  1. I got my daughter a full size electric planket for $29.99. YAY!!!
  2. HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! We're waiting for snow here as well. I was just talking to my kids and husband about a float trip when it warms up and now we're talking snow. The weather is crazy this year.
  3. I hope I can keep remembering to do this, I would love a BF t-shirt
  4. I managed to remember again. Hopefully can keep this up. I'd love a t-shirt.
  5. This sounds like fun, hopefully life doesn't get in the way and I remember to post. I'd love to have a BF shirt.
  6. Honestly I think it depends on where you are going and the maturity level of the child. I took my daughter with me when she was ten. That was when all the sales were on Friday morning. She was great, she loves BF shopping and has gone with me every year since, she's 23 now. This will be the first year we can't go together. She's in AIT training for the Army National Guard. I'm definitely going to miss shopping with her this year. My 2 boys on the other hand I didn't take til they were 15 and they never want to go again. Taking a baby out definitely needs a plan and you sound like you have a good one. Just use common sense and if it gets to be to much go home.
  7. I cook dinner almost entirely by myself, (my husband makes an apple pie and my daughter makes deviled eggs, my son makes a cheesecake) We spend the entire day together, me cooking and them trying to steal any food they can from the kitchen. Dinner is usually done around 4 and then whom ever doesn't want to shop cleans up dinner while my daughter and I go to Gordmans and sometimes Kmart, my parents go to Walmart and Shopko, my sister goes to Target and Menards, and my aunt goes to JCP and Macys. I do most of the shopping online. I hate the thanksgiving hours but the way we split up the stores we are usually back home within 2-3 hours, and if the deals aren't worth it we don't go. This year I am pretty sure I will be hitting Kmart if no where else because my daughter and my little brother are both graduating college in May and will be needing the $3-5 appliances for their new homes.
  8. My 22 year old daughter sent me a text last night saying "mom, I found the most amazing thing! There's a website called Gottadeal, THEY ALREADY HAVE BLACK FRIDAY ADS POSTED! You have to check it out." I was thinking, where were you the last 4 or 5 years, on Mars? So my reply was "yea I know" and she texts back with "Why are you always ahead of me?" This is the child that has shopped with me online and in stores since she was 13 and now she pays attention.
  9. 1. I've been shopping BF since I was 12 so that would be 28 years now. 2. I plan to spend about that same this year. 3. I plan to do a lot of the shopping online. 4. There are 7 people I will be shopping with. 5.I wish the stores had enough cashiers to handle the amount of shoppers.
  10. I think some of my best memories are having breakfast with my daughter after shopping. We spend half the night grabbing deals online, then run through half a dozen stores but we take our time and visit once we get to breakfast. But my favorite was 3 years ago at Gordmans. The line was so long and moving so slow, I was ready to say forget it and leave. We ended up being in line for almost and hour and a half. My daughter knowing me pretty well figured out I was getting annoyed and says I'll be right back. The next thing I know my 18 year old is wearing a weird animal hat and carrying an umbrella singing Mary Poppins songs. I'm assuming she was wanting the gifts in the cart that she knew were for her because she continued to sing and do stand up comedy the entire time we were in line. She randomly ran up and down the aisle and did infomercials on items she had no interest in. It was kind of crazy but hilarious. At one point I left her with the cart and ran for a restroom break, when I got back the lady behind me hugged me and said I just love your daughter, I'd have left an hour ago if it wasn't for her. She had half the line cracking up and everyone around us was in pretty good spirits when we left. The worst memory would have to be the first time I took my daughter BF shopping. She was 12, we went to NFM to get my husband a TV for Christmas. We didn't even get all the way inside the door. We got to the doorway and I grabbed her by the back of the coat to stop her from going in and we left. People climbed a stack of TV's and were trying to throw them to whomever was with them. I was afraid she'd get bashed in the head with one.
  11. http://www.amazon.com/icescreen-Magnetic-Windshield-Cover-Deluxe/dp/B00PKJL1JK/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1445551067&sr=8-17&keywords=icescreen I ordered these for my college kids. I thought it might make things easier this winter
  12. None, I've been trying to win one, but saving every dime for black Friday shopping. One of these years I'll get one.
