1. I finally got my order to go thru this morning.! I gave up last night because their site was so slow. Great deal
2. I went to Walmart today to get some milk and I was surprised at the amount of stuff they had left. The had tons of fleece in all sizes for the whole family. The also had a lot of the 4 dollar pj and the mens sleep wear. The middle of the store was filled with black friday stuff still on those red bins
3. Mind did not have the bubble coats and had very few DS games.
4. Love reading this thread! Work up Thursday morning around 8:30. Headed to store to pick up paper. (Normally would have gotten paper by 6:00 am, but had late night). I came here to find out what was available on line. Ordered most of Khols stuff on line and used 20% off coupon posted here which was a better deal than if I would have went to store because I only had a 15% off coupon. Ordered everything I needed except the cusinart and the barbies, which were not on line. I then went to Old Navy on a whim around 9:30. Store had maybe 20 people. I don't have an ON card, but everything that I wanted with the exception of the kids $15 coat was already on sale and I broke up my order and used two 10 off of $50 coupons that were in the paper. I had two get in line twice, but it only took about 10 mins. Fast forward to Thursday night. My girlfriend, along with her husband and son and daughter arrived at my house around 10:30 pm. My husband had baby sitting duty for the two 7 yr olds. The closet WM to me is in MD, but I live in DE, which has no sale tax. We decided to start at the 1 in MD, since for the stuff that went on sale at Midnight were the small ticket items, but we were okay paying sales tax on that, because they live in MD and would have paid sales tax anyway if they stayed at home and shopped. We got there around 11 people were already allowed to shop for the midnight items, but had to wait until 12 to pay. We were able to get pretty much everything we went for. The pj, small kitchen electronics, DVD etc. The only thing that was limited was the games for the DSI. Although they still have a few left most weren't ones for little girls, but we did get a few, we were done by 12:30 at WM, no long lines for problems!. Then we handed to Old Navy in DE because we both wanted to kids coats. Talk about MADHOUSE!! There were only letting a few people in at a time. We waited about 30 mins in the cold to get in. Once we got it we realized it wasn't worth it as the lines were wrapped all the way around the store and both of us had already shopped the day before and got everything except the coats. We then picked up some coffee and snacks at Wawa. Got to Khols around 2 there were about 20 people in line. The four of us took turns waiting in line as it was a bit cold and no sense of all of us waiting. We made sure the people behind us knew that there were 4 of us. By the time the store opened the line had wrapped around the store. We had a game plan, 1 waited in line and the other three each had a section of the store to get the rest of the items that weren't on line. Got everything on the list and was done by 3:30. We then headed to the WM in Middletown DE because they wanted the 198 tv and lap top etc and didn't want to pay sales tax. There is a WM closer, but they one in Middletown is a super one and just a nicer store. We got there around 4. The store wasn't crowed, but the cheap lap tops were already accounted for. The got in line for the 198 tv. They told their number was 114 and 115 and they had 200 of them. I guess they allowed people to get more than 1 because their were only about 70 people in line. While they waited in line I priced matched the uno game with Kmart which was 10. and Walmarts was 20. I then went to another khols which was next door to this WM and picked up a few odds and end that we missed from 1st one. It took them about 45 mins to get the tv and pay. We then went to a few other stores lowes, Macy's, stapes etc. and was able to get all the stuff we had on our list. All in all a great BF experience
5. There is a 20% coupon post here "Extra20" that I used this morning.
6. Yes Card holders can get blackfriday prices today. I just left there. They also have a 10 off coupon just good for today.
7. There is a 20% one on here that I used this morning Extra20. It took my 15% one off that I got in the mail, but it wouldn't take both so I used the 20%
8. I just got mine at 8. They had tons of papers left. They also charge Sunday's rates 1.50 for today.
9. I just hate that the stores are opening up earlier and earlier. I think that is taking away from the family time, not only for the people who shop, but especially for those who have to work! I feel bad for them because how can you enjoy the time with the family when you know you have to be at work by 10:00 pm for the midnight sales.
10. I didn't my voucher, but I commented on their FB page yesterday and all I got was their ads on my FB page. I was sent a message via FB with an email addresses to send them my information which I did and I got my coupon about an hr later!!
11. I have a tie- 1st Circuit City about 5 years ago. My girlfriend waited in line for over two hours and the sad part was that their were only about 10 people in line ahead of her. They always had rebate deals and after each item the register had to spit out about 4 or 5 forms even for stupid DVDs. It took forever! 2nd was last year at walmart in DE. This was at the new 24 hour one which had just opened, normally we were use to waiting outside in the cold at the other ones here. But they let you in, but they seperated the doorbuster items and you could only get in 1 line, so you had to choose what item was more important if you wanted more than 1. They also let people shop for other door buster items that didn't require a ticket all night long and put them in their cart, ie the coats, pj's track suites etc. so they were already gone well before 5 am. Normally if you got to the store by 5 you still had a good shot at getting all those other items.
12. I normally don't shop at sears, but I went the day and all of the girls holiday dresses were 55% off. Most were between 40 and 50 or priced. I got a dress that was $50 for 10.25 with all the discounts. The math is off but that's was the final price.
13. I get JCP coupons all the time and I can't remember them having any type of restrictions.
14. All the 4th of july stuff was moved and replaced with back to school stuff, not sure where they moved it to. They had plenty of shirts but they were still 3 which was they price they always was.
15. I just left walmart in Elkton MD and they had some on the self in the toy department with a note saying 1 per person and that they were located in the Home and Garden department. Not sure why they were located in two different places?
16. I ordered 3!! I know people that paid $25 for 1
17. The things I have order have always gotten to the store pretty quickly, but the problem is there is always a line and they do seem to have problems finding the packages. It takes forever in line.
18. I'm taking mine back too. I am so not impressed with the way it looks. I like the three strands, but they look cheap!
19. One of the Walmarts here still had plenty of stuff left over the weekend, but not at the Black friday prices. That is the first time that prices went up on BF stuff. Normally the BF prices would remain until the stuff ran out.
20. I really wasn't planning on going out this year, but I guess I will make a trip to WM:)
21. I got a ton of stuff. Some of the shoes weren't in my size, but I got them anyway as I can go back and exchange for size. I also got my daughter a pair of tap shoes and a pair of ballet shoes in the next size up as I know she will be needing them soon.
22. Thanks! just got back. The best thing about this sale is you know they didn't jack up the prices just to make you think you got a deal!
23. 1. In your opinion, what store had the best Black Friday ad last year (2008) and why? 2. What would be your #1 piece of advice to someone totally new to Black Friday? 3. Besides offering great deals, what else can a store do to get you to shop there on BF? Walmart had the best BF ad because they had stuff for the entire family. I got knock out just about everyone at one store. Have a plan of attack! Know exactly what you want to purchase at each store. Keep copies of the stores ads that your are going to in your car and take each one in the store. Stick to your list if you didn't think it was a good deal the night before it's not a good deal the day of. Price match! Have a reasonable amount of advertised items. If a store have very limited supply of items I am more likey to skip that store all together in furture years. Once you get a bad rap it's hard to overcome
24. Whoo I got two of the chest today and a free breakfast to boot. Even though they said 1 person household the store I went to said you can get two. I had taken my mother in law with me just in fcase they would only let you get one. There were tons of people there when the store opened to get those chest. They had a table set up when you entered the store and asked what color you wanted and how many. Than you had to go to the actual department to pick up another form. They said once you had the second forms than you had until the store closed to get your item so no need to rush.
25. Childen's place has been very accommondating were coupons are concerned. I was at one at the outlets a few weeks ago and I had 100 worth of stuff and I just said darn I left my 15% off coupon to my sister and the girl just said she would give me the discount. I didn't even ask. I think that type of service only helps a store not hurt it as I had a good experience so I will continue to shop there. Children's place is also the only store that I know of that lets you use more than 1 coupon at a time. I had a 10.00 off coupon and a 15% off and they always let me use both.
