Yeah, thats what I was thinking as well, but I wonder if the "pandemic effect" ( I need to copyright that phrase) will adjust the pricing. Cash flow has been impacted and the supply and demand structure will be out the window once the final sales totals come in after year end. The GDP is already blown, so hoping the companies will lower cost earlier to rain in buyers, either with a promotion and then bring back prices at a set rate for a while.

One could only hope, but the greed gets them everytime

Right, my nephews only ant to play Fortnight and other video games. When the game dies or there friends are off line they watch youtube of other people playing the game. It is crazy to me but they find joy in it.

With that response you know it is completely skewed. It is like she is rubbing it in - if you know marketing that is.

I know...but I do it anyway

Did I win yet????

I received my pins yesterday.

Since I am still home maybe early....I already started putting out my fall stuff around the house. Will decorate the porch this weekend.

Len, Pulling out the marketing strategies....I always wonder this when looking at surveys or polls. Depending on who you survey the results will always be skewed to the left or right. Hardly in the middle. It is like asking on customers at a Mercedes dealership there views on BMW and publish it as the majority of opinions in the nations.

I would partner with you but I think this will be too expensive. Lets go on Shark Tank and get them to pay for it. I will give Mr.Wonderful 50% and still make a killing

Now the issue is they only have limited quantities for doorbusters. We are now competing with the masses for all the only deals once the clock strikes midnight. I am looking for discounts now that I could live with just in case somebody's system crashes ( i predict it will) or online orders get cancelled ( I predict it will)

Man....Am I the only one that comes in here hoping Brad has announced they won everyday.....

I have never been big on online gaming. When I play I play the game for me and the joy of just me doing something. It has become so complex now with needing certain upgrades to even play with people.

I agree.

It is cool this weekend. I plan on sitting by the window, getting some work done, and watching a few movies. There actually filming a Hallmark movie in my town and I am going to try and get in the background or an extra. Then every year I can tell people to watch me in the crowds during the Holidays

I am in....This has always been a joy for me around the holidays. I will get my info sent in soon
-
I curious if there going to even have stock. With shipping and supply chains completely out of wack this may be the year of handmade toys.
-
I fear that shipping is going to be a nightmare this year. Missed packages, wrong deliveries, over worked drivers, damages and pilfering...... The increase in cost for shipping is going to hurt most people.

I think Walmart+ will hit at the exact same time. This might be a true price war and we could reap the benefits...one could wish for such an act, but even though there rivals both are not going to give stuff away.

That's a good article. I like the Comfort with offline holiday shopping methods section. The 45% somewhat uncomfortable is high but low as well. More people should be VERY uncomfortable with large crowds shopping in close proximity. Forget about the 6 foot rule, BF there is barley 6 inches between people.

Sine they started the Thanksgiving shopping my Walmarts are slammed packed. Full parking lots and all. The tow companies sit at the top of the street and wait for people to park on the grass and tow there cars. It is crazy. That was one of the reasons my online shopping picked up on the holidays because I refused to miss family time to get the doorbusters. I usually still come out good, a lot more work but I enjoy it
-
Wow, that is good. I need to come from under my rock a little more

Now thats a change worth talking about. That shuts down a lot of movement on Thanksgiving. Now the question is what store will dare to be different and buck the new status quo and open on Thanksgiving? Exactly!!!!

A bowling alley at the mall ? That is a good idea. Large open area for arcade games and such .... Let me check if I just came up with a new business model for my area.
