  1. These are definitely bogus. None of them have ever shown that they could do ANYTHING in any test published in peer-reviewed literature. Here in Virginia, the state Attorney General in the 1970's barred some of these devices from sale in the state. That was when we had an AG interested in consumer protection. All of that died in the 1980's so as far as I know it's now back to "buyer beware" for ultrasonic pest control devices. Don't waste your money.
  2. Price adjustment did not work for me, because the 2 stores I tried on Wednesday did not put out any stock of the 10" Audiovox portable dvd player. I tried in Mooresville and Hickory, NC stores, and scoured the electronic department and nearby endcaps, but none of the players were around. They had tons of the other BF stuff like the Crosley 4-in-one player, etc. up on top shelves. When I finally asked the clerks, they claimed ignorance of course. I had seen 3 of these players locked in a cabinet in the Roanoke, VA store last week and figured that I could get them at one of the NC stores during my Thanksgiving trip. It sounds like they must have had very limited supplies of these players. Can anyone verify? Thanks.
  3. I can't find a portable DVD player in the Best Buy ad that is "better" than the one in the Target ad. Best Buy has a 7" screen player at $90 that has a 2-hour battery, same rating as the Target Audiovox player with a 10" screen. Best Buy has a Sony 8" screen player that is rated up to 5.5 hours, but it is over twice the price at $170!
