  1. Ok, you guys will probably think this is corny, but those 25 dollar microwaves from Walmart back in 2008 lmao! I love that thing and it STILL works!
  2. Hey guys! I absolutely love this time of year and we have so much going on that it goes by in a blur most of the time. I've been thinking though about when I should start putting up the Christmas deco..my oldest (whose birthday is on Nov. 1st) is already asking about the decorations and when are we going to put up the tree, lol. Last year I put it up the week after her birthday..so yea two whole months of decorations. I loved it though! It's looking like they are going up that early again . I'm curious to know when does your family start decorating?

    DSi or DS lite?

We have a Dsi, I think it's nice because you can play games that require the camera. Also there IS a way to put parental controls on the internet if you so choose.
  4. Mine wasn't too exciting, I was at the mall for Old Navy around 2ish and needless to say I DIDN'T get the Lego game. No biggie though. The line to get into ON was insane. Once in I was able to get everything we needed. The sucky part though was that it took TWO hours to check out!!! Insane right? Once I left there I headed over to Micheal's to get some things with the 25% off everything coupon. I was back home by 6:30, I'm pretty happy with how everything went. Didn't even think about going to Walmart or Target. Will probably go to both later to check out the two day sale items.
  5. I love me some stuffing, but if I could pick more than one I'd say my uncle's spicy greens, baked macaroni and cheese & my mom's sweet potato pie..man I miss home. We're cooking our first Thanksgiving just our little family and while it won't be as extensive I'm sure it will be good.
  6. I totally agree with the what's in bold. I'm sure she wouldn't be upset if she didn't have anything to unwrap on Christmas day, just seeing the cash will probably make her grin from ear to ear. I understand how money can feel impersonal, but what can you do when they get this age? I'd be more upset if a small child didn't have a gift to unwrap than a teen IMO.
  7. Oh yea forgot about this, "Little city south of Seattle": Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. Wednesday Night: A 40 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. Thanksgiving Day: Rain likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. Thursday Night: Rain likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Friday: Rain likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52.
  8. My best friend lives in Houston and they've been having a lot of rain lately according to her. I haven't checked that website yet, but I'm sure it will be raining like it was last year.
  9. Thanks for posting the ad! I've been battling a cold all day and this makes me feel much better! :)
  10. Yea I think I ran into one yesterday, but luckily my anti virus stopped the page from loading.
  11. That would be awesome if you could get that ad out to Brad. Crossing my fingers and toes!!!
  12. I used cash last year, and will be doing the same this year. I can get into a LOT of trouble just using my debit card, I would be likely to overspend that way. I would say if you don't feel comfortable carrying around too much money (not sure how much is too much) but maybe you can just take out a little at a time and then get the rest from an atm? The only thing I can think of.
  13. I REALLY want a Macbook Pro..buuut I technically don't need a new laptop, even though the one I'm using now is crappy and runs on Vista. LOL!
  14. Hmm, now you guys got me thinking about putting up our tree this week. I'm sure my kids would enjoy it, not sure what my hubby would think if I put it up this soon though lol
  15. Good to know, but where is the freaking ad already? lol
  16. I thought of another but not sure what they have, do you guys think Burlington Coat factory would have some toys on sale?
  17. Thanks for the tip! I was having a hard time finding something for my soon to be 6 month old too.
  18. Great Ad!!! That TV looks awesome, hopefully not impossible to get though.
  19. OP, that sounds really good. Probably too complicated for me though. LOL! I'm really nervous this is going to be my first Thanksgiving cooking the whole meal, but I'm up for the challenge!
  20. I was thinking about this too. But I don't have to worry about it yet because ydd will only be 6mos by Christmas day. I'm actually not even sure if I'm going to wrap her gifts because my odd (3) will probably think it's hers, as she does with all the toys we've bought for the baby lol.
  21. Your best bet would be to either look for an 80gb on craigslist or see how much a used one from gamestop would cost. We have the 40gb and think it's absolutely rediculous that they aren't backwards compatible. But it was *free* so I can't really complain. Good Luck!
  22. That's interesting I never even thought about Black Friday in a racial context and I'm black!
