  1. I went to more stores after going to Kmart on Thanksgiving day and picked up some additional items. My sister said that Wal-Mart was nearly empty this morning. Guess they did not have that good of a deal. They also did not have the advertised toaster price ($3.99) that was shown on the online ad. Maybe the company has a varying price policy for their stores? CVS - Softsoap body wash (free after CVS savings bucks), Hershey's dark chocolate (free after CVS savings bucks), Colgate toothpaste (free after CVS savings bucks), Ferrero Rocher candy($1.99) Target - $10 stick vacuum, $35 Dirt Devil vacuum, $4.50 toaster Staples - Zenith Universal remote (free after rebate) I also stopped by the Giant supermarket and it was very quiet there. Guess no one is interested in shopping for food at that time.
  2. The picture ad doesn't say that it does, so I would guess no, but best to check the box description.
  3. I wondered about the price match (or adjusting) that some have used to lower the price of an item that will be on sale during BF. If everyone did this for limited supply items before BF, all of the stores would have nothing in the inventory on the BF day with a line of purchasers requesting a discount of what they bought before BF. Even though I am sure that most stores will follow their refunds and price adjustment policies throughout the year, if this trend spreads and repeats itself every BF, a lot of people will be waiting in line for nothing at stores with little to no inventory and I am sure that the company policy regarding price matching could be amended in the future.
  4. Wal-Mart might start offering their sales starting at the same time when the stores open. But not sure if the items will be the same as the stores. Here is a list of what you can order online right now. http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/Online What got me annoyed is Target that started to sell a LCD TV starting on Wednesday AM and were sold out in a few hours. So if you want one, you have to wait in line at a store now.

    TV's Polaroid

Wal-Mart incorrectly linked the LCD TV DVD combo model to this deal for $448. Wal-Mart made a deal with Polaroid to manufacture this "new" model that is described on this link that DOES NOT have a DVD player. Circuit City's Element 32" LCD TV ($399.99 Black Friday deal) is also made by Polaroid. However, that model has a contrast ratio of 1200:1 versus 1000:1 for this model. The model number is TLX-03210B. http://www.polaroid.com/global/detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441767419&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302031789&bmUID=1195781987311&bmLocale=en_US
  6. The Element 32" LCD TV being offered at Circuit City is also a Polaroid rebrand. However that model has a 1200:1 contrast ratio. Not sure why the Wal-Mart model has a lower one (maybe due to the cheaper specifications that the manufacturer specified to produce them for Wal-Mart's production cost per unit?). Here is the Polaroid link for the product description. They offer two other 32" models that are better than this model. The model number is TLX-03210B. http://www.polaroid.com/global/detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441767419&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302031789&bmUID=1195781987311&bmLocale=en_US
  7. Kmart - Olevia 32" LCD TV. I needed to get a replacement for the tube set that was starting to malfunction (audio kept going off and on). Thanks for providing the sales information for so many stores on this website. I was able to get early bird information more faster and get a good deal too.
  8. I was able to get one of the 32" LCD TVs this morning. There was a line at the store but not that many people. They handed out tickets and I was close to the end of the number that they handed out. :) There was a mad rush to grab the boxes that they stacked outside the electronics department. They were all gone when I got there, but luckily a store clerk got a couple of boxes from the warehouse and I was the next to last to get one. They were checking on people when they went to the register to see if they got the ticket. When the clerk gave me the box, he took my ticket. When the cashier asked the manager about my situation, he said "I remember you when I was passing out the tickets" and he said it was OK for me to buy it. Have to remember next time to just get up and just put on some warm clothes and get to the store ASAP. Also, would help if you make yourself more "visible" in the crowd so that the store workers will "remember" you. Otherwise, it would have been a wasted trip. Glad Kmart is not as popular as Wal-Mart, Best Buy and Circuit City.
  9. I need to buy a new TV so guess I will be in line early today. Glad I am only five minutes from the Kmart store.
  10. I need a new TV. My old Toshiba tube set's audio keeps going off and on after having been used for 13 years. Guess it is time to get a new one.
