Thanks for posting this :) Are they the real Crocs brand? I'm hoping to get a 20% off coupon in the paper tomorrow and will check these out. Sometimes the Hallmark stores will do a 50% off of (real) Crocs-selected varieties but that makes them around $15. I'm in the market for some new navy blue ones!

IME,the electronics dept. is a nightmare! You know how it is always located at the furthest end of the store? Back in its own corner? It's nearly impossible to get a cart back there and the lines to even get in the dept. are looooong.Now,that's BF I'm talking about.Thanksgiving Day and Black Saturday are no problem if you get there early.As far as the DVD player goes,in the past,they have those stacked on pallets in the middle of the aisle before you get to the electronics dept (sometimes they are even in the middle of the aisles closer by the groceries).My advice is to park your cart farther away then walk to the area (like toys or electronics) and snag your prize.If you have a shopping buddy,it's even better.I've done all 3 days of Meijer's sales for years and those are the best tips I can think of right now.Oh,and even though the sale says it starts at "x"o'clock,you really can't get there early enough on BF!We got there one morning at 3:30 and it was already packed!Got everything I went for but the lines were crazy...checkout took like 45 minutes. (one last thing:if you don't get your DVD player on BF,check a different store on BS-you'd be surprised how one store sells out of one thing,but the others don't!) Good luck!

Since some stores will have good sales on Thanksgiving Day,you'll need the Wednesday paper for that.Also,when you get your Thursday paper,check to make sure all the ads are in the middle of the paper :)

I love Menards on Black Saturday-they still have plenty of the stuff I want (usually) and the place is practically deserted.I tried to go there one BF after I did Meijer and I saw the lines and walked right out (came back the next day tho).

That's good news-thanks for passing that tid-bit along! Having just seen the Target ad,I'm putting all my eggs in the Meijer basket (so to speak). I can't wait 'til Monday!

Last year on BF,I woke up to about 2 inches of snow on the ground only (not on the streets or driveways)---that was a most pleasant surprise! I hope that one chart was right: it predicted colder than normal and above average precip. for my area. I HAVE to have snow and cold or else I get S.A.D. lol

This is the ad I am looking forward to seeing most of all.I always go to Meijer on Thanksgiving Day although having seen the CVS ad,I think I'll stop at CVS first :). I keep checking my inbox looking for that email alert that says the Meijer ad is in!

Someone else mentioned this up thread,but going to the liquor store and getting those little bottles of liquor are a good way of trying something at a low cost. Other ideas: puzzle books (Sodoku,crossword,etc. pick 'em up at the Dollar Tree) trial/travel sized products (shaving cream,body wash etc.) lottery tickets beef jerky or Slim Jims little screwdrivers those hanging car deoderizers Gift certificates to car washes,movies,fast food places,etc. Really anything little found at the Dollar Tree stores :) I love filling stockings and enjoy the challenge of finding things for hubby and teenaged sons. Plus,we have BIG stockings so I can fit lots of goodies in there!

Usually on BF,Walgreens has their photo cards for something like .19/card (IIRC). I love WG's photo dept. and do all my uploads at home and pick them up at a store. Seems like there's a WG on every corner lol.
