Half Price Books 10/13

I think once all of the kinks are worked out it will be fabulous!! I like it

Last year was my first year shopping the Outlets on BF. They opened at midnight, but I made my trips to Walmart and Target first and sent the hubby to Sears and Home Depot. I got to the Outlets around 5 a.m. and it was a ghost town, but I had the absolute best shopping experience there. Got a parking spot right at the front, no long check out lines, the employees were in great moods and were very helpful. Plenty of deals left and I was giddy over all of the awesome stuff I bought...lol. I will definitely stick to that routine again this year.

Lmao.....I could just imagine. I know if I had been waiting in line, in the cold for a while and someone said that to us, it wouldn't be pretty...lol. He's lucky he didn't get some type of heavy object thrown at his head!!!

OMG....I would have loved to see that in person....

Yeah, my friend's husband wanted to jump in line with us a couple of years ago at TRU after we had waited in the cold for 3 hours!!! He thought we would let him slip in with us unnoticed....HA! To the back of the line he went!!

Ok, I'm dying to know too. I'm assuming either this was a joke or the Dollar Tree was next door to Target or Best Buy or some other store...lol. What kind of BF deals would $ Tree have?....everything .50?

I'm hoping for lots of awesome deals year. This will be a big electronics year for me. I am looking at getting a Wii, ipod and netbook for my daughter, a new tv for mine and hubby's bedroom, a gps for my parents to finally bring them into the 21st century..lol. Possibly a new digital camera for me. We'll see how my list pans out once the ads start rolling in.

Anyone have any pics or a fave story from last year they want to share? The attached pic is one my friend took of me while we were sitting outside of Target last year. We forgot our blankets at home so she ran back to Walmart and grabbed some of those $3 blankets they had. I could have killed her for this pic, but we always have a blast while waiting out in the cold.

wow, for the first time in years I will be going to Kmart on BF and NOT on Thanksgiving morning. I guess I will head to Walgreens on Turkey Day and grab my newspaper

I would love to know about this one also, I just had an Old Time Pottery open up near me this year and LOVE that place!!

OMG I hadn't even notice that until reading this post....I'm soooo getting that. I was a HUGE Punky fan when I was little. I also had the doll, it was my BIG Christmas gift they year it came out. My parents have me on video crying because I was sooo happy to get it...lol. Thanks for posting this so I could add it to my list too

I am pretty impressed w/ their toy deals, they have a lot more in their ad than Walmart. I really want to see the Thanksgiving day ad. I know I will definitely be hitting Kmart this year at least once during the shopping weekend. I usually go there on Thanksgiving morning and from what I see in the BF ad, I think its safe to say I will be there on Thanksgiving too.

I am disappointed in the early opening times, especially TRU. Midnight openings are fine, but anything before that just seems greedy. I am happy w/ a lot of deals in the ads, but probably because I didn't have a lot specific items in mind before they started coming out. If you are just shopping, there are tons of awesome deals to be had.

I need Walmart, Kmart, Best Buy and Home Depot so I can finalize my game plan. Thanks for all of your work keeping this site up and running w/ all of the hits its been getting in the past couple days. Gottadeal.com = #1 Black Friday site on the web!!!!!

Not sure how I feel about this 10pm opening.......got look through the ad a little more to see if I absolutely HAVE to go there.

Crap...they are predicting rain and low temps in the 30s for the 2 days before BF for me.......Guess I better get the rain gear ready just in case
