  1. If anyone heads over to Target food section, will you kindly check & post if the Lay's Potato Chips Family Size (16oz approx) is still on sale for $3.50. I saw it last week and haven't had a chance to check this week. TIA! For anyone else who's buying those, there's a Target Coupon for $1 off. I forgot last week and just saw it today and am *kicking* myself :? Also noticed the Nice 'n Easy Perfect 10 is $13.69 in Riverdale, NYC location... not $11.99 as others have seen and posted. I hate NYC super inflation.
  2. Unless things have changed, Target does 14-day price adjustments. Now if the item was originally clearanced already, and the price dropped even lower...then no. Can anyone else confirm and update what I assumed is the current Target policy? As for your dvd, try to go to another store or a different time when that manager is not there. See if different person at Customer Service will be more amicable. Good luck!
  3. So thanks to everyone's help, I went to Target today in Riverdale and tried to do the Perfect 10 deal. I only had a $2 off coupon. I went on line and bought one with it, and for some reason the coupon wasn't coming up on the system. The cashier just did a K1 to accept it anyway and I got my $5 giftcard. Went back on line and did it again with a 2nd box - $2 coupon, and same issue with coupon! This time a different cashier, she went on and on about how maybe the coupon wasn't supposed to work since I was getting a GC already out of the deal! I told her that I know others have successfully used the coupon and in fact I had no problems in a prior purchase. I said the other cashier did a "K1" to accept the coupon. She went off at me on how only managers can press "K1" and she isn't allowed to and I AM GETTING A $5 GC!!! And then she went on to say how SHE CAN READ. I'm like...umm..I was just telling you what happened last time. She kept bringing up about the $5 GC. Seemed like she just couldn't stand I was getting something already and wanted another $2 off. She finally just pressed "K1" and gave it to me, but still kept going on and on after the transaction was done. What a .... Just wondering if anyone else had any problems with their $2 coupon at the register. So after that, I used the second GC to get a pack of $3.50 sale family size Lays Potato Chips ..needed some comfort food after that lecture!!!
  4. Has anyone else been able to use this deal for Perfect 10 recently? I'd like to go this week and don't want to buy it for full price TIA!
  5. For the KitchenAid clearance, are there any mixers? Mine died during the Christmas baking and I'd love to get a good sturdy one for this upcoming year. TIA!
  6. It was on afullcup.com but it's expired already. YMMV if you do try to use it :?
  7. For those of you that still want to try this deal and do the following if you run into trouble: 1) Bring ad or go to kmart.com and print out the first page ad on there. 2) It's ANY General Mills cereal as long as it fits within the 8.5oz - x.x oz (I forget exact #). Most GM cereals would apply. 3) If it rings up original non-sale price, tell them it is on sale for $2.50 (which is ALSO stated on the flyer). The cashier or manager will need to manually override the original price and punch in the sale price of $2.50. 4) If you buy 4 boxes of cereal, the system WILL automatically deduct $4. $2.50/box x 4 boxes = $10.00 - $4 auto-deduct = $6.00 5) If you have any Q's, then it will make your purchase $6 - Q. The common issue seems that since the flyer states it is on sale for $1.50/box, that's what the manager punches in to override the regular price, but then after the auto deduct of $4 for buying 4 boxes, the final cost becomes $2, which then the manager goes bonkers and refuses to sell the items etc. OF COURSE if someone READ the flyer, then they'd realize the sale price is $2.50, not $1.50 per box! Hope that helps someone...I had to learn it all the hard way sadly. Thx for all who sympathized with my earlier rant Of course all this is stated on the flyer, but alas that'd be too easy right? :)
  8. Went to K-Mart and got reminded of why I do not like going there. Found the cereal without a problem (3 boxes 8.7oz Kix & 1 box Cinnamon Crisps 18oz(?)). Some of the boxes seemed a bit damaged, but managed to find a few ok looking ones. Btw, for those who stocked up on this deal, you may want to check your cereal's expiration date, because I noticed a few were not too far in the future! The nightmare began when I was at checkout. First no one knew about the sale, despite it being on the FIRST page of the flyer. All 4 boxes scanned regular price. Wanted me to pay almost $13!!! Thank goodness another lady had a copy of the flyer and then the cashiers had to void the entire transaction, which required a manager. Manager didn't even know about the sale and requested flyer proof! After that, he manually adjusted each to $1.50, but then the system would automatically deduct $4, making it $2 total sale. Of course he wouldn't give me for that price, so he had to go "research." The line I was on and the line the other lady shopper was on BOTH had to redirect other customers to other lines. Ended up waiting 20+min and having the both the manager and another manager confer and then they argued that it was on "selected" cereals, only the ones in the picture. I told them that other K-marts allowed any General Mills cereal. More conferring and then comes back and says that he was supposed to change the price to sale price $2.50, which was ON THE FLYER in small print! I understood it immediately as soon as got the chance to read the flyer while managers were conferring. Long story short, I got my cereal and really felt I should have gotten them for $2 total for my total time wasted. I should have walked away in the beginning, but I had taken a trip all the way there just for the cereals. Honestly I've seen better deals for Kix, but as for the other cereals that have 15oz or more, it is a good deal when you have the Q's. As I didn't have any, it was about the same price I'd have gotten if I went to Walmart (which runs better than K-mart). TIA for reading my rant :) And thanks for the info re the Q's & info dantegirl!
  9. You should have no problem returning the stereo etc. at all. Even at that price. To minimize any questions or possible concerns by the customer service desk, just don't open the one you will be returning. And just tell them your friend or yourself decided it wasn't the right item. That's all :) Good LUCK!
  10. Forgive me if this is a stupid question, where did you get the $1 Q? I know someone mentioned Sunday's paper (which I didn't pick up)....so is there an online site where I can print from possibly? Would this cereal deal apply towards Kix too? TIA!
  11. AWW Why don't you just return it and go and rebuy with new coupons :)
  12. There's Q's for Scotch Brite tub and tile scrubber starter kit $5 off and $2 off refill. Also the Scotch Brite toilet scrubber starter kit FREE (up to $4.99) and $1.50 off refill. I still have not seen any Scotch Brites toilet starter kits for $4.99 Any help? Not sure if I'm allowed to put in a link to a non-Target coupon, so any one interested can PM me or if it's ok, I will make another post with link.
  13. How do you know how many of the coupons to print out? esp when you got 32 of an item? I can never print out what's an optimal # to print for each coupon. Any suggestions? TIA!:)
  14. I haven't used that program for NICK, but I do use it for converting to play videos on my PDA. It works flawlessly and comes out great. So in general the program works well, don't know if you'd be happy with using it for NICK. If you are interested, you should contact them directly with your questions :)
  15. Something I learned today about using coupons and cashier having problems scanning them. If you write down the #s on the coupon's UPC bar code under the coupon, then when the cashier cannot scan it, it is very easy for them to manually enter it. I've found that it is easier than them trying to read the small UPC bar code #s and oftentimes a mistake is made and then the coupon won't get accepted. I started doing that recently and haven't had any more coupon acceptance problems Got some great deals today: 2x 28oz Malt-O-Meal Marshmallow Mateys Cereal $2.69 -$1 MQ = $1.69 1x Neutrogena Wave Refill Pads 30ct $6.99 - $3 MQ = $3.99 1x Scotchbrite Toilet cleaner $5.99 - FREE MQ = $0.00 (Well I did have to pay tax on $5.99) 2 things: 1) Has anyone used the Neutrogena Wave and have found it EXTREMELY difficult to get Refill pads @ Target? I only seen them ONCE! Also, how has the Wave worked out for you? 2) The "Free" MQ for Scotchbrite Toilet cleaner is actually only valid up to $4.99, but the Target cashier didn't read the fine details and took off the cost for the whole thing ($5.99)!
  16. OH NO! I hope you were able to go back and get them ...and no one took them all! btw, great deals you found! :)
  17. I am talking about the NY one in the Bronx. Sorry for any confusion!
  18. Thanks for the tips! I've found that the farther from main thoroughfare traffic, the better you have a chance. Also, Riverdale is very very difficult to hide anything because so many ppl around. I feel like I am being watched from all sides!!!
  19. Not that great because it is near a big housing complex area and also right by the subway; so therefore lots of ppl all the time there. From my observations between NYC Targets (Riverdale, Queens, Brooklyn) & NJ Targets, I would say I get much better deals in NJ! Sadly since I rely on others to carpool to NJ, I don't get to enjoy those deals as much as I would like. So you are definitely not missing out on much by passing Riverdale Target by and driving on! :) If you do stop by there, free parking, which is rare here LOL! Not to abuse it, but if you had a few errands to run in the city during the day, you might be able to leave your car there and then hop on the subway and come back later...DON'T take my word for it though since I've yet to try it! What stores in NJ have the best deals in your opinion? I promise I won't steal your deals since I *rarely* get to NJ these days...esp the toll hikes..
  20. That's HORRIBLE! First time I've heard that. Generally, the stores I go to (on East coast) have been overall very considerate of returns. Sorry you are having that type of trouble. Update on the Green Sticker issue: I went to another Target (Riverdale,NYC) and asked a manager today regarding returns and being destroyed. He told me that they donate foods to City Harvest. YAY!!! And they also donate non-food items as well to several local charities here. He told me that Green stickers mean donation, Red stickers mean destroy. He said, "For example if Bounty towels package is opened, they cannot donate because if there's a chemical that was absorbed, it could hurt someone." Perhaps each Target is different in how it handles returns. Or maybe the associate in Westbury, NY was misinformed. If I find out any more info, I'll keep everyone posted. It's a really sweet deal to be able to return items bought at 50% off when we find them at 75% off. But I would feel really guilty if I knew what I was returning was going to be destroyed. I could barely sleep last night. Probably I'm being silly? :? I would hate for us all to get great deals but end up creating more waste. On a sale note...for anyone who has the Neutrogena Wave, has anyone else noticed that very few places stock the pad refills? If you can find one, then there's a $3 off coupon at Neutrogena website. $6.99-$3MQ=3.99. I managed to stumble upon 2 and hid them thanks to everyone's help! Malt-O-Meal cereal medium sized bags are $2.69 but few selections left. There's a $1 MQ off too..which makes it cheaper than any other place I've looked at. No more Easter stuff either. I'm glad I got what I could at 75% instead of trying to wait for 90% off.
  21. That's just horrible. That's part of the reason why we have such a economic class division. When corporations who can lend a hand just throw things out, that's just wrong. Perfectly good things. Worse is when they rather throw it out than say sell it for 1 cent or something ridiculous. Sigh...just depressing. I will think twice before I do a return again anytime soon. And here all along I thought Target just donates all the stuff to Goodwill to sell, since some of you all mentioned seeing the same stuff at Goodwill. :/
