Well the stuff I returned was brand new. A couple plush toys and some the Easter toys NOTHING wrong with it! I remember seeing a sticker like that when I returned a sewing machine I had gotten at 50% and later found at 75% off. new unopened! To think they do that makes me cringe at returning things....and the whole buy at 50% off and find same item at 75% and return the 50% off item. I feel absolutely miserable right now :(

Got a question for everyone to verify what a Target associate told me... I was returning some items and when the person scanned it, she had to put a green sticker on each of the items. When I asked her what the sticker was for, she said that means Target won't allow it to be resold anymore and basically it is thrown out. She also pointed out a bunch of other stuff on a big flatbed cart that also would be thrown out. I asked if Target will allow its employees to take them or will Target donate them? She replied that Target will not give it to anyone for fear of being sued if someone got hurt from the item. All the stuff will get squashed with a compactor before going to the sanitation, so people cannot even scope out the trash area for goodies. I was astounded and she said that usually Target employees don't tell customers unless they ask. She even concurred how upsetting it is since there are tons of ppl that would be grateful for anything. She said it's even more upsetting when they do that with food! IS THIS REALLY TRUE??? If so, it makes me think twice about buying or returning anything in the future. I'm so upset by it now. Please tell me she was either mis-informed or she was just pulling my chain since today is April Fool's Day! ---- Btw, I was at Westbury, NY Target today and Easter was totally gone. Even the Dollar spot was pretty wiped clean. And no good clearance deals at all. One of the worst deals stores I've been to in a while. I walked out without buying a SINGLE thing! And that's rare!!!

Thanks all for the heads up re Easter 75% off! I went tonight and managed to get a bunch of the plush flowers for 25 cents each!!! woohoo. Now I have a big fat bouquet that I know a friend of mine will love. I also picked up some of the plush animals at 25 cents each (they had cow, hippo, elephant, cat, dog, lion). And thanks for the heads up on the AA batteries 4-pack. At 25 cents a pack, it's a steal! Now if only they had Easter 90% off... *dreams* lovetoshopCA, thanks for answering my question re St. Patty's going 90%. At least know I don't have to keep checking back since I got all the stuff I need at 75% off. For the person who was asking about MONKIES, I found some really cute stuff today while I was perusing. Nothing on sale per se, since it seems like new products for the Spring. But eventually it will go on sale right? Here's some pics. The doormat is $9.99, the bedding is $39.99 I think. Not sure about the other knicks&knacks. Less than $10 each I think.

Thanks! The night lights are indeed the cutest ever! Too bad there was only one left by the time I got around there. It was in one of those inconspicuous corners so no one noticed I guess. There was an empty slot holder for the Speed Racer cards, and it was in the greeting cards section so I guess ppl grabbed that quick. I have a question about Mark Downs. If there's a clearance orange sticker stating the price of the item, when it is marked down further, why does a mark down team member have to scan it as opposed to it should show up automatically with the new lower price when you go to the cashier? Is it because the mark down team member has to enter it in the system first? Excuse me if it's a stupid question! Thanks!

Not much of a snob material cuz doesn't she know anything about all the people that line up for when Target gets big name designers to do a "fashion line" and people go wait on line early to grab all the clothes? LOL I can so imagine that "deer in headlights" look. They don't understand it, but at least your DH doesn't question it. But I think you rock! I've tried telling my friends and none of them understand either.
