I just picked up the more expensive TomTom from the site at the BF price. They showed the Ease at the $59 price maybe an hour ago, but the item has suddenly disappeared. The GPS was the only 5 a.m. item I was looking at, so now I can move on to other stores instead of putting wal-mart in my 5 a.m. plans. Look up the items you want (even if not listed here, or on the walmart thanksgiving site) and type them in and you might get a surprise!

Will they be starting anything at midnight tonight? Or does it start later?

Up Rewards are Rite Aid's way of keeping your money in their store. Esentially if an items says $5 with $2 up rewards, you still have to pay the $5. Then they give you a receipt for $2 toward another purchase in their store. If you frequent the store, or can go there to buy staple items like milk then it can be 'worth' it. If you don't go there ever, or don't have other things in mind you can purchase with the Up rewards then you might as well bypass the deals.

I wasn't super disappointed with this ad, but not super excited either. I'm finding my problem is that I just don't need any of the typical Black Friday items, so unless something is an outstanding deal and I have to have it for the price - then I'm just not buying I suppose. With no major purchases planned for this season, and much of my list being very specific items that are not your 'box store' type items - it's going to be hard to please me. On a good note, I found a lot of clothing items that seem to be a good deal. They might not be out of the ball park deals, but they are solid sales. $3 mini appliances are always favorable in my book, and I might pick one up as a back up for one that might not make it until another good sale comes. I'm thinking there are a lot of people like me though, going to be very picky and have to find the deals be excellent in order to pull them in.

Last year we got a pricey lcd tv for pretty darn cheap at Wal-Mart by doing PM from the Sears ad. We knew there was no way we'd get one of the few they actually had at Sears, so we opted to PM. Two days before or so, we actually took the Sears ad to Wal-Mart and we asked someone there. I know some people say never ask, but it took away some of the potential confusion and drama for Friday. We wrote down the name of the clerk that said we could absolutely do it, and went on our way. Friday we rolled into Wal-Mart hours after opening and got the TV nobody else was touching and the manager ok'd it and we left 2 very happy campers. Last year I feel like they were advertising specifically the price matching thing. Go armed with as much back up as possible, and scope out the stores early to be able to make your argument if it's something that's worth it.

Last year I had a really bad one about sleeping in and missing things, it was quite dramatic! I can only imagine I'll have another one this year too.

I need help! I want to get one in the upcoming BF sales and am so lost in which one to get! There are so many, I want to go with one of the big 3 (Magellan, Garmin, TomTom) but other than that am so lost. I don't need traffic, but I am highly interested in Points of Interest. I read somewhere that one of the brands actually shows little icons when you are on the highway if there is a gas station coming up on the next exits and things like that. I need something like that, and that I can type in a business name/type when I'm traveling and find it. I want text-to-speech, and it needs to have the ability to enter multiple destinations for trips. On the same note, I don't need anything highly fancy and want something affordable (under $120).

I'm having the same issue. I pick my store and then it just comes up with a blank white screen and doesn't do anything else.

I'm hoping that the GPS units will be a part of the online sale. If they are....then I will probably show up at WM at nearly 5. If they aren't...then probably an hour or two before opening at the most. I'm not big on waiting in line to save money...

How do you even know that you have a virus? You think I'd know this by now...I run AVG often, but don't know otherwise how I would know if I had a virus.

Why, oh why did this have to come up just as I was about to go to bed? If I don't just stay up (even if it's until morning), I will have BF nightmares! Not even joking, real nightmares about not waking up BF morning and missing out on all the deals.

What's everyone's realistic opinion of the Blu-Ray? I want to pick up one for my parents at this price point. They won't notice a huge difference in clarity (they barely notice at all actually), but I still want to upgrade them to go with their new Sharp HDTV>

Wal-Mart does order some things. Yes for some things they 'get what they get', but they can ask for certain things for sure...we request things all the time.

The reason Wal-Mart has used games is because they are doing a new 'recycle' program. Think of it as a cash for gold, but with games/dvd's/cameras/computers/etc.

All of the mail in rebates will definately keep me from Kohls. I don't have time to waste doing all that....I just want to purchase things and not have additional work.

My mom just got back from WM here that opens at 6am and they started selling the stuff right when the doors opened.

It is for the day after Thanksgiving, and I did get a solid confirmation this morning. This is happening. The store opening at midnight, but sales not starting then.

I'm sure that's what they will do in this situation too, it's just a new thing that they will be opening stores at midnight to let people in before the sales actually start.

I have two sources that are telling me that non-24 hour Wal Marts will be open at midnight. I'm not sure if this means that the sales will start at Midnight, or if it means that they are just opening the doors to let people line up inside at the pallets where they want items from (you know the new rules of a line for every item). It is unclear, but I am trying to find out more. Realistically, they probably are not starting the sale when the doors open, but letting the lines build up to avoid rushing.

I'd check out the WalMart secret Saturday sales. Those TV prices look really good, if they are the TVs we are assuming they are. The Sharp 46" if it's the LCD 1080P, is $200 cheaper than the BF price last year when I bought it.
