You worded that so well HansieDZ, "I love the gray skies, the bare branches of the trees, the smell of woodsmoke from fireplaces in the air, seeing your breath in the air....all of it! It's hard to contain my joy and excitement right about now!" and my husband would kill me too if the tree/inside decorations went up now...I did it once or twice like five days before thanksgiving and he gave me alot of grief about it. That's why I come on here to be with "like-minded" happy christmas-obsessed folk

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2010

Oh goodness, THANKS, duh for me, I guess I always clicked on newest posts... *crawling under rock* -
ok, excuse a possible dumb question from an "over 40" person here, but I have never had an itune card/bought one. Can you use it to buy from itune site and load onto a NON-MAC computer and a NON-Apple Mp3 ??? thanks:blush:

It seems to me Walmart sticks with the 2 for 30$ with their online specials in Nov. and Dec. I found games on Amazon last year that were like 10.oo cheaper than anywhere else, but the 10 off still didn't bring them down to 10.oo... I have never gotten a game for Wii that my kids have liked for 10 dollars. Not being snobby or anything it is just there are many "bad" wii games out there, some shouldn't even be on wii, because they don't really make the kids move at all (which is why we got the wii, to be honest) but I can tell you there are about 5 or 6 wii games we have that my kids have played maybe 10 times total, that I will likely take to gamestop to sell for credit there. You might be better off just going to gamestop and buying some "hot" titles used. I have done that many times and we were very happy with them. Just my humble opinion, hth.

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2010
allshoppedout replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Is there anyone who knows, or maybe a page to refer me to, as to when Target does markdowns on certain departments? I am interested in 50% or more off on items like housewares, clothes, food, dollar spot and electronics. Are different departments different days? or is it like 75% off day is 75% off in every dept., etc. (I have read many pages at various times on this thread but I can't see to figure out the schedule. It'd be greatly appreciated if someone could just give me a rough idea... I seem to go back often, trying to get something the most off, but eventually I grow tired of stopping back and then I come on here or someone tells me they got something 75% off I was searching for...) -
Hope I am posting this in the right place--I was watching Good Morning America and heard that if you friend the GAP on facebook you can get a pair of jeans free. just found this online: Gap is giving away 10,000 pairs of jeans on November 5 in a one-day US event centered around the Facebook location feature, Facebook Places, which lets users "check in" on their mobile phones to let their friends know what they're doing and where they're hanging out. Once users "check in" somewhere, their location will be broadcasted on their Facebook wall and their friends' News Feed. Starting at the time of store opening at 10 a.m. EST this Friday, Gap will offer one free pair of its basic five-pocket jeans to the first people who visit a men's or women's Gap store in the US and "check in" via Facebook Places while they're there. The offer is not valid at GapKids, babyGap, GapBody, Gap Outlet, Gap Factory Store, The Gap Generation stores, or online. People who do "check in" at a Gap location but miss the cutoff will receive a coupon for 40 percent off any regularly-priced item in the store. To find out more about the Gap free jeans event visit: http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=159056334132258&index=1

Kicking myself in the head...I SHOULD'VE put the outside decorations up yesterday...it is SO cold and damp--rained most of the time, the day went from dark grey, to medium grey, to dark grey again--since 2 o'clock...it couldn't be anymore depressing here. I was cold all day, I feel like I am 100 yr old. If DH wasn't a Scrooge I would have gotten the inside decorations down from the attic and started them. GOOD GRIEF

Anyone know Is there any way to easily look up animated/younger kids specials/movies that may be on various other stations thru the month of December ? Like a "master" program guide? THANKS

For me it indoor is usually the weekend before or weekend of black Friday. I have a scrooge here...well most of the time...about them being up early but he comes from a long line of procrastinators. 'Nuff said. TODAY would have been an IDEAL day to do outdoor decorations--but I had other plans, so I have to hope for another really sunny & warm day before Turkey day, to get it done.

Thanks, new store opened near me!

How many years have you been Black Friday-ing it?
allshoppedout replied to ChristmasShopping's topic in 2010
Going about it as a serious mission--6 years...before that was not armed with notebooks/all ads/cell phones... -
Thanks, I guess I haven't gotten any coupons in mail because I haven't made a recent purchase--well either that or my not-so-nice mailman is keeping a few--I always get sale ads late.

(redraccoon, I guess if your lights don't seem to fade in the desert sun, then I might be ok, I remember reading once that the LED ones are not "supposed to fade" that the color is inside, not on the bulb cover thing, but it look like the cover was colored to me in the store...thanks) As far as the color goes, it seems like they have improved the white/clear and it looks less blue then I have seen in previous years...I don't know if they look different outside in the dark, but in Target on display the lights looked very bright and nice and were not hot at all, which is great...maybe I would not like them in the dark...if they would light a tree up in the store on display I could get a better idea, it would be all over the tree, not just a tiny sample.. Thanks everyone for your input, and I look forward to more comments... I don't want to buy them and not like them, they are a good bit more expensive than typical lights, but it would be worth it if they last longer/don't fade

That's very nice (but I got a different one from them) -
In my area, I am having trouble finding Glade Products in my Targets. I keep getting coupons, but I run to Target and they have Airwick and or Febreeze Products. What is up with that... today I looked all over the store, I found the HOLIDAY scented candles--only 2 scents near the registers. I found NO Holiday plug ins, sense n spray or room spray cans..in the usual place/near dishwashing products/cleaning products...and no empty places for them either... anyone else experiencing this? I asked an associate walking by -they had no explanation.

Some of my lights died last Christmas and I was thinking of replacing (gradually) with electric LED lights for OUTDOORS. If you own them and could answer any or all of the questions below it would help me a great deal 1-where did you find the best deal? 2-Did you notice the multicolor ones fading? (Front of my house gets TONS of sun and my red bows turn "orange" in just 2 Christmases...and in the past I've had my regular multi sets get discolored in 1-2 Christmas Seasons..they look PASTEL like Easter lights!) 3-Do you seem to use LESS sets because they are brighter? (making the expensiveness of them kind of balance out..) 4-Do you notice any savings on your electric bill because you used them? 5-Do you prefer the appearance of the round shaped or cone? Thanks a bunch
