I was going to announce that I've sold the black Friday product charts to another deal finding corporate entity and they will henceforth be cancelled but I'm not mean enough to pull a prank like that. Yesterday I finally got one of the rebate cards owed to me from what I purchased on black Friday! One down, three to go!

Week before last we had highs in the 70's and lows in the 50's. Last week was highs in the 50's and lows in the mid 30's. This week's expected highs in the 80's and lows in the 50's. Go home, winter. You're drunk.

Antenna for a HDTV, that's what I meant Most folks I know just call them digital antennas even though, technically speaking, that's an incorrect statement. I'm old so when I think 'antennas'' I remember the old rabbit ears that come out of the back of square tube TVs with tin foil on them to try to improve the reception. Not sure of the exact make and model (I threw away the box) but it took a few tries to find the right one that worked in my particular location and right where I wanted to put it. Last I checked I get just over 40 channels, most of which I never watch. The only over-the-air TV I ever enjoy are CBS (morning news as well as my game shows), BUZZR (classic game shows but mostly the same two over and over), and COMET (my jam for classic sci-fi shows and cheezy 60-70's movies). My old roommates are keeping the Dish account in my name active. When I moved out I made them agree \that if they kept paying the bill on time I wouldn't cancel it. They've been paying ever since. Funny thing is I can still access all the shows on the account online on my PC or through their app. So when I need to get my fix of Dr. Who on BBC One, I can!

I 'cut the cable' a long time ago and have been enjoying TV using a digital antenna. Get one with good reception and you'll get all the local channels and even some specialty ones. I only things I really pay for are my WWE Network, Netflix, and CBS all access. I've been enjoying Star Trek: Discovery and have started to binge every episode of Trek's Animated Series from back in the days.

Hello February and hello record temps in Phoenix. Ugh! I wanna move back to the California coast. Maybe it's time to pull up apartment finders and look up plane tickets before temps hit the triple digits.

I had to turn off my heater and go back to cool AC yesterday. Umm... I'll shut up for another month now...

Just checkin' in on my brand spankin' fresh newly built Black Friday desktop. 27" 1ms monitor with a 19" on the side (so I can see what I'm doin', ya know), Ryzen 1700X octa-copre processor (cuz I have a need for speed), 16 GB of memory (well, cuz I tend to forget things), a sweet 250 GB solid state drive (I'm impatient when it comes to boot times), and a 5.1 channel surround sound speaker system (cuz I like to feel my media). And the holidays are right around the corner so my case is my lighted Christmas tree with internal RGB lighting! Just waiting for a Geforce 1080 graphics card so I can catch up on a decade or two of gaming. Sweet ride

Time to see who snoozed and losed. Oh, and I'll see everyone in about two months
