  1. Well - I got that email yesterday saying they would refund me $7 of that $18 charge because they wouldn't reimburse the shipping. I emailed them (can't call while at work) and told them I expected them to refund the shipping as well, since they are the ones that recalled my package. A few hours later, I get an email back saying they will also refund the shipping, but that it will post separately to my credit card. I am bitterly disappointed with the way LB handled this. I've had great service in the past (though I did once get a pair of jeans shipped to me instead of a tank top I had ordered) but this was just horrible. I hope all y'all don't have to go through this.
  2. I thought so, too, but I guess not. Still waiting for the CS reply. They must be busy.
  3. I just need to vent so bear with me. I posted a $120 off $120 coupon a few weeks ago after I used it, but it wouldn't go through for anyone after I posted it. So I'm glad that NO ONE from GD used it! It's been a total drama ever since! I paid an extra $10 for 3 day shipping, so after the coupon, my total was $18. I was excited, LB shipped the items, and I tracked it for the 3 days. On the third day, I notice that UPS had a "return to sender pending" posted on it. At this point, the package is now 'out for delivery' from my local hub. So I email LB customer service since I can't call them (work was too busy and I was doing 11-hour days last week). CS says I should get the package 2-3 days from the 18th. I chalk it up to an error and wait excitedly for my package. The next day "return to sender processed" is posted on the tracking site. I call UPS, who tells me that Charming Shoppes (LB's parent company) had requested it be returned to them. Again, I email LB, who says I need to call customer service. So I call them and am told I used an invalid coupon and that they are taking back the items (after the CS rep swore when she picked up the phone!). I will be refunded the total ($18.80) after they check the package to make sure everything is still there, which will take time because they have "thousands of packages to check". She said I should have received an email telling me what had happened and why the package was coming back. Right. I got no such email. This morning, I get an email from LB saying I will only get back $7 because they won't refund the shipping. WTF?!?! The CS rep said I would get back all $18 since they requested the return. I just sent off an email to their CS asking for a refund for the entire amount since they intercepted my package before it was even delivered. I also filed a complaint with the BBB, primarily due to the shoddy customer service. I understand about the coupon, but the lack of communication from LB to me was just horrible. I'm also filing a dispute with my CC and will most likely never order online from LB in the future. The CS is just too horrible and rude.
  4. I agree. It's gotten to the point that I just delete the emails from my inbox without even reading them. OTX is the most annoying survey reader ever.
  5. I found it while browsing the Internet, but it looks like the LB management found out about it and shut it down before y'all could use it. I've been trying to find more and better codes so I can pass them on to the lovely GD'ers here. Got a work top, leggings, and 4 pairs of earrings for $18 shipped.

  8. This coupon code (776971939) will give you $120 off a $120 purchase, before tax and shipping. Doesn't work for items like Spanx. Not too sure how long it will last before the company fixes it, or they cancel our orders.
  9. Was $24, now $12. Choose in-store pickup for $0 shipping, otherwise is $9.95 for shipping. Use coupon code SWELCOME51218 (exp. 2/7) for $5 off $50. Print this coupon for $5 off $30 in-store (not sure if it would apply, but it's worth a shot, eh?) 10. I know it's a bit more than you'd like, but I found the 6-pod Aerogarden on MarketWarehouse's website. The website has great reviews and looks to be scam-free. Shipping over $100 is free, and you can substitute the gourmet herbs for any of the other varieties for free (except the salad super kit). Use the code "ebayt" to get another 10% off. I ended up buying mine for $134 shipped. I changed out herbs for salad greens, as I already have an Aerogarden with the gourmet herbs and have the tomato kit to plant in my new one. In regards to what wldfire68 wrote, it is a bit noisy. The pump and lighting systems run 15 hours/day. By plugging mine in at 5, I let it run all night and rest during the daytime, when the natural light hits it. The lights are crazy-bright, but if you keep the Aerogarden in a corner or let it act as a nightlight in the kitchen, you should be fine. My 3 roommates and I enjoy checking on the plants when we get home from work and are looking forward to our first harvest this weekend!
  11. Blue Planet also on sale, and they are selling the Blue Planet/Planet Earth set for 78.99.
  12. Like another poster said, check Craigslist. I found 15 sets of hurricane lamps from someone for only $50.
  13. That link is user-specific. I also received one in the mail, and it was specific for me as well. Best to remove the link. :-)
  14. You can try Blockbuster.com at this link They're running a deal - a black wireless 360 controller for $39.69. Enter the code "holidaysurprise" at checkout to get 30% off. You also get free shipping. It totals to less than $28. I'm pretty sure you need a Blockbuster online account to get the deal. Not 100% positive. :-)
  15. I, too, was having a problem with the 8-day survey. I gave up. SayNation is one of my biggest survey headaches right now.
  16. Go to this link to find all of Amazon's free music downloads (as of 3 December).
  17. Coffee, omelettes, corned beef hash, and whatever else we find in the kitchen. Dad usually bought doughnuts from Kroger the night before as well. This Christmas is at my parent's house (4 couples, a dog, and 3 grandbabies) and I plan on making a sausage and veggie quiche with some French Toast Casserole before everyone wakes up. Kind of a thank-you for my parents.
  18. We set a limit of $125 this year. I got him tickets to Jeff Dunham's show on Jan. 2nd and dinner (haven't picked a restaurant yet). He probably got me some random items from the outlet centers around here. I REALLY want an engagement. Not a ring (though a toy one would be fun), but the question. It costs nothing now but has immediate and long-lasting benefits!! :-D
  19. Just as an FYI, you need to spend around double what the coupon/gift card is worth if you plan on using the gift card (i.e. spend $50 to use the $25 GC). There are strings attached so be sure to read the fine print when you order!
  20. We're doing a Secret Santa exchange with my immediate family. The total cost for gift(s) is $150.00. But buying for one instead of 6? Awesome! I have my older brother and bought him: 2 Carcassonne game expansion packs 6-7 Definitely Dinosaurs from the 1980's (including the Ultrasaurus!!!!!, which I won on eBay!!!) A Celtic sign with our family name on Boyfriend: Tickets to the Jeff Dunham show in January Dinner at Ray's the Steaks, if possible Niece Kaitlynn, 4: Box full of dress-up clothes, which I am picking up randomly Nephew Ryan, 1: Baby toys? Niece Eryn, 6 mos: Name tags for her baby bottles (S-I-L asked for this) Boyfriend's sis: Making her a pearl necklace and matching earrings and bracelet Boyfriend's mom: No idea. I'm getting the bf's help on this one. That's it! Short list!!!
