  1. I miss Five Star I basically lived off of it during my time at UF. It's about as unhealthy an existence as is possible, but oh god is it delicious.
  2. Dell computers are great until something goes wrong and you have to interract with their customer service. Then all hell breaks loose, and you're likely to get conflicting instructions, incomplete advice, or just lied to, like the OP. For our future computing needs, we're going to sack up and pay the extra $$$ to get Toshibas.
  3. You could buy a stick of 256 mb ram from crucial.com for less than $50. If you wanted to spend a little more money and buy a stick of 512 mb, it would only cost between $60 and $70. This would allow you to have 768 mb total, which is more than enough to do most basic computer tasks. And the installation is a breeze (it literally clicks in). Upgrading the hard drive is a bit trickier. But I don't think most folks absolutely need something larger than the 80 gb.
  4. There are nominal services charges ($5-$10) charged by Travelocity, Hotwire, Orbitz, etc. You can use those sites to determine which of the major airlines have the cheapest rates. Then go to Southwest.com, Jetblue.com, etc. to check the discount airlines' rates. If the major airlines have cheaper rates, you can go directly to their site and purchase the fare you located on the search engine, but save the service charge.
  5. I want those 24 box sets from Best Buy. Jack Bauer is my man-crush.
  6. Just be careful - you might be getting the same cease and desist letter from OD's people.
  7. That is true. If the ads state a minimum, then the store doesn't have the minimum number of products, it could be considered a "bait and switch," which would violate your state's DTPA (or equivalent). Of course, whether anyone would actually file suit is a different story.
  8. The 64 is a cartridge system, and the next Nintendo game will be a disc system - so the 64 games won't be able to be played on the Revolution, or whatever it's going to be called.
  9. Amazon.com is a good place. Even if they don't have the game in stock their marketplace sellers will usually have it - often for a pretty good price. And you shouldn't be embarassed about it at all - I think Perfect Dark is one of my favorite games of all time.
  10. Low turn out? What's wrong with the fine folks in Wisconsin?!?
  11. A few years ago (maybe 2003?) Walmart had some pretty crazy sales on Thanksgiving day. I don't remember if there were any ads for it - I went in for some last minute Thanksgiving provisions and stumbled upon it.
  12. I know you can't get papers on them, but there are always plenty of beautiful dogs looking for a good home at your local animal shelter.
  13. Check the thread about ten down...
  14. No offense or anything - but, then why did you ask?
  15. I'd be shocked if you found any on Black Friday. My suspicion is that the few that are still available after preorders are filled will be snatched up with moments of the stores' opening on the 23rd (or whenever they go on sale).
