My kids are small so for now the gifts go in the laundry room either in a bag or just covered up with clothes or a blanket. I have no clue where the gifts will be going when they get older though.

Me too! My dh probably wouldn't care if I put the decorations up now. He also doesn't say anything about how long they stay up either. I pretty much run all that lol. He let's me do what I want and just enjoys it. For me honestly I would feel weird putting up my stuff this early, guess because it's not what I'm used to. The tradition I'm starting with our family is putting up the decorations either on BF night or Saturday night. But I might want to do it on Thankgiving night this year.

You should totally go for it. We are just starting to really get into decorating, and I'll probably start putting stuff up the week of Thanksgiving. Just thinking about the Christmas music and the holiday makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Haha!

We don't have any no-no's yet as my ODD is almost 3 and I have a 5 month old DD. But it's funny a LOT of the stuff you guys have mentioned I don't like, lol. I'm not even sure what to get my oldest this year...I'm at least done with oversized items like a kitchen (she got that last year). So I guess it will be either Barbies, books,and/or arts and crafts.

Last year one of my shopping buddies had to bring her 4 yr old (single mom and no sitter). I think it went ok. I was lucky hubby stayed with dd. This year since my buddies will be out of town I'll probably just have DH drop me off early to get the door busters, then later pick me up to go get breakfast with my soon to be 5 month old and soon to be 3 yr old. That way I get what I want and the babies get to sleep in. I just don't want to spend all day totally alone while shopping.

This is actually only my second year. I'm wishing I had been into it when I was younger and before kids, but it's all good. I LOVE it!!! :)

All my buddies are going out of town this year, so it's either me by myself, or dragging hubby and the kids out. So if there are any Gder's in the south hill, Puyallup Wa or even Tacoma area let me know!

Last year I was only 2 mos pregnant with my second child, so I wasn't showing yet. But I was struggling with morning sickness and being tired. My friends were very impressed that I could keep up with them. They had mentioned that most of the pregnant women they had been around usually complained when they had to do too much walking. This year I'm so excited for black friday because I WON'T be pregnant!!! So I can move much faster and go to more stores.

I'm not sure where you would be able to find these songs to download, but those kidz bop cd's are cool I think. They are basically the popular songs they play on the radio, but they are clean. Who knows they might have the cd on itunes but I'm not sure.

Yea..and I'm pretty sure that employees have to jump through a lot of hoops to be eligible for that insurance too...you guys really need to watch that documentary "The High Cost of Low Prices" it might open the eyes of some people who think others are just "walmart bashers". Me personally I don't hate walmart, but I also know that when it comes to some of their business practices they can be pretty shady.

For my first Black Friday every I'd say it went off without a hitch! My first stop was Walmart. I decided to go to a 24 hr store in a smaller town (my friend said last year it wasn't at crazy) boy was she wrong! We got there at 4:30 and the parking lot was already full!! I was glad that they had maps, I got turned around a few times but I did find EVERYTHING I wanted. Also even though it was a madhouse, people were really nice. I asked a few people where they found things and they were happy to help me. Also if an isle was too crowded some were nice enough to grab stuff for people. I'd say it was a great experience. After Walmart we hit the mall for a few things and then headed home. Great day!!!

I'm very new to all this...where exactly on the forums are you guys finding all the deals? Also are these just for online, or brick and mortar stores too?

It wouldn't exactly be my idea of fun either, but I feel some people are being a little harsh on those who CHOOSE to camp our for 3 or 4 days . You may not be able to justify it, but for some reason they can.

Well God bless them and I hope they get what they want. I'm kinda not understanding why everybody is being so judgemental...we live in a free society where if a person wants to camp out a few days before black friday they can. Just live and let live:yup:

I think I may have actually taken someones "stash" before. I can't quite remember what it was, either a dvd or game. But I found it hidden behind some other part of the same section. But you can tell they were trying to bury it so nobody would find it...guess I was just a little to crafty for them and found what they were hiding. I've never done this btw, but wouldn't it make sense to hide the item in a DIFFERENT section of the store...I don't know, but I got what I was looking for that day and hopefully the store had more of what that person was trying to hide.

Our itinerary for BF will be: Walmart @ 4am, then jet on over to Old Navy, then head to Target to see what they have left. Then after that probably just hit up the mall and get whatever else we need.

I'm a SAHM so no worries about having the day off. Plus DH works 4/10's so he automatically gets Friday off. He'll be home with baby while me and my best friend shop til we drop!!! So excited!!
