  1. I'm planning already to camp out this year for a desktop. Hoping to find a Hewlett Packard with good specs for around $299 I do have a feeling these may go on-sale BEFORE BF. Especially at Walmart.
  2. Brad-Is there anyway I can just buy one from "gotta-deal"?-I would really love to wear this!!!
  3. Walmart Lawyers AlWAYS gets me into the holiday sprit!!! When we hear from them I know BF is right around the corner!!
  4. I was in Target & K-Mart today & I saw Zoobles & Monster High in abundance. I cant remember if I saw them in Toys r us yesterday. But most def in Target & Kmart.
  5. DIFFENETLY Squinkies, Zoobles and Monster High will be hot. I went to ToysRUs, Target & Walmart this weekend. I figured I get it now to beat the Holiday demand. Squinkies are totally SOLD OUT!!!!!!! THIS IS SEPTEMBER!!!! I was SHOCKED!! There were plenty of Zoobles & Monster High. They are sold out on-line also. If anyone has any tips to find them please pass it along to me.
  6. Here's a little secrect no one seems to realize........the outlets normally extend the BF sale prices throughout the ENTIRE thanksgving weekend!! Woodbury Commons (Premium Outlets-New York) have done this for YEARS!!! I do my Best Buy & Walmart shopping on Black Friday and then hit the outlets Saturday morning. By Saturday morning every sale item is neatly stacked back onto the shelves, less crowds and I never had a problem getting a black friday sale item. These outlet stores stock loads are pretty HUGE for that week. Check the dates of the outlet BF sales. You'll save time & gas. I say gas because normally every year they close I-87 in New York right before 11:00pm (Thanksgiving day) because of the hordes of people trying to get into the outlets. It's quite a sight to see. I've seen (on the news) people parking on the side of the highway/in the woods & walk the last mile to get into the outlets. It's JUST THAT CROWDED. If you do go try to get there around 8/9pm. They normally open at 12 but you have think about the parking situation. Also, I normally park next to the exit. Because, 9 times out of ten there will be a traffic jam of cars still trying to GET IN when you are coming out of the store with your great purchases. It's a further walk but it's less headache when your trying to get out. Just a little tip for my fellow "gotta dealers"
  7. $30 Microwave from Walmart last year BF 2009
  8. I live in New York so it gets COOOLLLDDD...I take a blanket/snuggie, Thermos, portable camping heater, camping chair & of course the DH. I bought a cool chair last year that has a folding table attached. I just propped my portable heater on there & I was good to go. Of course I have my essentials: wallet, Ads and DH!!!
  9. WM had a similar sale last year and I camped outside of the store starting at 1am (3rd on line). By 5am the line was wrapping around the store. I would suggest to get there around 3/4 am. What's a few hours of sleep to save some big $$ You can make up for lost sleep when you get home with your X-box!
  10. You right about the price matching WM had a 42in SHARP for 498 now suddenly BB has a 42in Insignia for 498 hhhmmmmmm.......I just checked BB web-site for any midnight releases, pre-sales, etc......nothng came up. Just a Reward Zone members only shopping special. I didnt see anything worth going for. My neighbor works at a local best buy as a stock boy. I'll see if I can get any info out of him!!
  11. I stood outside Walmart (non-24 hour) for thier in-store special (early Nov) for the $298 Compaq Laptop lat year. I got there around 3am (3rd on line). Around 5am it was looking pretty much like Black Friday (long line). The web-site said only 10 per store. The store actually had 30. The manager came out around 6 to hand out the tickets. By, the time the store opened at 7 the laptops were already sold out to the "ticket holders". We could not make our actual purchase till 8 because of thier cash registers. Jeff7602 we must have been at teh same Walmart. :) I checked Best buy web site. You can buy the Insignia & Panasonic NOW!!! There is no special sale date. I have an 47 inch Insignia I bought last year. It's a cheap brand but has a GREAT Picture!! The only flaw is the sound. Since the speakers are flat you dont get great bass or stereo. However, I hooked it up to my stereo receiver and I was good to go! Also, back to the 42in Sharp at WM if you do dont go through the sales section and just look up the TV through the electronics section it gives you the option to "find in stores". Type in your zip code and the list of stores will come up that has it. They will ALL say LIMITED STOCK!!! I hope some of this info helps someone!
  12. You are ABSOULTLY HILARIOUS "3rd STATION we PLAY??" I laughed so hard (I'm at work) just now my co-workers came over to find out "what was so funny"!! I agree I love my Gotta Deal Family!!! I wish we all can have Thanksgiving dinner together!!!
  13. Yeah I saw it. These are some decent deals!! I plan to try to get the blu ray player & TV!! Remember to check out the days special value!!!!
  14. Hey dont get discouraged ....Copy this link www.walmart.com/mobileinfo and paste it in your search box or your address box. The site should pop right up. Dont Click the link directly from here because it wont work. It will take you straight to the homepage. I just found out that Target has Mobile updates as well. I signed up but having trouble confirming with them. They (Target) sent me a text message instructing me to reply "Y" to opt in for future sale messages. Everytime I replied, "Y", y, Y & yes; the system said it did not recognize. I'm not worried about it. I'm really waiting for Walmart text messages anyway!
  15. Yes-When I clicked the link it took me to the homepage. Copy & Paste it. It just worked for me!!
  16. Thanks for the heads up on the text messaging!! I just signed up!!! Gotta be ahead of the game!!!
  17. I'm not sure if your reffering to New York Hastings on the Hudson Best Buy? I live in Yonkers and if I choose to do BF at a Best Buy I would choose Hastings. Yonkers store usually have a Full Tactical Swat team out front. If you want to feel like your in a war zone with fellow civillians I would suggest Yonkers. Hastings is quiet. I did not do BF there but I did do the Midnight release of BatMan there last year which was like BF. The line was LONG but orderly. The employees came out out around 2 hours before opening to hand out tickets for the DVD.
  18. My arsenal includes: Newly added for '09 portable camping heater Newly added for '09-Snuggie Camping chairs Foot/Hand Warmers Cross body purse to carry money (no wallet-too bulky), cards & ads. Cross body is the best you dont have to worry too much about pick pocketers (unless they are REALLY BOLD) and your hands can stay free to grab stuff off the shelves Thermos filled with Homemade hot chocolate-yummy, yummy. New York winters can be brutal so I also wear my Ugg Boots
  19. BRAD-I TOTALLY APPRECIATE your WORK!!! You are keeping us ALL SANE for the next 6 weeks!!! You ROCK!!
  20. FULLY AGREE-I vow not to buy things just because the price is good. However, I will probably break this vow very soon-LOL!!!
  21. This is nice info to know. Thank you for sharing!!!
  22. I am TOO ANTSY!! My family & Co-Workers are sick of me already talking about BF!!! Where ARE THE ADS!!!! I keep looking at the current Half Priced Book ad as if I'm really interested. LOL......I know Ace should be coming out soon. That will hold me until the bigger stuff comes!
  23. I actually camped out at a 24hr Walmart in Jersey last year. They closed the evening of Thanksgiving and re-opened at 5am. However, around 3/4am the employees came out and gave out tickets to the big ticket items. Which worked out good. If you did not have a pre- given ticket (looked like a carnival ticket) for the item when you reached the cash register they ABSOLUTELY did not allow you to buy it. Only people with the tickets could buy it. So, the "front linenners" were able to calmly walk into the store and know that thier items were "reserved" for them.
  24. WOW-I never thought of ThermaCare Heat Wraps!! I will put that in my arsenal this year!!!
  25. I live in NYC & I have done BF 6 years running now. Does anyone have any suggestion on keeping warm? I usually do hand/foot warmers. But now I'm thinking about adding a Snuggie and a portable heater. Does anyone have any thoughts on the portable heater? Do they really keep you warm in "open air" (I wont be sitting inside a tent)? Does anyone have suggestions on a good brand of heaters? I was researching the Coleman portable heater-but not sure if I should buy it without asking my fellow BF fanatics first! Thanks ahead of time to anyone who replies!!!
