  1. I feel so alone here in Central MD (Ellicott City). Anyone on here from this area? Anyone at all? I need a Target sales heads-up buddy! :)

you and me both! I have seen no one else that shops in central Alabama! I use to go to the target off 280 but that was a 45 minute drive for me until the new one opened up in alabaster, al and now its only 20 minutes! I always rely on posters here to say what they find and when things go a certain % off, then i either call or drive up there!

  2. I went to my local target this morning and got there at about 9am. they were marking things down and it was all 90% off! I got:

a sprite(needed to replenish during shopping, lol)

    a lil bratz ornament ~ .49 cents

5 little sprouts cabbage patch kids @ 99 cents a piece

6 ft tree for my sister ~ 1.99

    2 multi-pack gift boxes ~ .39 cents a piece

1 pack each of clear SOLO red and green holiday plates ~ for .24 cents each

Diamond silverware, 5 packs for .24 cents a pack

Trouble "just in case" game for $1.99, found in with regular toys but thanks to GD, knew it would be on clearance, lol.

Pot of Gold candy for .59 cents a box, bought 6

Philips stay lit lights, clear for .79 cents a box, bought 8

2 packages of Starbucks winter blend coffee, .74 cents each

and a few other things for .24 cents each.

my total was $28.00 and i had a cart full! I actually had to carry some bags in my hands while getting out to my car, lol.

also the other day i found a Rival oven roaster for $8.74, 75% off. This is a xmas gift for my sister for next year. since she doesnt have the use of an oven and therefore cant cook anything in the oven, this will be great for her since it looks like it can just be plugged in and has the heat temps on the front of the roaster.

  3. I know there have been threads about Kirby vaccums, but i didnt see one about the sentria.

I had a demonstration in my home yesterday and i cant get them little discs with all the dirt out of my mind, lol. It came with a huge amount of attachments. The final price they offered us was $1500 but I think i might be able to get them lower, but i know NOTHING about kirby vaccums. my SIL has one and I want to talk to her about hers, but i am so busy these days, i cant find the time.

I have been reading a lot of reviews at www.eopinions.com and most if not all say that its a good vaccum and worth the money. Anyone here give me some reviews? They offered us $80 down/$60 a month. They would give me the vaccum now and not make a first payment until March. I have never had a solicitation or demonstration in my house before so i am wondering what others have done in the past.

I told the salesman that I have to talk to my DH about such big purchases(which i do anyways) and he seemed to be ok with that, packed up his stuff, gave me his card and left.

    thanks to any opinions!

  4. this is the first year that my DD will give gifts to her friends, but she only has 2 that she is giving too. They are 2 little girls that she goes to gymnastics with that she has fun being around and their moms and I talk the whole 45 minutes they are in gymnastics, lol. we talk about family, friends, DH's, and anything really. I also picked up somethign small for them for xmas.
  5. this year we will be in washington DC for xmas eve, so we are planning on driving around seeing the sights DC has to offer. This is also my birthday along with my SIL's bday(who we will be visiting) so we will all go out to dinner. Then back to her place and watch xmas movies, bake cookies for santa, let the kids open their xmas pjs, then send the kids to bed.

It should be hectic and fun.

  6. I was just going to mention that QVC had some on yesterday. try going to QVC.com and searching for D&B. My birthday is coming up and while i have never bought more than a $10 handbag/purse from walmart, i am trying really hard to buy myself something, i just have a hard time spending money on myself, but this handbag might be it, lol.
  7. Scratch off lottery tickets, its easy.... put inside a Christmas card (get a box at the Dollar Tree).... attach candy cane or any other type of candy to the front of the envelope.... and your done!!! Put card in a pretty Christmas basket and use for center piece.

Purchase several small gifts 2-6 and randomly put a card inside the Christmas card that they have won. Use Christmas decorations candles, basket etc as the winning gifts.

This would make it fun, and cut way down on the work load.

i really like the scratch off ticket idea but one problem........ we dont have them in alabama! Its one thing i miss about living in missouri.
