I actually always called before the ads were released, they are normally pretty nice about it and if it has a 8xxxx model number they are able to tell you how many they will have in stock. No, it most likely will not be a hot item.

No rebates, not sure on anti-virus. It most likely won't even be ticketed, you could go at 6-7 and probably get one.

Got a reply, they are doing it again. If anyone needs the exact email contents, PM me or simply send them an email using the address in the first post. -

I just sent an email, will post the result here when I get a reply. -
I agree, both seem like normal ads you'd see any other day in a BB/CC ad. Is saving $20 on a computer really worth the 12-36 hours you have to spend outside? I will most likely stop by for the House seasons anyway.

Not all are, but DVD's may be.

Were BF monitors available online in the past from BB? Thanks
-
This doesn't even look like a BF ad, just something that you'd find normally from Best Buy... I may want that monitor though (SS, 19").

MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/troyklee, added you as a friend, waiting for the request to be granted, and posted a blog entry. May make a YouTube vid as well later. -
If every Best Buy manager knew, wouldn't we have an ad by now?

Thanks for all of the replies first off. Thank you, but it needs a new motherboard which is pretty hard to install and isn't cheap/easy to find a new part for it.

My idea: find 3 items in stores (online or not) that you believe will be BF items. -
Circuit City closing 155 stores, announcement expected tomorrow

Mine's still open and isn't on the list. -
Circuit City's stock is at 26 cents... does that mean good bf deals?

As much as I hate to say it, they are killing themselves. Their customer support is terrible, their only checkout line is rarely staffed, and of course the employees huddle in little bunches and will ignore you if you ask them a question or will simply say "I'm busy" with a glare. The Apple Store and Best Buy have to be two of the best staffed places in the world. The Genius Bar is awesome for free tech help and great customer support, and in both the Apple Store and Best Buy, you can't move from section to section without being asked "Do you need help with anything?" -

I do think that it is two weeks, I'll double check on that. I'll send them an email tomorrow to make sure they are doing adjustments once again. On a side note, the thread has been updated once again. -

NetBooks are horrible. The keyboards are stripped down, they are really just a plus sized PDA. -
You can get a 10% discount if you bring in an older iPod to your local Apple Store. It can be any one, or you could check out the refurb department on Apple's website.

The Apple world is truly amazing. I purchased my MacBook about two months ago, and I've been nothing but amazed by this little machine. As all Apple products are, the thing is beautiful. Best of all, if you plan your timing right, you can go to Apple's refurb store and pick up an iMac for $699 or a MacBook for $799, with a one year warranty (extendable to 3), and a free $100 printer with it. They are amazing things, once you make the switch, you will never turn back. I was on the same boat as most of you "Oh, a PC can do what I need to do", etc, but take my word for it, a Mac just makes it 3x as enjoyable. -

Upgrade Or New Black Friday Computer???
mysticmage replied to deelite's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
How long do you believe your current system is going to last you? If your guess is below 2-3 years, you are best aiming for a new computer. If not, get a video card and/or use the program I recommended, it will really help speed games up and allow them to run on any video card. -
Upgrade Or New Black Friday Computer???
mysticmage replied to deelite's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
You'd be a lot better off with a newer computer (gaming preferably), but there is a program that will turn off some features to make it work on any video card (my way of playing GH3 on my MacBook): link -
I take BF as a "personal day." Thanksgiving I get off anyway.

People who position their carts perpendicular so people can't get to the thing they're getting ticks me off the most. Under that, line jumpers and ticket scalpers.
