by Ad Matching at Wal-Mart. I am going to guess they are going to do this again this year. They have this as an ongoing thing (printed on all their ads), so I don't see why they would change it this year. According to my husband it's their policy to price match (as long as the item is identical), and it doesn't matter if it's a special sale.

My husband said at his store they actually tried handing the big ticket items out around the back of the store before. They had everything in a trailer and handed them to the people that had purchased them inside. He said it ran so smoothly and made life easier for the associates who didn't have to try to wheel out big tv and computer items through the crowds. They haven't done this in years, but maybe they will do it again this year?

So far my family member that works at Wal-Mart says there won't be any changes at our local Wal-Mart other than the name. I'm sure they would have started talking about it at least slightly if there were going to be big changes here. There is never a problem at our store though, very very very rural with only a slight crowd early and everyone is mainly cordial.

Has anyone heard this rumor, that Wal-Mart is changing the name of their 'Blitz' event to... get this.... THE EVENT! Yes, the event. I laugh every time I hear someone say it out loud. Funny. What do you all think of this?

I agree, I would go with Epping. Their WM is beautiful (especially in comparison to Newington). I'm guessing the Portsmouth one will be swamped, Epping would seem to be the place to go.

I always look forward to WM because it's the only chain store in my area, but I also look forward to Michael's & Joann's for crafts and in general all the flyers make me excited!
