  1. I'm soo glad you got the doll. Is it in good condition? You should let the delivery company know about this.

I hope she has fun on her birthday!

At the Barnes and Noble and the Borders bookstore near me they had a few Mini Doll and Book Sets. They are really cute! They are about $20, but might be cute for Valentines Day or Easter.

  2. My store just went to 30%. I was there last night and somebody bought something and it scannned regular price and they called someone and they said yes it was 30 off, and the cashiers were talking amongst themselves that they didn't know it went down already.

I wish they would inform the cashiers better. I know the downside could be that they might buy it first, but the upside is that I wouldn't have to argue with the cashier or have to go to CS and have them refund my money.

  3. I forgot to mention earlier, but my DH saw the HD Tivo I belive orig price was $249 It was a display, did't have any manuals, cords or remote and they still wanted FULL PRICE! My husband heard this and started laughing. I said later "I can't belive you laughed" and he said "I couldn't help it I tried not too and tried to stop I swear"
  4. :D

I've had Prime since last year. Started out with a free trial and I forgot to cancel.....and I'm soooooo glad I did. I do tons of shopping at Amazon and the free 2-day shipping is awesome. The $3.99 for 1-day is great too for last minute stuff. I found tons of stuff that was under $25, besides, I'm impatient, I like that my stuff gets here FAST.

I also like that I can share it with up to 4 people, it brings the total cost of having Prime down to $20 a year for each of us.

I did so much Christmas shopping through Amazon last year, my UPS guy and I were not only on a first name basis, every time I was expecting him I made him some hot chocolate!

I will have to look into sharing an account, I didn't realize you could do this. :yup:

I bet your UPS guy really appreciated the hot chocolate! If you order a bunch during the summer you can make him lemonade

  5. Are you able to lock them? I worry about our friendly neigborhood wildlife sneaking in.

Last winter my neighbors cat got locked out of his house by their cat sitter (not a very good cat sitter apparently) on a very cold night. So he decides to go into our other neighbors home through their Chows doggie door:D They discovered him curled between them on their bed in the morning.:rotflol:

  6. When we moved from Ohio to Colorado we saved money by packing our own stuff.

Also make sure to label your boxes clearly and check the boxes in when they are delivered. The companies will put small stickers on your boxes, but I prefer to write in large letters and numbers with a thick permanent marker in a bright color like red. If I have 50 boxes I number them, 1 of 50, 2 of 50......47 of 50 and so on. I also designate the room for the box and have a list to check off the boxes. It is soo much easier to see if a box is missing this way.

I'm not sure of any deals, but most companies will come out and give you a free estimate. Make appointments with a few different companies and see how they differ.
