That aways happens and most people expect it. they don't like it but tey expect it. However, I always try to get within the first few. I am a big CC and BB person. There is a difference between people who cut in line and people who are switching off. I am generally there 6 to 7 hours before so it is a MUST to switch off. But, generally @ 3 hours b4 the store opens everyone is there. I think of it like this. If there are 4 of us and 2 need to use the bathroom, get us something to eat or get warm in the car for a sec. What's the problem? Bevcause I've been at stores where people step out to go use the restroom and even though they asked someone to hold their space they can't get back in. ridiculous. there's a huge difference between 3 people and 10+. But to solve it all. PLEASE be in the first 10 to 15. You'll find it's worth it. Make friends of the people around you and tell them exactly how many people there are with you...and u should be ok. I just returned from my 25 hour trip to Wal-Mart, Target and BB in Clarksvile/Jeffewrsonville, IN. We, my boyfriend & I, got to Walmart yesterday morning at 8:30am only to find 2 other people ahead of us. (1st person there at 6am!). We did not receive our vouchers until 10pm!! At least we were inside, but my boyfrirend went to Target line (outside at 5pm). I joined the BB line at 10pm. I was #42, but bought the 6th place in line because the guy left for $100. We ended up getting all that we needed. We have several children/adults we are buying for. It was truly hard core gamers, resellers and family members in line. LOTS of cash flowing. Most people were buying people's places in line for $200+. I got very lucky! It was a definite test! And it makes me think that 10pm on Thanksgiving isn't early enough for the laptop deals at CC or BB. I may have to rethink my strategy. Maybe 6pm? I don't know! (you know how people start showing up and adding to the ranks ahead of you the closer to store time. Although the people outside at BB started a list w/ names and line numbers. AND BB bought us pizza and soda!!) But, WOW! it was down to 37 degrees...talk about cold! And it's supposed to be colder in St Louis Thursday night! Ok, now I've got my Xbox and I'm ready for Black Friday! Good luck everyone!

scratch what i just said. I just woke up out of my sleep and called wal-Mart. The electronics guy whispered to me..."if you want one, come right now! Cmne to electronics and get a ticket# and a chair. hurry!!!!" I said ok, I'm on my way, what's your name? He said BRAD!" Isn't funny how Brads all over help people get a great dealsl! on the Louisville area, where I'm currently at, there are nolines...yet. I'm up and going to start calling the stores every 1/2 hour to hour. AndI'm going to be planted in wal-Mart by noon. Ugh! for the midnight release. Then heading to Bb or Target for another one. got lots of true gamers in my family....... think happy warm thoughts for me!

Ahhh, St Louis will be a lovely 41/25. Yes, a bit chilly, but nothing a good sleeping bag and a portable heater from Taret can't handle! I love the cold. It's invigorating. I agree! If they leaked the ads earlier I'd have more paychecks to save up from to buy! as it is I've spent my yearly bonus already on these deals! And most of them are for me! How will I ever afford Christmas gifts?

I'm sooooooooo at CC. I'm so happy. I feel relieved! Now, I can make my battle plans. I hate that CC is opening the same time as BB. So, now I'm justwondering exactly what they will have on sale online on Thanksgiving. Can anyone tell?

At my BB in St Louis this works. And if they han out tickets at yours, it should work - let me tell you why. Generally, you get the ticket and then rush inside. But, for the special computers they are not out on the floor. They are behind the geek squad station usually with your name or ticket # on htem. You must stand in a line (usually very, very long) to get it. And then you purchase it right there. Last year we bought a computer. We were within the 1st 40. And it took us 2 hours in that geek squad line to get up to pay for it. When i got to the front the guy said as long as the computer is purchased by the end of the doorbuster time I was ok. This is actually what I'm planning to do this year. I ant to go to BB and get thetickets, but then go to CC and see if there deal is better. Whichever I don't use I'll give away waaay b4 11. I would call your BB if you are unsure. Their customer service can be helpful.

In St Louis, we aren't lucky to get a map. And they do put things in teh weirdest places! Andthe lines are ridiculous. We generally get there about 2 hours b4 store opening and are in the first 5 people. They do give us tickets though. And for the ticketed items you just go to a register up fromt and pay. You don't have to run through the store for those. That works out great. AND we get donuts, juice and sometimes biscuits. ummm......

Thanks so uch Princess. I'm glad you finally chose one! I'm still going crazy! Although, I think I'm leaning towards Sirius because of the programming too. My dilemma may be solved though. I read a post by "general" who stated he heard BB was giving out free XM radio receivers to the first few! And I intend to be #1.

Wow, thanks for all the very comprehensive help. I think I'm leaning towards Sirius. He loves sports. And he was very specific about how he wanted to be able to listen in the house while playing his PSP, another gift this year. So, I guess I'll see if I can find any info on the home and car kit. Hopefully, CompUSA or someone else has that super cheap this year! You guys are great!

Thanks for that illusion. I got scared andcalled my BB (St Louis). They saiod they had people in line @ 11pm. So, I hopefully will be safe at 10. But, wow, Ft Worth shoppers are the truth! B4 the store closed the day before, that's over 24 hours in line. INSANITY!!!!!!!

Wow Dalerider! I'm impressed! That's a great plan! Do you mean sell on ebay? U must be a whiz w/ computers!! I'll be like you, although everyone thinks I'm crazy. I'm going to BB at 10pm, manbe a little earlier I'm paranoid. And like "illusion" all I'll have is a chair, blanket and a book or small tv. I can do it! Camping out at WM on Monday for Xbox 360 will be practice. The longest I've ever done for BF is camping out for 5 hours. 7 is going to be different, but I have to get the laptops, desktops, etc.

wow. 9:30 the morning of. I'm die hard, bt wow. That's over 15 hours in WM. Ok, can you tell I don't shop rthere a lot! Ok, so can see WM is gonna be hard, but I guess I'll try. The only reason I really want one is for resell and another one for my bf's son. BF wants PS3 also. I wsh we could get a discount on the XBOX, but no luck. I shoulda been like everyone else and either had a connection or worked at a store myself or preordered. And he forecast calls for rain and snow showers in KY Monday and Tuesday. Think warm thoughts for me! I wish everyone luck on this who's going!

Since most of the threads here say that XBox 360 won't be available on BF, is anyone here camping out Monday at WM or early Tuesday morning at Target, BB or others? If so, what time would you start camping out for one at WM on Monday? Just trying to get a feel. I'm going to be at BB at 10pm for other deals and really wanted this too. But, it doesn't look like it's possible.

Trust. RUN! I always get tickets at the BB in St Louis. And I ALWAYS RUN!! I ALWAYS get everything I want. Better to run and to go home w/ what YOU came for, then to walk and be polite and watch OTHERS go home with what YOU came for. But, really, enjoy...go wild!
