yes, but you can always put a "reserve" price on it, so you dont have to sell it for less than the reserve price that you are willing to take for it. so you can start it at .99 but have a $40 reserve price on it for example.. it costs more to put a reserve price on it tho. I am just going for it and hoping.. for the most part i have good success with .99 listings.
