I have a 10 yr. old and 7 yr. old and both had decided that they didn't believe. When they would ask I would always say "What do you think"? Well...we went to Pigeon Forge this summer and went to the Dixie Stampede show and we spotted a man who was a dead ringer for santa, I'm serious it didn't get anymore real than this guy. My kids went nuts, by a weird circumstance when we went into the arena he was seated on the aisle seat in our section. When my daughter went to the restroom I stopped and said to him my kids spotted you and said "look it's santa". He looked at me and said "could be" then handed me a business card with a picture of Mr. & Mrs. Clause. They will never forget that, it was priceless. We also stayed at the Incredible Christmas Place which if you're not familiar with is a wonderful beautiful Christmas themed hotel. They had a singing santa on some nights and santa's mailbox, which they said he will write back in December. I think they want to believe.

I personally think we will all be exposed to it at some point this winter. I also think that the stores are crowded all Christmas season not just on BF, and there will be other times when you are exposed. From what I understand the H1N1 virus is contagious before the person shows symptoms, so you could come in contact with it without even knowing the person is carrying it. I think that more than anything you need to stay rested and of course wash your hands very often. They have also said that unless your hand sanitizers contain alcohol they will not kill H1N1. Honestly, if it were me I think I would skip it just because I think it is utterly exhausting and when your body is tired it's less likely to fight off viruses. BTW, early intervention is key with this virus, my 10 yr. old is recovering from H1N1 at home. The doctor told us we did the right thing in getting him treated early. He is taking tamiflu and so far is recovering fine. If you feel sick don't wait.

Looking at the ad made me realize how big my kids are getting. There used to be so much I wanted to buy them from the book. Looking at it today kinda depressed me, they're getting too old for alot of what's in the book. Sorry don't mean to be a downer, lotsa good stuff just not what I'm in the market for this year.:)

OK...this isn't quite what you're looking for but it still makes me laugh today. I was shopping with my sister and a good friend who had recently died her brown hair auburn. When we were checking out at Meijer's the male clerk gave her extra santa bucks because he said he had a thing for red heads. My sister and I were standing there in shock (we're both blonde) and I spoke up and said that red comes out of a bottle. He didn't care where it came from tho. So...later that night we had returned to Meijer's different male clerk mind you, and was joking with him about not giving our friend extra discounts because of her red hair. We told the story to him and he said "Oh honey she doesn't affect me, I'm gay" and we all laughed. He went on to tell us that his family doesn't even know, and so on. He gave so much info my sister said Oh, I know your mom, I work with her. This poor man turned a thousand shades of white and said please don't tell my mom. It was such a funny day and still makes me laugh today.

I would watch Kohls.com for a good deal on Spike. It will go on sale when it gets closer to Christmas, and if you have a Kohls charge you can get an additional 30% when they have one of their scratch off sales. I got Buscuit Furreal Dog last year a whole lot cheaper than any other stores had it for. Also if memory serves me right you can stack discount codes and get free shipping too.

Does the big toy book ever get leaked before it is released?

Thanks for the replies. I was in the store today and the J bucks I got start 11-28, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. She said they're having a BF sale but aren't aware of what it will be. I get 40% coupons all the time, I got another one yesterday, so really 40% is the norm for me. I'm hoping for something bigger.

Hi all, new here...but been lurking for a while. I was just curious if anyone else was really disappointed with Target's Toy Book this year. Everything that I'm looking for this year is higher. I was just curious about everyone's take on it.
