I WOULD NEVER EVER take my child with me!!!! TOO CHAOTIC!!! I saw people last year in Walmart with newborns, and small toddlers. One child (around 2 years old) was standing inside the big part of the shopping cart when 5am hit. Everyone SWARMMED toward the shopping cart because the dumb mother parked him near the doorbuster display. Long story short someone bumped the shopping cart and the kid flipped out of the cart HEAD FIRST!! THANK GOODNESS I caught the kid before he hit the floor & got possibly trampled. Silly mom didn’t even know what happened because she was rushing towards the doorbuster!!! LEAVE THE KIDS AT HOME!!!

I hated the new WM strategy. It was SO unfair. I got there (Secaucus, NJ) to camp out at 10pm. They allowed you inside the store but they had all the merchandise covered in black bags so you didn’t know "what was what". They only uncovered/reveled what was underneath at the designated sale time (12am & 5am). The store was SO CROWDED with people sitting & walking around it was a complete hazard. So, I got there at 10pm & a person who JUST WALKED IN at 5am got the door buster I was camping out for because the store was too crowded for me to WALK OVER to grab it. If I knew it was in the next aisle under the black bags I would've been over there. As soon as I arrived I kept asking employees where were certain doorbusters located-NO ONE KNEW & No One helped!! It was CHAOS in there!!! This "black bag" strategy created more of anxious atmosphere which almost created a riot. YES, I said THE WORD……RIOT!!! One woman grab some door busters from under the "black bags" without anyone looking and basically sat with them until 5am; That was when she can legally purchase them at the register. Another customer saw her and started arguing with her. What Tha?? If anyone from Walmart Corporate is reading this I SUGGEST a ticket system for ALL ELECTRONICS and DO NOT let people camp out INSIDE the store ALL night!! Pass out tickets outside and let people inside the store 1 hour before they can actually purchase it. Let them line up at designated areas to pick up there items with the tickets. Letting people camp out INSIDE is too chaotic!! I saw people stealing stuff left & right despite undercover cops in there.

Gap Factory/Outlet stores is on my BF list EVERY YEAR!!! There sales are INCREDIBLE!!!! The entire store will be 50-60% OFF on BF until 11am. after 11 it will be 30%. Last year I came armed with coupons! OMG! I get all of my holiday gift sweaters/ outerwear from there. I was buying $29.99, $39.99 sweaters for like $5 bucks each!!! That's my routine every BF. Walmart for the big ticket stuff then we drive to the outlet to hit up the gap outlet!! Put it on your list this year to!

I want one SO BAD but my paypal account only has a $1.18 right now; UUUGGGGHHH WHY IS LIFE SO CRUEL!!!! I'm going to have to wait until next month hopefully if Brad still has them in stock!

I have 2 layaways also at Kmart. Might be a 3rd soon. The K-mart sales associate told me they are going to start selling I-Pods & I-touch. They are waiting for the shipping to come in which will be in another week (which will be this w/e). Those can be placed on layaway also!

what is so great about urban outfitters? all the clothes would have to be 90% OFF in order for me to be in a crowd like that for a clothing store on BF!! I do walmart every year for BF not changing my tradition!

Actually the specs on this sounds pretty good. Windows 7, 1Gb Memory & 32Gb Hard Drive. As a self proclaimed Tekkie, I would TOTALLY buy this. HP has the same specs on it's website for $279. The HP screen is 10 inches though. Nevertheless, the Woot one is a nice start in my opinion. But personally, I'm waiting for the prices to go down further nearer the holidays. But these are the EXACT specs I'm looking for!

My family understands my nuttyness! My Co-Workers are starting to understand. They think I'm crazy b/c I've been talking about BF since August. But EVERY YEAR in November they all come to me to get tips & tricks on what to do on BF or where are the good sales!!! I always tell them check the BF Bible first.....Gottadeal.com!!! My husband "acts" like he hates it. But he comes with me EVERY YEAR!!! He says he only comes with me for safety reasons since it's night out & the crowds can get crazy. But he secrectly enjoys it!! Once the doors open he gets excited just like everyone else! I always treat him to a hot breakfast at I-HOP after shopping as my "thanks" for being my bodyguard. LOL!

You have a point about the space issue!! I had so much camping gear for being outside Walmart for 10 hours of cold weather that I BARELY had room for my shopping purchaes. I have a Jeep Liberty & couldnt see out my REAR WINDOW. I want to tone the camping gear down a little but that woul dbe less fun

I just bought a portable TV yesterday so I can have something to do while standing/sitting in line. I have to still check my portable heater to make sure it still works. I'll probably do that this weekend. That way if I have to buy another one I have time to do so before Nov. I bought storage bins at walmart this w/e to hide my daughter's toys in. I was also thinking about getting BIG plain brown boxes to hide her BIG toys in plain sight so she wont know what it is. You know........the things that wont fit inside the storage bin. I already made arrangements for her to stay at grandma's house after thanksgiving dinner for the weekend. Normally, when I get back home from BF shoppping I am EXHAUSTED!!! She's 7, so I would NEVER bring her to that type of chaos with me. I saw people with INFANTS in wal-mart last year for doorbuster. ARE THEY CRAZY!!!!! It never cease to amaze me that people bring young children for doorbuster deals!!??!! Last but NOT LEAST, I think I'm becoming addicted to gottadeal.com. I'm checking it throughout the day to see if the first ad came out yet.

Actually, started yesterday!!!! I put my daughter's toys on Layaway at Kmart. I was a little embarassed shopping so early. I NEVER shopped this early before. I usually start in early Nov. Come to find out everyone on the long layaway line was x-mas shopping also!! We all had a rousing conversation about early x-mas shopping. :) I plan to buy my big ticket items (netbook & Desktop) on BF!!!

I really want an IPAD but I know they wont be on sale. They probably will be packaged with a gift card. That's like standing outside on BF for gift card only (not worth it). So, I'm hoping to see $100 netbooks. I know gottadeal posted some netbooks around this price but I want to buy it new. Scared of refurbished. I read a post somewhere on gpttadeal that Walgreens or CVS (cant remember) had netbooks for $79-$100. Kinda weird buying electronics from the local Pharmacy. LOL But a good deal is a good deal. I just wont tell people where I got it from.

This IS GREAT!!! I've used Store pick-up in the past. It's fast!! Some BB stores even designate parking for "store pick-up" customers only!

Does anyone have any suggestions of HOW EARLY to get to Best Buy Black Friday morning?? I've heard of people lining up starting Thanksgving morning. Not sure if that's a urban legend or not. I live in New York city. But I usually do BF in Jersey due to lgistics of parking and stores being in close proximity. So any Northeast residents' responses would be helpful. :)

First & Foremost check GottaDeal.com!!!! Then start writing out my x-mas list & possible gifts for each person. I go on TRU & add toys to my wish list that my daughter has already asked for. I like this time of year to plan. It's nice, quiet & items are in stock
